Buying An Instrument Is Not An Easy Task
Buying an instrument is not an easy task. While you can walk to a shop and pick yourself a pair of
white socks without thinking about it, you don t want to do the same with a musical instrument.
If you are looking to add a bit of music to your life, then ask these ten questions before you hand
out the money.
1. Are Your Buying the Right Instrument?
Selecting a musical instrument to play is a bit like buying shoes. If you don t get the right fit, you
are most likely going to end up with an aching body and hurt feelings.
You might love the sports shoes, but if you never go running than what is the point? Even if you
dream of playing the guitar, the violin might actually suit you much better, so pick carefully.
2. Do You Want the Instrument for the Right Reason?
As well as finding the right instrument for your personality and play style, you also need to stop
and think while you are getting the instrument. Are you just buying the guitar to impress the ladies?
If you have no interest in learning the specific instrument, if there s no passion in your belly than
don t bother. You ll learn a lot faster if looking cool isn t the only reason you re picking the chosen
instrument.
3. Can You Store the Instrument?
It might sound obvious but people are sometimes silly when it comes to instruments. You might be
destined to play the piano, it might be your dream and passion, but if you live in a studio flat the
size of a small closet, you might need to put your dreams on hold.

Paul Levy Case Summary
Paul Levy: Taking Charge of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center How would you describe
the situation Levy inherited? The Beth Israel Hospital and Deaconess Hospital were consolidated
and became Beth Israel Deaconess (BID) in 1996. BID operated under the Care Group Systems
(CGS), which was an affiliation of some Boston area hospitals. The BID hospital system was in
anarchy. There were significant operating losses, amounting to millions of dollars each year. BID
management seemed incapable of implementing turnaround plans. The hospital experienced
tremendous employee turnover and suffered from poor patient care. The old hierarchical structure
continued in the new BID. There were layers of management with bureaucratic... Show more

Even as he talked to the search team, he knew the responsibilities and his own abilities. His first
condition was that he would start his job the first week of January 2002, before the Hunter
report was presented. Hunter was the outside consultant hired to review the organization and
suggest changes to turn the organization around. Levy wanted to be hired prior to the Hunter
report so that he could use the report in ways that he thought would be best. The second
condition was to shrink the Board of Directors from a 44 member group to a more manageable
group of 18 members, which was accomplished just a few months after Levy s appointment as
CEO. The third condition of employment, that the Board remain out of the day to day
operations, showed that he believed in a chain of command. Levy made it clear that any meeting
between a board member and a staff person must be brought to Levy s attention prior to the
meeting. Perhaps Levy s intent was to avoid another situation where chiefs convinced the BOD
to fire the leader. After searching and various discussions, the Boards of The Care Group and BID
made the decision to appoint Paul Levy. They also secured an agreement from the AG to foreclose
the idea of selling the BID to a for profit hospital. Levy s first day as CEO of BID was January 7,
2002. Levy likely had many goals including: turn BID

Paracetamol Lab Report
The first step in the extraction of paracetamol was to crush the tablets. If I didn t do this then it
would have been difficult to dissolve them. To weigh them, we had to make sure that we used
the most accurate scales as possible as accuracy could be an issue. The spirit level should be
calibrated so that we can rule out the issue of accuracy. Another problem we could have had in
the practical was the method of filtering. The filter paper could have been too small so the filtrate
could have gotten over the top of the funnel and then we would have had insoluble impurities.
Also when doing this, we had to be careful that none of the filtrate ran down the beaker or we
would have lost some yield. The filter paper could have been poor quality

Upton Sinclair s The Jungle
From the arrival of Jurgis family to an America that was not what they expected, to the loss of all
hope in their lives, Upton Sinclair s The Jungle shows many instances where the immigrants and
workers of the industries are severely exploited. Sinclair traveled to the stockyards in Chicago in
order to observe the conditions the workers lived and worked in. What he found was disturbing,
disgusting, and something of major importance to the public. Sinclair then decided to write his
story about the abuse of the workers, published the story, and accurately called it The Jungle, since
the chaos in Packingtown could be compared to an actual jungle. His novel was considered to be a
part of a newer type of writing, called yellow journalism, since... Show more content on

His narrative is part of numerous attempts to document those living on the margins of American
society , which is why the story is considered to be part of yellow journalism (Connery). Upton
Sinclair s The Jungle provides an excellent example of the yellow journalism and muckraking that
opened the eyes of many Americans during the 1900 s by showing the exploitation of the workers,
the conditions of the workplace, and the products sold to the public.
Before the time of muckrakers and yellow journalists came along, the conditions held in
workplaces like Jurgis were disgusting and nauseating, but the public had no clue of any of this
since this news was not being shared with the public. In The Jungle , many secrets about the
sanitation and work laws conducted in the industries were kept secret from the public. Sinclair s
character, Jurgis, provides an excellent point of view as a worker having to make a living in
these conditions. For example, Jurgis points out that the livestock the businesses used for food
production was unfit to be fed to human beings, saying that the meat was old and crippled and
diseased , steerly , or covered in boils , and of course, company owners kept this from the public to
continue sales and production (Sinclair 709). The Jungle also shows a great deal

History Of The 1992 Los Angeles Riots
The 1992 Los Angeles Riots Los Angeles today is widely known for its urban and constantly
changing culture, but 25 years ago, people throughout the nation were watching the riots and
destruction of the city. In 1992, Los Angeles was a place of chaos and massive rioting so large
that people feared even going into the city. These rebels against society were fighting for five
days straight, causing a disturbance so large that $1.3 billion dollars in damages left the city a
burning mess. The rioters were fighting because of the outcome of the trial of Rodney King s
assaulters, leading to the five day storm of terror and destruction that forever changed the United
States. The 1992 Los AngelesRiots began with the trial of Rodney King s assaulters, which lead
to the beginning and end of the five day riots, leaving a horrific aftermath that affected people all
over the nation and still affects society even today. On March 3, 1991, Rodney King, a paroled
felon from Los Angeles, led officers on a high speed chase throughout Los Angeles County.
Eventually, King stopped for the officers and surrendered. Blacks, particularly young males,
complained that they were often stopped by police and proned out made to lie face down with
legs and arms spread and palms up for minor traffic violations or for no reason at all. says Lou

Racquet ball is a fast paced sport that has in the last few years has gained popularity at an
enormous rate. Not only does racquetball offer an excellent cardio workout, the intensity can be
exhilarating and releases stress. Once racquetball was considered a businessman sport, but with
the game increasing in popularity, it has become a sport that has attracted fans from all walks of
life and all ages. Racquetball is played on a rectangular indoor court with four side walls and a
ceiling. The courts are designed so that the ball can bounce off any surface and still be in play,
yet it is in a confined area so you don t have to run to cover too much territory. Fitness centers and

