Peru is located in western South America, bordered by Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile. Some of Peru's top tourist sites include Machu Picchu, the ancient Inca citadel high in the Andes mountains, the mysterious Nazca Lines geoglyphs etched into the southern desert, and the Circuito Magico del Agua park in Lima with its fountains and sculptures. Peru can be divided into three geographical areas - the coastal region, the Andean highlands or Sierra, and the eastern jungle region known as the Selva.
