Mother Teres The Spiritual Leader
Mother Teresa the spiritual leader was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on August 26, 1910, in the
city of Skopje. From her childhood, it was vibrant that she was haggard to serving the
underprivileged and needy. Her mother, sincerely pious and dedicated to assisting and supporting
others, frequently took Agnes with her when she distributed food and clothing to the unfortunate
and deprived. These practices, united with her holy learning, headed her to adopt, to become a nun

When a Christian reacts and have faith in the announcement of God instigation or vocation in the
Church, they state to it a call. On September 10, 1946, while travelling to Darjeeling, Sister Teresa
received what she designated a call within a call (Mother). She sensed God communicating to her
and communicating to her to leave the nunnery and serve the poor while living amid them. It was
Almighty s instruction. She pleased to the Catholic establishments and communicated them what
she desired to do. It procured two years for her appeal to be approved. In 1948, she started her
effort as Mother Teresa, in Calcutta. She left the instruction of the Sisters of Loreto and began what
developed, in 1950, her own command, the Missionaries of Charity. Parting behind the tradition of
the Sisters of Loreto, she embraced the dress she and all the followers would attire, a white sari,
finished of stiff cloth and bordered in blue, with a cross on the shoulder.

Lawrence Vs Texas Essay
In United States Landmark decision, Lawrence v. Texas, what was the syllogism used by the
majority that is the major premise, the minor premise, and the conclusion of the Court? The
Supreme Court Justices agreed on the major premise that, Liberty presumes an autonomy of self
that includes freedom of thought, belief, expression, and certain intimate conduct. The instant case
involves liberty of the person both in its spatial and more transcendent dimensions. Liberty as
defined by the court is taken or supposed to be true because it consists of the First Amendment
rights of freedom of thought, belief, expression ,but the court also included certain intimate
conduct as a liberty. The court is correct that certain intimate conduct is a liberty. Because of the
courts major premise the court came to the minor premise that, It suffices for us to acknowledge
that adults may choose to enter upon this relationship in the confines of their homes and their own
private lives and still retain their dignity as free persons. However, certain intimate conduct is a
liberty for one to do when it is legal according to the Laws of... Show more content on

Atoms And Covalent Bonds
Covalent bonding starts when atoms are sharing pairs of electrons. Atoms will covalently bond with
other atoms to get more stability, which they get by forming a full electron shell. By sharing their
outer most valence electrons, atoms fill up their outer electron shell and get stability. Nonmetals
will form covalent bonds with other nonmetals in order to gain stability. They also can form
anywhere between one to three covalent bonds with other nonmetals depending on how many
valence electrons they have. Covalent bonds are the strongest type of chemical bond. When two or
more atoms have similar electronegativity, conditions are suitable for covalent bonding. Covalent
bonds are the strongest type of chemical bond. Electronegativity increases toward the right of the
periodic table and decreases down the table. Electronegativity is not an atomic property, but is there
when atoms interact with each other.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Metals and metallic atoms have loose electrons that can be taken away easily. In a molten metal, the
metallic bond is still there, but the ordered structure has been broken. The metallic bond isn t all the
broken until the metal boils. The boiling point is actually a better guide to the strength of the
metallic bond than melting point is. When melting, the bond is loose, not broken.
Ionic bonding is a type of chemical bond formed between two ions with opposite charges. Ionic
bonds are formed between a metal and a non metal. Non metals are stronger than metal and can get
electrons easily from the metal. These ions attract each other and create an ionic bond. Ionic bonds
are also known as electrovalent bonds. Ionic bonds form their bond when opposite charged ions in a
chemical compound have an electrostatic attraction. Even thought Ionic bonds still hold molecules
together, they are weaker than covalent

The High Rates Of Childhood Asthma

gym class at school. He s had prior hospitalizations due to his asthma. He lives in a housing
development with ongoing problems with roaches and rodents. He walks to school, which is near

population based approach to increase childhood vaccination in Washington. Here is a case study
followed by a series of questions to help you do just that (justify program, root cause analysis,
identify community values/policy, financial/funding implications, personal leadership style).
Dr. Davidson in Seattle encounters more and more parents who are hesitant about vaccinating their
infant children. Rather than dismissing them from her practice, she uses counseling techniques
/steps provided by AAP. She is sometimes successful with this approach, but it does no always
work. There was a recent pertussis outbreak in WA state, but # of parents refusing vaccines keeps
growing. Dr. Davidson plans to bring up this issue at the next WA State AAP chapter meeting. She
thinks that it is imperative that pediatricians, schools and the public health community work
together to develop a comprehensive strategy to address vaccine hesitancy. The confusing array of
vaccine related information from media and internet sources, where misinformation becomes
intertwined with reliable science based information, is a challenge for parents to

