Many countries have events in history that they are not so proud of. To me,
making amends is all about whether they take responsibility and recognized that
what happened was wrong and do not allow history to repeat itself. In regards to

Unitrak s installation and implementation. Among them:
Failure of MSCC to take care of personnel. Kovecki was not as skilled as he could
have been, he was the only person within the MSCC who knew the Unitrak system.
On top of that, he was the only person who could keep it running and bringing in
money to MSCC. Management should have taken more interest in Kovecki s desire
to run the computer operations. If they had, MSCC management would never have

Third, training for a marathon should not solely involve running. To be a successful
runner, take a couple leaves out of the books of the elites. Pick up a foam roller
and a stretching band from your local running store, learn how to use them, and use
them repeatedly. Ideally you stretch comprehensively after every run and also do a

Name...
The concept of silence and the right to public speech has always been aborted in
different ways depending on the culture. American and Chinese culture differ in their
interpretation of what is acceptable or not in terms of behaviours in their respective
societies. Regarding silence, American women are much more encouraged to state
their opinion than Chinese women. With that idea in mind, Maxine Hong Kingston
shares her aunt s story and hers in No Name Woman, a nonfiction piece recalling the
author s personal experiences and reflections on traditional Chinese family. Silence is
present in many ways and has different purposes all throughout the story. In No
Name Woman, silence is used as a way to control behaviour.
The mother s emphasis on keeping this story a secret demonstrates how the aunt is
being punished for her impregnation. The story starts with a warning not to tell
anyone, setting an atmosphere of shameful secret even before learning about the
aunt s story. Punishing someone is a form of control over the individual being
punished, usually a way of diminishing a certain behavior by adding a negative
stimulus. By committing a spite suicide, the aunt tries to punish her family by
ruining their drinking water. Her choice of manner and location for the suicide has
an important signification in Chinese culture: The Chinese are always very
frightened of the drowned ones, whose weeping ghost [...] waits silently by the
water to pull down a substitute (464). This passage shows how the family silence is
their way of protecting themselves from the aunt s ghost by continuing to punish
her, not only for her impregnation but also for her suicide. Her revenge was well
chosen as her final attempt at preserving some sense of control over her faith. Given
that the aunt didn t get to have a proper funeral and offends, her punishment
continues after her death and remains as long as her existence falls into oblivion. As
the daughter later understands, the aunt remains forever hungry, since the family s

On July 16, 2010, audiences across the world traveled to nearby theaters to watch the
unique, original film Inception. The film Inception was like no other, depicting a
dream like world where the city folded upon while the shadows of darkness cast over

audience primarily of adults 18 years and up who belong to the middle to upper
class. On the cover of the poster, all the cast members are displayed in nice attire
fitted for those who are quite wealthy. Also, the environment the characters are
placed in appear to be in an upkept area filled with modern looking buildings
associated with areas that have money. Now looking at the poster, most of the cast
is represented by young adults all of whom range from their early 20 s to late 30 s.
While the cast is primarily white, two of the characters on the poster are different
race, one being Asian and the other African American so the film is not only targeted

I wasn t interested in books when I was very young, except for an interest in comic
books. Maybe that s because I was never really read to consistently. My mother
claims to have read to me some when I was younger, but I don t remember it.

Through the brightly colored images I could visualize myself flying through the
sky like Superman; I even had dreams about flying that way and was convinced I
actually could during part of my childhood I just could never seem to manage it
while I was awake. And I could so easily see myself in a poodle skirt and matching

The words there told me little. I didn t really care what they were actually talking

Part of the reason I didn t enjoy my early years in school was that I was an average
student who made terrible marks in penmanship, something they graded students on
back then as if fine motor skills, or more to the point the lack of them were a sign of
your place on the scale between true intelligence and dull existence. By the second
grade I consistently made D s on my report card in handwriting, which prompted my
mother, who had beautiful penmanship, to force me to sit for hours practicing my
