2. Front Cover Through Adobe Photoshop,
Photoshop
I cropped the image to her torso in order to
dispose of the shorts as it unsuitable for my
genre, Hip-Hop and R’n’B.
I also dimmed the shine on
the face and enhanced the
smooth look effect by using
the blur tool.
I coloured her lips in so that it would enhance her features and stand out. From
magazine research most music magazines have red on the front cover, and so
by incorporating red into the lips I allowed this idea to be used despite my front
cover being predominantly blue and black.
3. Contents Page
I wanted to change the lighting and exposure of this
image as I saw potential in the image being coloured
differently and creating a better effect.
This image is a medium close up,
taken from a side on angle. The
reason for this is so that the
earphones are noticeable because
its associates with the music
magazine.
I clicked on the fX button, and chose
the Bevel & Emboss button where
I intensified the depth and
smoothness to 40%. I then decided
to increase the Brightness to 90
and decreased the Contrast to -26
for an even look. I then clicked on to
Levels and manipulated the image
through changing the Input to 52
and the output to 288.
4. I took this picture side on also to show structure in my magazine and also providing a bit of mystery to there
real identity. The girls are looking ahead and are standing behind on another so that there shoulders overlap.
The colours in this picture are really interesting to me and I wanted to enhance them, so I edited them in
Photoshop , where I edited the Hue and Saturation capacity. I then manipulated the Shadows and
Highlights to a high level which strengthened the effect giving it an R’n’B polished look. I then captioned the
girls as ‘Tri’nity’ almost as if they were a real girl band.
5. Main Article
This image is also taken from a side on
position. It displays the ‘Kwirky Prince’ I
describe him as in my article, which is
further portrayed by the patterns on his
jumper, his bold hair and defining ear
piercings. His facial features are very
clear which all contribute to a
professional looking artist. I decided that
I did not want to edit much about the
image as it had many suitable features.
Therefore I simply edited the background
by intensifying the focal point and
brightened it in colour.
6. Front Cover (Flash)
I used this image as a flash on my front
page. I chose this image because it is
simple and doesn’t detract from the main image
but also looks professional. The background is a
simple white wall however with flash looks like a
white screen and so I kept this. I also liked the
material of the jumper in image and so wanted to
keep this the same. I edited the background
slightly with the filter mask which boosted up to
100%