Points are scored when after serving the ball, the server wins the rally. If the player returning
serve wins the rally, no points are scored for either player, and the player who won the rally
retains the right to serve. Keeping the ball low and hitting it high gives the opponent time to get
to the ball before it bounces twice. Once the ball is in play, each player hits the ball back and
forth until one misses the ball, hits an illegal shot or goes out of bounds. The objective is earn
points or win the serve each player must try end the rally. To end a rally, a player s shot hits the
front wall at its lowest point, causing the ball to go out of bounds rather than bounce back into
the playing area; this is call a kill shot or a rollout. Rallies end with an error, or if the ball makes
contact with the floor before reaching the wall. The walls and ceilings can be used for shot
variations. The key to a great shot is to grip your racquet firmly. Many shots will fall short
because of an improper grip and the racquet ends up at the wrong angle when it actually makes
contact with the ball. A firm grip will make your shots faster and more accurate. Using the wall
to your advantage is one of your best defenses. To excel at the sport practice makes perfect.
Racquetball is also a great game for just one person. Practice hitting balls off of the walls

Common Carotid Atherosclerosis Model
We sum up that the IPB 1+CO diet could induce similar characteristic in body measurement and
plasma lipid profiles with western atherogenic diet and suggested that responsiveness could be a
good sign to choose the individual monkeys as an atherosclerosis model with any atherogenic diet,
included IPB 1+CO. If there was no increase of TPC at the first 3 months of feeding, the monkeys
might not produce a hypercholesterolemia, although for long term feeding, and might not form the
plaques in the arteries.
4.2. Ultrasound scanning
Imaging of arteries will become increasingly useful, justified, and available to determine
atherosclerosis condition [14] (Ibanez 2009). The goal of imaging is similar to that for examination
of plaque by pathological techniques. In clinical trials, the measurement of atherosclerosis most

The IMT of common carotid artery was usually measured because of its easier accessibility and
perpendicular location to the ultrasound beam, whereas carotid atherosclerosis predominantly
occurs earliest downstream in the bulb (and often only in the bulb), which may not be as easily
visible with B mode ultrasound [34] (Finn et al. 2010). The standard value of common carotid
IMT that indicate the presence of atherosclerotic plaque in animal model M. fascicularis have not
been mentioned before. From all the parameters (size, shape, echogenicity and homogeneity
changes), we determined that plaque in cynomolgus in this study was presented at the IMT at least
0,3 mm. In human, normal common carotid IMT has been established arbitrarily as approximately
0.05 to 0.11 cm; thus, values 0.11 cm are considered to indicate the presence of an atherosclerotic
plaque and its correlates linearly with the number of atherosclerotic risk factors like hyperlipidemia

Earned Tax Credit Policy Analysis
For a start, as my policy analysis term paper, I subjectively selected the Earned Income Tax
Credit (EITC), based on my personal experience with the policy and from curiosity as how the
mechanisms of the policy truly operate. With that being said, the United States federal Earned
Income Tax Credit or Earned Income Credit (EITC or EIC) is a refundable taxcredit for low to
moderate income individuals and couples particularly those with children (IRS, 2013). In this
paper, I will first introduce the Earned Income TaxCredit policy followed by the description of the
problems/social inequalities that necessitated the policy. Next, I will then describe the policy in

Benefits Of Web Application Development
Web application is gradually making way into businesses owing to its multi functionality and
client centric benefits. A web application is a mix of two script namely client side like HTML
and JavaScript and the server side like PHP. The former script is responsible for presenting data
while the latter is utilized for date retention.
A web apps project involves primarily 4 phases of project analysis, planning, development and
formalization. All 4 phases work in tandem with each other to build an all inclusive, usable
application for the user. Though, it may be sometimes too tough for users to switch between two
web applications nevertheless, this does not wear down its vitality.

Opa is good for users too, as they do not have to sue a plug in to use Opa applications. It offers a
rather compact and quick platform for web application development.
Browser Compatibility
It is imperative to test run web applications for cross browser compatibility, firstly on Firefox, as
it offers an easy to debug and issue resolving option. Other considerations while designing a web
application for browsers are:
Use div instead of tables as they offer the same functionality and can be easily spot by browsers
Use Internet Explorer 6 to showcase images that are transparent
Use JavaScript scroller to read marquee HTML tag on Internet Explorer
Define the exact image dimensions for testing images in Firefox
Use HTML embed tag to include background sound and change its attributes for repetition effect
Reset CSS to avoid inconsistent effects of the web page across browsers
Use commonly used fonts which can be found on every user s computer
Use relative positioning of elements so they look consistent on all browsers
Interface Development
A good web application is the one that offers a smooth interface experience for its users. There are
ways to create smart, intuitive and visually appealing interfaces, these are:
Select the most common functions of your application and cut down the rest. This can be
accomplished via pop up menus or controls on the screen

Computer Fraud And Identity Theft
Abstract
In today s world where computers, cellular phones, wireless internet connections and electronic
transactions are common place norms, maintaining ones identity can be a challenge. In 2012 the
United States population was 314.1 million people, in the same year, 75.6 percent of households
reported having a computer. (Government Census, 2012) With this high population and electronic
use, one could extrapolate that there is high risk for computer fraud and identity theft. For example
consider these statistics in 2013, identity theft complaints accounted for 14% of all complaints. The
most common form of reported identity theft was government documents/benefits fraud, 34%,
followed by credit card fraud, 17%, phone or utilities fraud, 14%, and bank fraud, 8%. Forty one
percent of identity theft complainants reported whether they contacted law enforcement. Of those
victims, 74% notified a police department and 61% indicated a report was taken. (Government
Census, 2012) There are many ways to counter identity theft, some being not to give out personal
data or to make sure to properly destroy/secure all important documentation. These methods of
protection seem quite feasible and often time practical, however with the rate at which identity theft
occurs the validity of these protections might come into question. Therefore this research proposal
begs the questions of how effective are these counter measures, to what degree are the counter
measures followed by the victims, and