Bullying has become a serious problem and students should know how to act and not be

Schools,Not Parents by Shaw explains that parents are not responsible for their kids and school is
for their act and behavior. Parents are always repsponsiboe for their kids. I disagree with Shaw s
opinion that schoolis responsible for the students because the parents are the one who is. Parents
are the ones who are responsible for their children. The reason I think parents are responsible is
that parents raised you how to act and the school didn t. When you get suspended at school they call

Why Harry Truman Dropped the Bomb on Hiroshima, and the...
On August 6th 1945, the United States, led by Harry Truman, decided to drop the atomic bomb on
Hiroshima, Japan, forever changing warfare. This paper will be dedicated to why Harry Truman
decided to use the atomic bomb on Japan and the effects that this decision had on humanity
afterward. The creation of the atomic bomb, and subsequently the Manhattan Project, was created
in response to the belief that the German Government was in the process of creating atomic
weapons. This belief was expressed to President Roosevelt in a letter written to him by Albert
Einstein, who introduce Roosevelt to the ability of atomic weapons and shared with him that the
German Government had stop selling the crucial ingredient of uranium from their recently... Show

This attitude was only compounded when United States Government were informed of the
treatment of American prisoners of war after the Battle of Bataan in the Philippines, which
resulted in the Bataan Death March in April 1942. The Bataan Death March was a 65 mile
march in which American and Filipino prisoners of war were gathered into groups of 100 and
forced to march North towards Camp O Donnell. The prisoners were given little food or water
during the march, which led to starvation and extreme fatigue for many of the soldiers. On
occasion, soldiers would break formation to try and drink stagnant water of the sides of the
road, after having their canteens emptied by the Japanese. These actions resulted in being
bayoneted or shot. Other actions by the Japanese were dragging prisoners behind trucks, making
the prisoners sit in the sun for hours without shade, and random executions . This brutal
treatment of these prisoners resulted in over 5,000 deaths and has been labeled as one of the
worst atrocities in modern wartime history. These events led the United States to have an attitude
of revenge for the rest of the war, which played a factor in the decision to use the atomic bomb on
Japan, which Truman made evident by stating, The Japanese began the war from the air at Pearl
Harbor. They have been repaid many fold. Revenge was only part of the equation for the decision
to use atomic weapons in

Ignatian Religion Paper
The Examen, a bi daily routine for the Jesuits, connects the priests with their subconscious and
conscious minds, as well as with God. Saint Ignatius, the founder of the Jesuits or Society of
Jesus, created this daily examination of prayerful reflection. Much like the Act of Contrition said
before confession by the lines of content, the Examen helps one better understand themselves. In
the Jesuit order, the reflective prayer is said twice a day, which splits the day into three periods
or parts. This prayer, said once in the morning and later in the evening, the prayer focusing not
only on one s faults but on what one did correctly or improved upon, venerating hard work.
Because this prayer was created by Ignatius himself, it reflects essential values of the original
Jesuits. Although the prayer helps one receive and perceive God, it s... Show more content on

Disadvantages Of Sexual Harassment
Think about having to be forced or coerced to demeaning and misappropriate conduct day in and
out because you fear losing your job or being demoted to a less desirable position. Focus on how
many victims of sexual harassment underwent calling out sick so that they would not have to be
manipulated into doing acts that were degrading and immoral with someone they believed they
could trust, like their supervisor. Moreover, walking into an atmosphere where work is not fun, but
stressful and causes you much anguish and dissatisfaction, only because you are having to undergo
much discomfort and shameful acts. Further, think about the thought of walking into your office
everyday in anxiety and fear because you need your job and want your job. However, but you did
not ask for the unwelcome sexual gestures, inappropriate touching, pressure to perform certain
unlawful duties or be given stipulations such as do as you are told and instructed or be terminated.
All the more, this is what many of the past case victims were accustomed to and subjected to each
day while in the workplace. Consequently, this is what many victims of sexual harassmentendure
each day because they are too afraid to stand up and say anything to anyone because of fear of not
being believed, afraid of losing their jobs, or generally because they were not sure what could be
done.
Even before sexual harassment and retaliation become widely known terms it was very much
present and prevalent in many organizations.

