The document analyzes photographs used and not used in a school-based magazine. It describes using front cover images of happy students in a classroom to show school environment. An interior image of a focused working student was chosen to demonstrate hard work and good learning resources. Another action shot of a concentrated student was selected to indicate eagerness to work. Close-up images showing neat student work were included to inspire parents with what their children could achieve. Blurry and empty images were not chosen as the blurry one looked unorganized and the empty one lacked productivity.

2. Intro
• In this presentation like I said in my previous
post, I will be analysing the pictures that I had
used in my school based magazine and why, I
will also be talking about the images that I had
not used and why.

3. This is the main front cover image, I used
this image due to the fact it shows two
school girls who look happy, this therefore
makes the parents, who are my targeted
audience see that the children who are at
the school are happy. I also made sure that
the school logo was showing to emphasise
that these girls are at school; also I have
deliberately place the two models in a
classroom to show a little what the school
looks like and maybe to reflect the
eagerness of the students.

4. I used this image for one of the many
pictures on my contents page. I chose this
image due to the fact it shows a student
working and an action shot is needed for
the purpose of showing parents that the
students are always hard working and
good equipment is provided for the
students to work. The placement of my
image is in a work area not a
classroom, this shows that students are
hard working out of the classroom and
used their time wisely in this school. The
image doesn’t have a lot going on inside it
which makes it easy and not confusing for
the parents to look at, its simple yet
effective in showing a student working
hard in school.

5. This is another image that I had used in my
contents page, the main reason why I used
this image is that its another action shot of a
student doing work, which once again shows
eagerness of a student. Also as you may notice
I have the student not looking at the
camera, the main reason for this is that in
order for the student to look eager, they need
to be concentrating on their work, this shows
parents that children are eager to work. Also a
lot of the image contains the work they are
doing which shows the work load that children
work with and shows how knuckling down and
hard work is the main focus in this school.

6. These two images are others that I had used in my contents page; the main
reason why I had used these images is that it’s fully concentrated on the
work and the creativeness of the students close up, this gives parents ideas
of what their child could produce, and the neatness of the work makes them
feel their child could do the same if they came to this school.

7. The reason why I didn’t use this image
was due to the fact that it doesn’t show
the student very well, the student is
moving which had caused that part of
the image to become blurry which
makes it looks cheap and
unorganized, this will then reflect on
the school and will make parents think
less of it.

8. I didn’t use this image because it looks
too empty, although the work is well
placed and neat, it doesn’t show very
much productivity, which is something
that parents would like to see in a
school, in order for this images to have
been successful, it would have had to
have more going on in it, too much
extra space is not good in an image for
a magazine.