Douglas Hofstadter s Le Ton Beau De Marot
While many forms of writing are absolutely difficult to translate, as shown by Douglas Hofstadter
s analysis of a French poem by ClГ©ment Marot in Le Ton Beau de Marot, song lyrics would
arguably require the most effort. In addition to the basic semantic translation required of any text in
order to preserve meaning, translated songs would need to maintain a similar rhythm in both a
musical and a more syntactic sense as the original in order to convey a similar tone. This task
means that many songs could be considered somewhat untranslatable, since in many cases, such
prosody could not be perfectly recaptured in a translation. One songthat exemplifies this difficulty
is Down and Out by the band The Academy Is. The first half of the piece in particular builds a
vague narrative, which is told using rhyme schemes, the subversion of common English sayings,
and rhythmic repetition of certain phrases for emphasis. For example, the second verse contains
the lyrics out of the house, she grabs the keys, runs for the hills and doesn t leave a letter. That way
the impact will be much better. First of all, the somewhat simplistic rhyming of the words letter and

Theme Of Beauty And The Beast By Angela Carter
Angela Carter, an English writer, is best known for her feminist rewriting of classical fairy tales.
In her stories she prominently uses themes, such as, virginity, the pornographic image, violence
and sex, and many others. Degrading someone to the status of a mere object, in other words
objectification, is a theme Angela Carter shows in many of her fairy tales, specifically the
objectification of women. According to Carter, the objectification and subjugation of women is
part of a latent context of fairy tales that she expressed simply by virtue of being a woman. Both
The Tiger s Bride and The Courtship of Mr. Lyon are fairy tales intertextually linked with Beauty
and the Beast and show the reader Carters views on femininity. Not only does Carter use the theme

Her objectification continues until the end of the story. She says, The six of us, mounts and
riders both could boast amongst us not one soul, either, since all the best religions in the world
state categorically that not beasts nor women were equipped with the flimsy, insubstantial things
.... (Carter, 44), contending that men see women as soulless, just as they see animals soulless.
She feels that the men who claim to possess souls consider her as nothing more than an item of
physical worth and that is why she calls them flimsy and insubstantial . When the heroine says
that she is no longer resembles the soubrette, she begins to claim her own desires, meaning that
she can no longer submit to society s female stereotypes. She declares, I will dress her in my own
clothes, wind her up, send her back to perform the part of my father s daughter. (Carter, 46).
Through the symbol of the soubrette, Carter shows the reader that this view of women weakens the
character and prevents her from fulfilling her potential. Thus, The Tiger s Bride , the heroine must
accept the animal in nature in herself and in the Beast, in order to be free of the human world

The map above shows the location of Ypres on the continuous front and shows the dates and
movements of the battle, from both sides. As can be seen on the map, the first battle of Ypres, and
the subsequent ones, took place on the famous flanders fields. The city of Ypres itself was located
strategically on the roads leading to ports in Flanders; due to this the city had been the locus of
several battles since the 16th century onwards. Many historians agree that the utter level of
destruction in this city alone, relative to the amount of land gained, frankly outlines the sterility of
the entire First World War.

The first Battle of Ypres was a sign of what was to come in the following battles in the war,
however it was still one of the bloodiest battles in the course of World War 1 and Left its mark on
each of the nations involved.
Details of the Battle
The First Battle of Ypres lasted from 12 October to 22 November. This Large battle itself can in
fact be further dissected into three major battles: Langemarck 21 24 October; Gheluvelt 29 31
October; and Nonnebosschen 11 November.
The first battle started a trend that would essentially go on for the remainder of the battle of
Ypres, it was an encounter between British of German troops which lead to an Allied defence from
a succession of large German offensives eventually causing the Germans to dig deeper and become
more defensive when their offensive resources were exhausted. Sir John French believed that the
allies could defeat the Germans by attacking from the North, believing that there was only one
German corps, when in fact there were 5 between Ypres and Nieuport. There was initial progress
however the number of German troops encountered seemed only to grow. By the time they realised
that they were outnumbered and went into the defensive, they had gained less than a kilometer.
According to professor Ian Beckett, Ground held at such a cost it could not be surrendered lightly .

Romanticism In The Awakening
Romanticism can be characterized by its emphasis on emotion and individualism as well as
glorification of all the past and nature. There was a strong recourse to historical and natural
inevitability, a Zeitgeist, in the representation of its ideas. That there is this spirit that All people
aim for freedom and most fall short to reach their ultimate goal of total freedom. I will argue that
Edna Pontellier and Hegel are trying to find freedom during their era, but are unable to reach it.
In The Awakening, by Kate Chopin, we find our main character Edna who has this longing for
freedom and no matter what she tries she feels trapped in a society that she feels intrudes on her
freedom. During this time in age, Edna is expected to perform her domestic duties and care for
the health and happiness of her family. In this time of the Zeitgeist, victorian women were
prevented from seeking the satisfaction of their own wants and needs. During Edna s gradual
awakening, she discovers her own identity and acknowledges her emotions and desires actually
are. The water symbolizes freedom, escape, independence. Edna s awakening truly begins in the
water, because this is where she learned how to swim. This was something she has always
previously been afraid of and after this incident, her mind begins to turn with new possibilities of
independence and the future. As she swam, she seemed to be reaching out for the unlimited in
which to lose herself (Chopin, p. 32). This event in her life

My Position From A Kantian Perspective Essay
The Categorical Debate George told Martha where a large sum of money he had accumulated
was stored. He asked her to see that the money was given to the Society for Protection against
Alien Control of the Earth (SPACE). Now that he has died, she is considering using the money
to support the activities of the local Hunger Task Force, an organization that provides donated
food to those who need it. What should Martha do? My position from a Kantian perspective is
that Martha should give the money to the Society for Protection against Alien Control of the
Earth (SPACE) because of the agreement Martha made with George before he died. I shall
present arguments to support my position from a Kantian perspective by setting the precedence
demonstrated by Kant as is evidence in duty and moral obligation. I will also present arguments
to refute the utilitarian position that Martha should use the money to support the activities of
the local Hunger Task Force, an organization that provides donated food to those who need it. As
well as the arguments present by Kants catergorical imperative. Kant ascribes Duty means that
we should never act in any way that we wouldn t want the principle we act on to be a universal
law. Which in effect is something that is done as part of a job or because the law requires it.