Migrant farm workers come to Canada to give themselves a better work opportunity and they
believe that will get the same rights as a Canadian. Globalization has allowed many of these migrant

international human rights have allowed these migrant workers to come to work, but these workers

They are alienated as outsiders of Canadian citizenship because they are not a citizen or a member
of the Canadian community, but they do not realize it is just an illusion that has been shown to
them. This also means that these migrant workers are not part of the Canadian society and are
excluded for any rights that a citizen of Canada would have. Gabriel and MacDonald (2014)
acknowledges that Canada s immigration view on migrant worker is referred to as precarious status,
which means programs like SWAP use this status for many of the migrant farm workers because
they cannot be a permanent resident, have the lack of rights and entitlements, and cannot bring any
family to Canada. Due to globalization, there has been a citizenship gap that has been created which
allows certain individuals to have the right to have claims, entitlement and status. This is not
universal because again, migrant farm workers are alienated and excluded from this right. When
looking at the struggles of migrant farm workers face for citizenship rights and human rights, there
is correlation that these struggles are use against them to help Canada secure rights of agricultural

Write An Essay On Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol was born on August 6, 1928 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (Brown, 2015). When he
was at the age of 8 he contracted Chorea, a disease that causes involuntary, unpredictable body
movements, so Warhol was confined to bed. During his recovery he was taught to draw by his
mother (Brown, 2015). He developed a love for drawing, and he started to draw in his spare time.
As soon as he got healthy he decided to take up photography. He went on to graduate high school
and enroll in Carnegie Institute of Technology where he studied commercial art (Brown, 2015).
Warhol later became a leading figure in the 1950s visual art movement known as pop art. In 1961
Warhol revealed the concept of pop art (Brown, 2015). He showcased an art piece that focused
on mass produced commercial goods. It was an art form that no one had ever seen before. People

Exercise Can Reduce Stress And Improve Someone s Over All...
Exercise helps to reduce stress and improve someone s over all moods. According to Otto and
Smits (2011) exercise can be as powerful as antidepressant medications in treating depression, and,
more broadly, regular exercise is linked with decreased anxiety, stress, and hostility (p. 7). There are
several reasons how exercisereduces stress. By exercising daily we allow our bodies to adapt to
different demands and stressors, because exercise is a stressor. A good way to understand this
is to think of exercise as the preparation time before a big test, the more you study the better the
result will be when you finish that test. Therefore, the more you exercise the better prepared
your body will be to handle an added stressor such as a big project that is due for work. Another
way exercise reduces stress is due to neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that all for
communication between brain cells. Exercise reduces levels of the body s stress hormones,
such as adrenaline and cortisol. It also stimulates the production of endorphins, chemicals in the
brain that are the body s natural painkillers and mood elevators. Endorphins are responsible for the
feelings of relaxation and optimism (Exercise to Relax, 2011). When an employee is less, they will
be able to think clearly and focus on the tasks they need to complete for the day. By having an on
site exercise program employees will be able to exercise on their lunch break or come in early in
order to de stress and be focused for

Comparing Chopin s The Interlopers And Story Of An Hour
When you go to compare and contrast, the first items you look for would probably be the
obvious, such as the plot. The Interlopers and Story of an Hour (Saki and Kate Chopin,
respectively) are not easily comparable in their plot, settings or subjects; however, the devices and
some main parts are the same. There are situational ironies in both. In The Interlopers, they are
fighting with each other and you expect one to die, then the story twists, and they become friends.
Then the story twists again, and the ending makes it seem like they both die. No, said Ulrich with
a laugh, the idiotic chattering laugh of a man unstrung with hideous fear. Who are they? asked
Georg quickly, straining his eyes to see what the other would gladly not have seen. Wolves. 1

2 In this, we also see that there is death in both stories. There is a tree or trees in both, but it is a
bigger part of the story in The Interlopers. In The Interlopers, a tree falls during a storm and
pinions the two main characters to the ground. A fierce shriek of the storm had been answered
by a splitting crash over their heads, and ere they could leap aside, a mass of falling beech tree
had thundered down on them. 3 This causes them to become friends, but also causes their deaths.
In Story of an Hour, the main character observes the trees through the window, but not much else
is said about them. Both stories mention families, although family is most important in Story of
an Hour. In Story of an Hour, the main character s family comes to comfort her, after her husbands
tragic supposed death. She lets them console her, but then she doesn t want them near, and runs to
her room to have some time to herself. She wept at once, with sudden, wild abandonment, in her
sister s arms. When the storm of grief had spent itself she went away to her room alone. She would
have no one follow her.

The Mysterious Plot Of Neil Graves s Death In Kingsport
The novel, Death in Kingsport, has an interesting, yet mysterious plot. I selected this novel
because it is my first time reading a book in this particular style. Prior to reading this novel, I knew
that the book was about a boy who investigated his uncle s mysterious death. As the book begins,
Neil Graves, the main character, is at his Uncle s funeral paying his respects, when suddenly, he
hears noises coming from the coffin. This key event then sparks his investigation. This noveltakes
place in a small town called Kingsport, during the year of 1941. The story is written with Neil s
point of view, meaning that his thoughts and experiences are expressed to the reader. This novel
seems to have good content and rather relatable characters, which makes it pleasurable to read....

