1. To make my digipak promotion poster, I
have taken this image from Google
images and made it a separate layer from
the background layer. I then went to
IMAGE>> ADJUSTMENTS>> LEVELS to
make the white background of the image
grey so that it would blend in with the
first layer.
To do this, under the output levels, I
dragged the white slider closer to the
middle and the black slider to where it
needed to be so that the background
turned the right shade of grey.
I then selected the eraser tool to erase
the watermark on the image. I changed
the eraser size so that I could easily get
rid of the watermark without erasing the
parts of the image that I needed.

2. I needed to make a link between the
digipak front cover and the digipak
promotion poster so I opened up my
digipak front cover on photoshop and
selected layer 3 first, right clicked and
selected the ‘duplicate layer’ option
and changed the destination to my
digipak promotion poster so that it
would be duplicated there.
I did the same with layer 4 so that the
image of the tree would have the
same appearance on the digipak
promotion poster.
I decided to duplicate the werewolf as
well because I had the idea to place
the wolf kneeling upon the woman’s
hand, implying he is kneeling down
and surrendering to Red Riding Hood
as shown in our music video.

3. I placed the tree above the wolf and Red Riding Hood because it links back to
where the fairy tale is originally based.

4. I then added text to state what the song was called and who that band is with two
lines of lyrics vaguely explaining the nature of the artistic decisions made within the
digipak promotion picture. I have removed the dark red silhouetted tree because I
felt there needs to be more emphasis on the text rather than the image because I
think a brighter red suited the colour scheme better and I thought the brighter
colours should be focused on the text.