Throughout the play of Antigone as seen in Sophocles by Robert Fables, there are various
instances displaying the importance of the laws of the gods versus the laws of the people for

man, Creon in particular. Antigone prioritized godly laws over manly laws in regards to her

Antigone stated that she will stand by her choices no matter the consequences or circumstances if
it meant she was obeying the laws of the gods. As it says on page 82 lines 509 511, These laws I

Knee Jerk Reflex
When you hit the patella tendon a kick reflex is produced which is also known as the knee jerk
(knee reflex). The main reason why hitting the patella tendon results in muscle contraction is so
that the muscle is protected from unwanted harm such as being yanked vigorously or hyper

spindle is stretched an impulse is instantly sent to the human s spinal cord and a rapid response to
contract the specific muscle is admitted. Due to the impulse not having to travel all the way to the
brain only up the spinal cord and back this results in a very rapid reflex, only taking about 1 2

New Dinosaur Research Paper
A new dinosaur species was uncovered from within the largest fossil collection at Wits University s
Evolutionary Studies Institute. The dinosaur had been hiding for over 80 years in the fossil
collection until a PhD student and a professor happened upon the bones. Finding a New Dinosaur
Among Old Bones
When PhD student Emil Krupandan and Dr. Alejandro Otero visited the Evolutionary Studies
Institute (http://www.wits.ac.za/esi/17918/evolutionary_studies_institute.html) to study a
collection, they knew they would be sifting through thousands of bones. But the University of Cape
Town student and the visiting paleontologist from Argentina could have never guessed that they
would uncover a new dinosaur species. But that s exactly what they did ... Show more content on

The conclusions revealed that the bones didn t belong to the Aardonyx. The bones belonged to a
new dinosaur species that is an estimated 200 million years old.
One distinctive feature of the new dinosaur was its astragalus, or ankle bones, which appeared in
the shape of a cross. Taking a cue from these bones, the paleontologists named the dinosaur
Sefapanosaurus from the Sesotho word sefapano, meaning cross. How can a 200 million year old
fossil be a new dinosaur?
Wits University s ESI is home to the largest fossil collection in South Africa. The specific
collection Krupandan and Otero were searching through was collected in the Zastron area in the
Free State, nearly 30km from the border of Lesotho. The collection dated back to the late 1930s.
So how can an 80 year old fossil collection in a research institute keep a new species of dinosaur
hidden all these years?
Senior researcher at the ESI Dr. Jonah Choiniere believes it just goes to show how vast the
collection is and how much more research needs to be conducted. What s more is this new evidence
has completely changed the dinosaur paleobiology research that is underway in South

Explain What Caused Alexander The Great To Be Successful...
What caused Alexander the Great to be successful against Darius? Throughout history Alexander
the Great has been remembered for being a superb military commander. Alexander always led his
Army from the front, forming the point of the spearhead to engage the enemy. This not only
inspired his men, but gave them courage during battle. Darius, on the other hand, was the exact
opposite. He chose to lead from behind while mounted on chariot and surrounded by body guards
(Wasson, 2011). These two military commanders met in battle in 333 BC at Issus. Alexander s
Army was quite smaller than Darius s, but the location of the battle would work to Alexander s
advantage. Though outnumbered, the battlefield was located between the sea and a mountain
range. Darius s larger Army could not out flank Alexander s Army to achieve a decisive victory.

Alexander captured the royal family and through compassion, treated them with kindness and
respect. Shortly thereafter, Alexander announced his claim to the thrown of Persia and
proclaimed himself to be King of Asia (Wasson, 2011). This was not the first time that Darius
had retreated from a battle with Alexander. This would, however, be the culminating event that
would seal his fate. Bessus had Darius stabbed and left for dead near modern day Shahrud.
Alexander recovered his body, and being the compassionate leader that he was had Darius s body
buried with royal honors in the tombs of Persepolis (Walbank, 2017). Alexander died ten years
later on July 13th, 323 B.C. Though not by injury, or in battle, but from what appeared to be

Michael Joseph Jackson, African American Essay
Michael Joseph Jackson, African American, male, born 1958 in Gary Indiana, but was raised
outside of Chicago. Where Michael was born was primarily black in the 60 s (99%). However,
when the Jackson Family moved to Encino California in 1971, they bought what is called
Hayvenhurst House. This is where Michael and his entire family would live until Michael moved
out in 1988 to Neverland Ranch. The African American population in Encino, California and Los

Growing up, 11 people lived under his family s roof: his two parents: Joseph Walter Jackson and
Katherine Jackson; along with his 8 brothers and sisters: Maureen, Sigmund, Toriano, Jermaine, La
Toya, Marlon, Steven, and Janet. In 1964, five of the Jackson Brothers began a music group named
The Jackson 5, which Motown Records signed in 1968. In total, the Jackson s made 14 albums.
They were one of the first black American musicians to have an African American and a White

rounded face, infamous voice, and those doe eyes; a star is born.
A year later, and 3 solo albums later, puberty for Michael started to diminish the baby fat and

The Battle Of Vimy Ridge

Battle of Vimy Ridge
The Battle of Vimy Ridge was one of the greatest military battles ever fought. This battle
contributed to Canada s coming of age as a nation. The taking of Vimy Ridge claimed more than
200,000 lives during the first World War and will forever remain in the history as one of the worlds
great military triumphs. The Canadian Military used extensive planning, new innovative weaponry
and relied on the tremendous courage and sacrifice of its soldiers in order to claim victory.
The Canadian Military s extensive planning of the assault on Vimy Ridge was one of the main
reasons for its successful victory. Prior to the assault, the Canadian troops were intensely prepared
in terms of their training. The soldiers were so well trained that if their leader was killed they
would be able to follow through with the plan with great precision and execution. The battle was so
thought out that there was absolutely nothing left to chance. The Canadians created maps of the
entire ridge created from many previous ridge assaults (Stephens, John. Innovations. ) along with
arial photos of the location. As the Canadians captured German Soldiers they would try to make out
as much information of the terrain as possible (Foot, Richard. Meticulous Preparation. ) The maps
would have the location of the German defences and provided them with the timetable of the
checkpoints and trench outlines. The maps were

Stereotypes Of Dinosaurs
Through excavating in bone beds it has become apparent that dinosaurs were more than singular
animals and followed patterns displayed by many current animal groups when concerning family.
Dinosaurs had ranks within their herds and there where often struggles of territoriality, social
dominance, court ship, and feeding (Tanke Currie, 1998, pg. 181. These insights have been gained
from light tooth scars around the snout and on top of the skulls of many dinosaurs. While family
units where common among herbivores, theropods also had herds, though they where often
smaller in size. Among herbivores herding was often a means of protection for both adults but also
young and un hatched eggs (pg. 167). However, one example of a smaller herd was among

because each and every one of them were either escaping, thrown in jail, or murdered and framed

populism from 1930 to 1964: Brazil witnessed over the course of this time period the change from
export orientation of the First Brazilian Republic (1889 1930) to the import substitution of the

