- 2. Front cover My main image on the front cover will be made up of a female artist holding some sort of a instrumental prop such as a microphone or guitar etc. This will create intrigue for the reader and also further shows the style of music through the use of props. The artist on the front will also be wearing clothes that portray the music type. She will be wearing darker clothing with a tomboyish undertone as this promotes the music type. All of these factors add to creating a target audience form the magazine as well as increasing the selling qualities of it. As well as the main image additional features to the front cover, such as the font, sub images and colour schemes will further add to the rock style of the magazine.
- 3. Contents Page On my contents page I will go for an even darker image style. This will have a more grunge feel to it, compared to the indie rock feel of the front cover. This helps to show the variation of genres within the magazine. The contrast of the two also creates a new feel to the magazine creating intrigue for the reader and making them want to read on, rather than continuing with the same style throughout. The change in style not only creates variation, but also portrays the music type. It would be pointless to have a bright, light image for say a heavy metal style section of the magazine. In my image I will aim to have a secluded individual, giving an isolated feel to the magazine. This promotes the style of music in the magazine as it has more of an edgy feel to it
- 4. Double page spread My double page spread image will link back to the front cover with the same style and model being used in both. This link of the images helps to display continuation throughout the magazine. This draws readers in on what they want to read about, as the front cover will catch many of the readers eyes we can assume they will be hoping for further reading on the topic shown on the front cover. The image will be positioned to one side with blank open space to the right. This adds to the open isolated feel of the magazine.
