Finland is a world leader in cleantech due to developing efficient energy solutions and alternative energy sources to deal with its harsh climate without fossil fuels. While Finland has faced environmental problems in the past like water pollution, long-term public-private collaboration has succeeded in protecting nature and building expertise in solving such issues.