Insanity Defense Insanity
The insanity defense is a hot topic in today s crime dramas. Ask a television saturated college
student how often they believe this defense is used in court and they estimate that it is employed
about one third of the time (Lilienfeld 8). In reality, this defense is only used rarely, with a
successful attempt being even rarer. Even as a cultural sensitivity to mental illness is cultivated in
schools and workplaces, the court remains a skeptical harbinger of judgement to the mentally ill,
more often handing down punishment when treatment is needed than excusing a guilty man of his
crime. Controversy surrounding the morality of the insanity defenseis heavy, posing significant
questions that can shape the future relationship between insanityand the justice system in the United
States. [CLARIFY THESIS]
The evolution of the insanity defense has taken place over hundreds of years; the earliest records
of criminals pardoned for madness date back to the sixteenth century. However, the first instance
of a court defense most resembling today s insanity plea took place in 1843, titled the M Naghten
rule. Although this case took place in England, the policy born from it was adopted by the United
States soon after (Rolf 2). Another test that is widely used in the United States, the Durham test,
originated in New Hampshire in 1871. The third test was brought about by the American Law
Institute in 1955. These three standards for legal insanity are still used today and approach the

Describe The Importance Of The Colosseum
The Colosseum
Koch, Matt
Do you know what one of the most important structures to mankind history is? The Colosseum. The
importance of the Colosseum, otherwise known originally as the Flavian Amphitheatre, was that
many of the materials, styles, and architecture were inspiring to many architects and designers
constructing today s modern facilities and structures.
The emperor of Rome at the time, Vespasian, began building the Colosseum (Flavian
Amphitheatre) in 72 AD. They believed that in ancient Rome the patron was more noble and
loyal than the architects, and the architects were just craftsmen and hired hands (Woog, 2014).
So as of today the designers and architects are unknown to the world, and will probably never be
found out about because if limited evidence. Floor plans, 3 dimensional scale models,
perspective drawings, and full size design sketches are what were used by the anonymous
architects and designers of the Colosseum (Hopkins, 2011). The site of construction was formerly
known as the Golden House, owned and lived in by Nero the Emperor. This was drained and as a
precaution against potential earthquake damage concrete foundations six metres deep were put
down to support it (Cartwright, 2012). And eight long years of hard work and design later the
Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre) was completed in 80 CE.
There were many materials mixed in the project of constructing the Colosseum (Flavian
Amphitheatre). The walls of the Colosseum were built with stone. They made use of a number of
arches in order to keep the weight down, but yet still keep them strong (Cartwright, 2012). The
floor of the Colosseum was wooden and usually covered in sand most of the time. But the floor
was taken out due to heavy weathering in 1674 AD. And about 19 miles outside of Rome in a little
town of Tivoli were quarries where the Romans mined there stone blocks out of to construct the
walls of the Colosseum. Some other material they had used to construct the colosseum include,
limestone brick, concrete and volcanic stone (otherwise known as tufa ), pumice stone. And
including bronze, which was used for statues around the stadium. But some parts of the colosseum
that are made of concrete are not authentic original to the

Real World Vs Crucible
The Crucible Compared to the Real World Piers Anthony once said, When one person makes an
accusation, check to make sure that he himself is not the guilty one. Sometimes it is those whose
case is weak who make the most clamour. Everybody has been accused of doing something that
they have not at some point in their life. Being blamed for something that one was not responsible
for happens during adulthood just as much as it does during childhood. False accusations are not
uncommon in today s society. As matter of fact, they ve been prevalent throughout all of history.

One of the most prevalent cases of false accusation is a woman arraigning a man for rape.
Biurny Peguero s case is a perfect example. A woman named Biurny Peguero decided to frame a
man named William McCaffery, who was a construction worker at the time. Peguero told law
enforcement that she was sexually assaulted by three men, only mentioning McCaffery. She
utilized the bite marks on her body that she received from a night out with her girl friends to
claim that McCaffery caused them. After the night out, she asked the three men to give her a
ride back to her friends. McCaffery and the other two men did just that, without touching her.
She received the bite marks from her friends, because when she returned to her friends, all of
them broke out in a ridiculous brawl. Edicio Martinez of CBS News wrote that, But upon the
returning of her friends the argument that began in the Umbrella Lounge escalated into a full
fledged fight. The women punched and bit at each other and when she asked why she was so
upset and if those boys raped you, she simply agreed, to try and explain her behavior (Martinez).

Banning Guns On Campuses And Universities
Crime seems to be at an all time high in current times. I feel that this is due to so many people
carrying guns. The safety of all people should be the focus of our society now. One area we
really need to not allow firearms on campuses. This is only one area to focus on. There are
several reason why allowing guns on colleges campuses and universities could be dangerous to
people. First, gun violence seems to lead to an escalation of violent crime. The percentage of
students that could be robbed on their way to class increases . Campuses that do not have metal
detectors to screen the students are at risk for violent crime. Some students could be carrying guns
without legally obtaining methods to carry them. New Orleans campuses have not had the violence
that has taken place at other campuses. It could take place and since bullets have no name on them,
anyone could be the victim. When students leave class late at night there is a risk that they could be
involved and even killed over little things as their tennis shoes, clothes, or money. The violence is
getting worst around the world. All fifty states allow citizens to carry concealed weapons they meet
certain requirements ... only nineteen states has ban carrying a concealed weapon on college
campus...and Louisiana is one of them. Violence on any campus should not be tolerated as it puts
the faculty, staff and students in danger. Additionally, there are students who could snap when
someone makes them angry. Students

teens and adults, causing less not fatal symptoms, although this occurs rarely. This disease is
caused because you are missing an enzyme in the body named Hexosaminidase. Without this
enzyme a fatty element called Ganglioside builds up on lysosomes which then this overcrowds the
cells causing this to damage the nerve cells in the body but mainly on the brain. The effect on
children begins in the fetus during the pregnancy. A baby with the disease appears normal until six

The Evolution and Importance of Reconnaissance Satellites...
After the U 2 incident of 1960, more emphasis was placed on safer methods of acquiring
reconnaissance imagery. The first photographic reconnaissance satellite program was the
codenamed Discovery. These first satellites could see objects as small as 35 40 feet and once they
ejected their film capsule, the satellites were forced to reenter and burn up in the atmosphere. The
latest declassified satelliteis from the late 1970s and can focus on objects as small as 5.5 inches.

