2. LOCATION
Rio de Janeiro is located on

The 1st of January
1502, Portuguese
navigators sighted
the Bay of
Guanabara.
Believing it was the
mouth of a large
river, called Rio de
Janeiro (River of
January).

4. CARNIBAL OF SAMBA
For over 30 years, the Parade of
Samba Schools was made ​

7. MARACANA STADIUM
Built to be the world's
largest stadium, got it for