CORONA, the codename for program for the first generations of satellites, allowed the United
States to have relatively recent imagery of any place on the globe. From 1960 to 1972, some
form of the CORONA system was in orbit. In 1962, the fourth generation was given the name
KH 4 (Key Hole, like looking through to see), and the previous generations were retroactively
given the preceding numbers. KH 1 through KH 4B flew 144 missions, returning usable film
102 times. The retrieval method was one that we would call unorthodox today, but without a
way to transmit the data easily back to earth a different system would need to be developed.
After the several thousand foot roll of film was shot, it was ejected from the satellite in a reentry
vehicle. The capsule would reenter the atmosphere and deploy a parachute. This would then
ideally be caught by a special plane. If the plane was unable to recover the capsule, a military
ship was waiting to retrieve it. The next generation of satellites would start to bring the military
and intelligence community the high quality imagery it desired. This series was codenamed
GAMBIT. The first, KH 7 was essentially the same as CORONA, but with a better a camera. It
featured the same single capsule ejection/recovery system. The great leap forward was when an
improved version of this camera was paired with a new satellite design. The KH 8 featured two or
three return capsules, solar panels, and more fuel. This allowed these

In such cases, one party s breaking and entering into the other party s living space at night with the
intent of committing a felony will constitute burglary.
Many jurisdictions have also eliminated the element of dwelling from the burglary definition and
consider burglary the entering onto any premises with the intent to commit a felony therein.
As we have said, the breaking and entering must be done at night in order to qualify as burglary.
However, the breaking and entering do not have to be done on the same night. That is to say, the
defendant can create the opening in the dwelling on one night and then use that opening to gain
entry on another night. Please remember, however, that, as we said before, there must be a causal
relationship between the breaking and entering so that, even though the breaking and entering can
occur on different nights, the breaking must be the means that the defendant uses to gain access to
the dwelling.

consider burglary the entering onto any premises at any time with the intent to commit a felony

  • 2. Buying An Instrument Is Not An Easy Task Buying an instrument is not an easy task. While you can walk to a shop and pick yourself a pair of white socks without thinking about it, you don t want to do the same with a musical instrument. If you are looking to add a bit of music to your life, then ask these ten questions before you hand out the money. 1. Are Your Buying the Right Instrument? Selecting a musical instrument to play is a bit like buying shoes. If you don t get the right fit, you are most likely going to end up with an aching body and hurt feelings. You might love the sports shoes, but if you never go running than what is the point? Even if you dream of playing the guitar, the violin might actually suit you much better, so pick carefully. 2. Do You Want the Instrument for the Right Reason? As well as finding the right instrument for your personality and play style, you also need to stop and think while you are getting the instrument. Are you just buying the guitar to impress the ladies? If you have no interest in learning the specific instrument, if there s no passion in your belly than don t bother. You ll learn a lot faster if looking cool isn t the only reason you re picking the chosen instrument. 3. Can You Store the Instrument? It might sound obvious but people are sometimes silly when it comes to instruments. You might be destined to play the piano, it might be your dream and passion, but if you live in a studio flat the size of a small closet, you might need to put your dreams on hold. ... • 3. Paul Levy Case Summary Paul Levy: Taking Charge of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center How would you describe the situation Levy inherited? The Beth Israel Hospital and Deaconess Hospital were consolidated and became Beth Israel Deaconess (BID) in 1996. BID operated under the Care Group Systems (CGS), which was an affiliation of some Boston area hospitals. The BID hospital system was in anarchy. There were significant operating losses, amounting to millions of dollars each year. BID management seemed incapable of implementing turnaround plans. The hospital experienced tremendous employee turnover and suffered from poor patient care. The old hierarchical structure continued in the new BID. There were layers of management with bureaucratic... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even as he talked to the search team, he knew the responsibilities and his own abilities. His first condition was that he would start his job the first week of January 2002, before the Hunter report was presented. Hunter was the outside consultant hired to review the organization and suggest changes to turn the organization around. Levy wanted to be hired prior to the Hunter report so that he could use the report in ways that he thought would be best. The second condition was to shrink the Board of Directors from a 44 member group to a more manageable group of 18 members, which was accomplished just a few months after Levy s appointment as CEO. The third condition of employment, that the Board remain out of the day to day operations, showed that he believed in a chain of command. Levy made it clear that any meeting between a board member and a staff person must be brought to Levy s attention prior to the meeting. Perhaps Levy s intent was to avoid another situation where chiefs convinced the BOD to fire the leader. After searching and various discussions, the Boards of The Care Group and BID made the decision to appoint Paul Levy. They also secured an agreement from the AG to foreclose the idea of selling the BID to a for profit hospital. Levy s first day as CEO of BID was January 7, 2002. Levy likely had many goals including: turn BID ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Paracetamol Lab Report The first step in the extraction of paracetamol was to crush the tablets. If I didn t do this then it would have been difficult to dissolve them. To weigh them, we had to make sure that we used the most accurate scales as possible as accuracy could be an issue. The spirit level should be calibrated so that we can rule out the issue of accuracy. Another problem we could have had in the practical was the method of filtering. The filter paper could have been too small so the filtrate could have gotten over the top of the funnel and then we would have had insoluble impurities. Also when doing this, we had to be careful that none of the filtrate ran down the beaker or we would have lost some yield. The filter paper could have been poor quality ... • 5. Upton Sinclair s The Jungle From the arrival of Jurgis family to an America that was not what they expected, to the loss of all hope in their lives, Upton Sinclair s The Jungle shows many instances where the immigrants and workers of the industries are severely exploited. Sinclair traveled to the stockyards in Chicago in order to observe the conditions the workers lived and worked in. What he found was disturbing, disgusting, and something of major importance to the public. Sinclair then decided to write his story about the abuse of the workers, published the story, and accurately called it The Jungle, since the chaos in Packingtown could be compared to an actual jungle. His novel was considered to be a part of a newer type of writing, called yellow journalism, since... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His narrative is part of numerous attempts to document those living on the margins of American society , which is why the story is considered to be part of yellow journalism (Connery). Upton Sinclair s The Jungle provides an excellent example of the yellow journalism and muckraking that opened the eyes of many Americans during the 1900 s by showing the exploitation of the workers, the conditions of the workplace, and the products sold to the public. Before the time of muckrakers and yellow journalists came along, the conditions held in workplaces like Jurgis were disgusting and nauseating, but the public had no clue of any of this since this news was not being shared with the public. In The Jungle , many secrets about the sanitation and work laws conducted in the industries were kept secret from the public. Sinclair s character, Jurgis, provides an excellent point of view as a worker having to make a living in these conditions. For example, Jurgis points out that the livestock the businesses used for food production was unfit to be fed to human beings, saying that the meat was old and crippled and diseased , steerly , or covered in boils , and of course, company owners kept this from the public to continue sales and production (Sinclair 709). The Jungle also shows a great deal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

History Of The 1992 Los Angeles Riots The 1992 Los Angeles Riots Los Angeles today is widely known for its urban and constantly changing culture, but 25 years ago, people throughout the nation were watching the riots and destruction of the city. In 1992, Los Angeles was a place of chaos and massive rioting so large that people feared even going into the city. These rebels against society were fighting for five days straight, causing a disturbance so large that $1.3 billion dollars in damages left the city a burning mess. The rioters were fighting because of the outcome of the trial of Rodney King s assaulters, leading to the five day storm of terror and destruction that forever changed the United States. The 1992 Los AngelesRiots began with the trial of Rodney King s assaulters, which lead to the beginning and end of the five day riots, leaving a horrific aftermath that affected people all over the nation and still affects society even today. On March 3, 1991, Rodney King, a paroled felon from Los Angeles, led officers on a high speed chase throughout Los Angeles County. Eventually, King stopped for the officers and surrendered. With that being said, the United States federal Earned Income Tax Credit or Earned Income Credit (EITC or EIC) is a refundable taxcredit for low to moderate income individuals and couples particularly those with children (IRS, 2013). • 11. Computer Fraud And Identity Theft Abstract In today s world where computers, cellular phones, wireless internet connections and electronic transactions are common place norms, maintaining ones identity can be a challenge. In 2012 the United States population was 314.1 million people, in the same year, 75.6 percent of households reported having a computer. (Government Census, 2012) With this high population and electronic use, one could extrapolate that there is high risk for computer fraud and identity theft. For example consider these statistics in 2013, identity theft complaints accounted for 14% of all complaints. The most common form of reported identity theft was government documents/benefits fraud, 34%, followed by credit card fraud, 17%, phone or utilities fraud, 14%, and bank fraud, 8%. Forty one percent of identity theft complainants reported whether they contacted law enforcement. Of those victims, 74% notified a police department and 61% indicated a report was taken. (Government Census, 2012) There are many ways to counter identity theft, some being not to give out personal data or to make sure to properly destroy/secure all important documentation. These methods of protection seem quite feasible and often time practical, however with the rate at which identity theft occurs the validity of these protections might come into question. Therefore this research proposal begs the questions of how effective are these counter measures, to what degree are the counter measures followed by the victims, and ... • 13. Douglas Hofstadter s Le Ton Beau De Marot While many forms of writing are absolutely difficult to translate, as shown by Douglas Hofstadter s analysis of a French poem by ClГ©ment Marot in Le Ton Beau de Marot, song lyrics would arguably require the most effort. In addition to the basic semantic translation required of any text in order to preserve meaning, translated songs would need to maintain a similar rhythm in both a musical and a more syntactic sense as the original in order to convey a similar tone. This task means that many songs could be considered somewhat untranslatable, since in many cases, such prosody could not be perfectly recaptured in a translation. One songthat exemplifies this difficulty is Down and Out by the band The Academy Is. The first half of the piece in particular builds a vague narrative, which is told using rhyme schemes, the subversion of common English sayings, and rhythmic repetition of certain phrases for emphasis. For example, the second verse contains the lyrics out of the house, she grabs the keys, runs for the hills and doesn t leave a letter. That way the impact will be much better. First of all, the somewhat simplistic rhyming of the words letter and better serves to illustrate the impact that the narrator is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 14. Theme Of Beauty And The Beast By Angela Carter Angela Carter, an English writer, is best known for her feminist rewriting of classical fairy tales. In her stories she prominently uses themes, such as, virginity, the pornographic image, violence and sex, and many others. Degrading someone to the status of a mere object, in other words objectification, is a theme Angela Carter shows in many of her fairy tales, specifically the objectification of women. According to Carter, the objectification and subjugation of women is part of a latent context of fairy tales that she expressed simply by virtue of being a woman. Both The Tiger s Bride and The Courtship of Mr. Lyon are fairy tales intertextually linked with Beauty and the Beast and show the reader Carters views on femininity. Not only does Carter use the theme of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Her objectification continues until the end of the story. She says, The six of us, mounts and riders both could boast amongst us not one soul, either, since all the best religions in the world state categorically that not beasts nor women were equipped with the flimsy, insubstantial things .... (Carter, 44), contending that men see women as soulless, just as they see animals soulless. She feels that the men who claim to possess souls consider her as nothing more than an item of physical worth and that is why she calls them flimsy and insubstantial . When the heroine says that she is no longer resembles the soubrette, she begins to claim her own desires, meaning that she can no longer submit to society s female stereotypes. She declares, I will dress her in my own clothes, wind her up, send her back to perform the part of my father s daughter. (Carter, 46). Through the symbol of the soubrette, Carter shows the reader that this view of women weakens the character and prevents her from fulfilling her potential. Thus, The Tiger s Bride , the heroine must accept the animal in nature in herself and in the Beast, in order to be free of the human world ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The main reason why hitting the patella tendon results in muscle contraction is so that the muscle is protected from unwanted harm such as being yanked vigorously or hyper extended. The muscle group that contracts in this reflex is the quadriceps muscles, so when a muscle spindle is stretched an impulse is instantly sent to the human s spinal cord and a rapid response to contract the specific muscle is admitted. Throughout history Alexander the Great has been remembered for being a superb military commander. Alexander always led his Army from the front, forming the point of the spearhead to engage the enemy. Even as a cultural sensitivity to mental illness is cultivated in schools and workplaces, the court remains a skeptical harbinger of judgement to the mentally ill, more often handing down punishment when treatment is needed than excusing a guilty man of his crime. Controversy surrounding the morality of the insanity defenseis heavy, posing significant questions that can shape the future relationship between insanityand the justice system in the United States. • 32. Describe The Importance Of The Colosseum The Colosseum Koch, Matt Do you know what one of the most important structures to mankind history is? The Colosseum. The importance of the Colosseum, otherwise known originally as the Flavian Amphitheatre, was that many of the materials, styles, and architecture were inspiring to many architects and designers constructing today s modern facilities and structures. The emperor of Rome at the time, Vespasian, began building the Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre) in 72 AD. They believed that in ancient Rome the patron was more noble and loyal than the architects, and the architects were just craftsmen and hired hands (Woog, 2014). So as of today the designers and architects are unknown to the world, and will probably never be found out about because if limited evidence. Floor plans, 3 dimensional scale models, perspective drawings, and full size design sketches are what were used by the anonymous architects and designers of the Colosseum (Hopkins, 2011). The site of construction was formerly known as the Golden House, owned and lived in by Nero the Emperor. This was drained and as a precaution against potential earthquake damage concrete foundations six metres deep were put down to support it (Cartwright, 2012). And eight long years of hard work and design later the Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre) was completed in 80 CE. There were many materials mixed in the project of constructing the Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre). The walls of the Colosseum were built with stone. They made use of a number of arches in order to keep the weight down, but yet still keep them strong (Cartwright, 2012). The floor of the Colosseum was wooden and usually covered in sand most of the time. But the floor was taken out due to heavy weathering in 1674 AD. And about 19 miles outside of Rome in a little town of Tivoli were quarries where the Romans mined there stone blocks out of to construct the walls of the Colosseum. Some other material they had used to construct the colosseum include, limestone brick, concrete and volcanic stone (otherwise known as tufa ), pumice stone. Biurny Peguero s case is a perfect example. A woman named Biurny Peguero decided to frame a man named William McCaffery, who was a construction worker at the time. Peguero told law enforcement that she was sexually assaulted by three men, only mentioning McCaffery. She utilized the bite marks on her body that she received from a night out with her girl friends to claim that McCaffery caused them. After the night out, she asked the three men to give her a ride back to her friends. McCaffery and the other two men did just that, without touching her. She received the bite marks from her friends, because when she returned to her friends, all of them broke out in a ridiculous brawl. Edicio Martinez of CBS News wrote that, But upon the returning of her friends the argument that began in the Umbrella Lounge escalated into a full fledged fight. The women punched and bit at each other and when she asked why she was so upset and if those boys raped you, she simply agreed, to try and explain her behavior (Martinez). • 36. Banning Guns On Campuses And Universities Crime seems to be at an all time high in current times. I feel that this is due to so many people carrying guns. The safety of all people should be the focus of our society now. One area we really need to not allow firearms on campuses. This is only one area to focus on. There are several reason why allowing guns on colleges campuses and universities could be dangerous to people. First, gun violence seems to lead to an escalation of violent crime. The percentage of students that could be robbed on their way to class increases . Campuses that do not have metal detectors to screen the students are at risk for violent crime. Some students could be carrying guns without legally obtaining methods to carry them. New Orleans campuses have not had the violence that has taken place at other campuses. It could take place and since bullets have no name on them, anyone could be the victim. When students leave class late at night there is a risk that they could be involved and even killed over little things as their tennis shoes, clothes, or money. The violence is getting worst around the world. All fifty states allow citizens to carry concealed weapons they meet certain requirements ... only nineteen states has ban carrying a concealed weapon on college campus...and Louisiana is one of them. Violence on any campus should not be tolerated as it puts the faculty, staff and students in danger. Additionally, there are students who could snap when someone makes them angry. Students ... Alexander, Cliges, and Erec all have beautiful maidens; Enide, Soredamors, and Fenice. The women have been described to be the most beautiful and virtuous maidens of the land, all having gorgeous faces with the most perfect features. These men have never laid their eyes on something more beautiful until they met their loves, whom nature created so finely. Chretien de Troyes does a great job on describing the beauty and features of each individual. These three couples have a lot in common, and Chretien knows how to write them. Fenice was so beautiful that nature was never able to make her like again. She was so beautiful,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Alexander described Soredamors as fair and full of charm, so dear and precious. Her well shaped nose and radiant face, and her laughing mouth which God shaped with great skill. Soredamors neck beneath her hair was so fair it was four times as white as ivory. Alexander saw her bosom exposed and whiter than snow. There is so much to say about every part of Soredamors that it will not be strange if he passed over anything. She had lovely hair, extremely straight and perfect parting of her hair and eyes. Her hair, parting, forehead, and eyes were so beautiful they were nevertheless describable. That is not the case when it comes to her nose, cheek and mouth. Mouth s are described as a direct connection to God s and Nature s creation. Soredamors states that it is not without significance she is called by the name. She is destined to love and be loved in return and intends to prove it by her name. The first part of Soredamors name is in significance of golden color, for she believes golden is the best. The end of her name calls love to mind, for whoever calls her by her right name always refreshes her with love. Soredamors has the meaning of one gilded over with love. If his beauty allures my eyes, and my eyes listen to the call, shall I say that I love him just for that? • 40. The Evolution and Importance of Reconnaissance Satellites... After the U 2 incident of 1960, more emphasis was placed on safer methods of acquiring reconnaissance imagery. The first photographic reconnaissance satellite program was the codenamed Discovery. These first satellites could see objects as small as 35 40 feet and once they ejected their film capsule, the satellites were forced to reenter and burn up in the atmosphere. The latest declassified satelliteis from the late 1970s and can focus on objects as small as 5.5 inches. Instead of using a film canister, the KH 11 series of satellites uses a digital sensor and communications satellites. CORONA, the codename for program for the first generations of satellites, allowed the United States to have relatively recent imagery of any place on the globe. From 1960 to 1972, some form of the CORONA system was in orbit. In 1962, the fourth generation was given the name KH 4 (Key Hole, like looking through to see), and the previous generations were retroactively given the preceding numbers. KH 1 through KH 4B flew 144 missions, returning usable film 102 times. The retrieval method was one that we would call unorthodox today, but without a way to transmit the data easily back to earth a different system would need to be developed. After the several thousand foot roll of film was shot, it was ejected from the satellite in a reentry vehicle. The capsule would reenter the atmosphere and deploy a parachute. This would then ideally be caught by a special plane. If the plane was unable to recover the capsule, a military ship was waiting to retrieve it. The next generation of satellites would start to bring the military and intelligence community the high quality imagery it desired. This series was codenamed GAMBIT. The first, KH 7 was essentially the same as CORONA, but with a better a camera. It featured the same single capsule ejection/recovery system. The great leap forward was when an improved version of this camera was paired with a new satellite design. The KH 8 featured two or three return capsules, solar panels, and more fuel. This allowed these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If there is, for example, a farmhouse, a barn, and a tool shed that all sit within one large fence, the barn and the tool shed are considered part of the dwelling even though they are not used as living quarters and, if a defendant breaks and enters into the barn or the tool shed with the intent of committing a felony, he can be convicted of burglary. In such cases, one party s breaking and entering into the other party s living space at night with the intent of committing a felony will constitute burglary. Many jurisdictions have also eliminated the element of dwelling from the burglary definition and consider burglary the entering onto any premises with the intent to commit a felony therein. As we have said, the breaking and entering must be done at night in order to qualify as burglary. However, the breaking and entering do not have to be done on the same night. That is to say, the defendant can create the opening in the dwelling on one night and then use that opening to gain entry on another night. Please remember, however, that, as we said before, there must be a causal relationship between the breaking and entering so that, even though the breaking and entering can occur on different nights, the breaking must be the means that the defendant uses to gain access to the dwelling.