In the episode, The Pitch, the character called George sums up the shows premise in one sentence,
Everybody s doing something, we ll do nothing. All the sitcoms around this time, such as the Fresh

Photoreceptor Fatigue Lab Report
In this experiment, the effect of age on the speed of photoreceptor fatigue was tested. This was
tested by producing an afterimage in people of various ages to find when they became fatigued to
the color green. This result showed that people that were older often had their photoreceptors
fatigue faster and have their afterimage last longer. This may be connected to the fact that the
amount of cells atrophy with age. Further test may be needed to tell what causes the sudden
increase in fatigue at an older age.

hits the retina in the back of the eye. On the retina are two types of light absorbing cells. These two
types are rods and cones cells. Cone cells are used for color vision while rods are used to see in
black and white. The cone cells can pick up 3 basic colors; red, green, and blue. When they pick
up light, photosensitive chemicals in the outer part of a cell release a electrical charge, allowing the
brain to precieve the light as color. They use different groupings of these colors ... Show more

The brighter and longer you take in the stimuli the longer it takes for it to readjust. An example
of this is the psychologist Kenneth Craig. After staring at the sun for two minutes he caused
damage to the retina. The photoreceptor cells were damaged beyond repair and gave him the
view of a orange/black sun whether his eyes were open or closed. With age it become apparent that
many parts of the body become weaker, and the eyes are no exception. Around the age of 40 is
when the eyes begin to fail. Along with basic things like peripheral vision, your color vision fades.
The cells become less sensitive to the colors it receives. Colors become less vibrant and less

Theory Of Skyline Queries
Many attempts have been made towards developing optimized algorithms and introduction of
several models for skyline queries. Skyline queries had been studied as the maximum vectors
before Borzsony and colleagues [23] introduced skyline queries for database applications. Various
algorithms are provided for skyline computations, including calculation of the progressive skyline
using auxiliary structures, the nearest neighbor algorithm for processing the skyline query, the
branch and bound skyline (BBS) algorithm, the sort filter skyline (SFS) algorithm that exploits pre
arranged lists, and linear erase sorting (LESS) algorithm for the skyline. Recently, there has been a
growing interest in addressing the problem of large dimensions for... Show more content on

In [28], it is shown that the proposed method is not correct. Sharifzadeh and colleagues [29] have
proposed another version of the method that eliminates the flaws of the previous version, but it is
computationally costly. Other methods for calculating skyline have been suggested as well. A
multi objective optimized process for skyline has been presented based on the genetic algorithm by
Г–zyer et al. [30]. Fuzzy skyline has been proposed to make the skyline more flexible. In
particular, fuzzy skyline in [31] is considered and a flexible overcome relation is provided. This
relationship makes it possible to extend skyline with points that are not highly dominated by any
other points (even if they are strongly dominated). Yet, other methods arise to improve the
skyline. A variety of fuzzy skyline methods are studied in [32]. In the paper, five incentives are
raised to fuzzify the skyline. The first motivation is to refine the skyline with the introduction of a
sequence of points to find the best skyline points. The second is to make the skyline more flexible.
This means that where points conditions are close to the skyline points, they are also considered as
members of the skyline. In the third case, the skyline can become easier with different methods. For

The Use of Hedonistic, Playful Youth Based Photography in...
A single word can group together all (or at least a large majority) of today s youth, that word is
Hedonist.
Hedonist (noun): a person whose life is devoted to the pursuit of pleasure and self gratification.
In a world where young people are only living for themselves, the corporations and brands are
booming. Having expensive clothes, the newest phone and an overpriced cocktail in your hand on a
weeknight has never been so important. This is the essence of youth, going to parties to show off
your brand new purchases, buying a whole new wardrobe for your one week holiday to Ibiza.
Major fashion brands have caught on to this and youth culture has began to feature heavily in
campaigns.

If you buy these things, you could live like these people; they re selling an idea just as much as
they are trying to sell the garments in said campaigns.
Another photographer who s work particularly focuses on youth culture is Danielle Levitt, a New
York based photographer who s work reflects American youth culture. She has shot for brand s like
Penguin and Diesel as well as having a very full portfolio of youth culture based photography that
has been featured in magazines like Hero and Rollacoaster. Her work for Penguin is quite similar
to Elaine Constantine except maybe more commercial. All the shots are posed unlike Elaine
Constantine s who s tend to look more natural but the notion is the same, lots of very attractive
people spending time together in bars or by the docks which is where this campaign is based; but
her work for Diesel Reboot is worlds apart. Images of different types of subcultures in their
bedrooms were something very fresh and interesting in the way of youth culture; it showed a
completely genuine account of how young adults/teenagers live their lives and it s a huge contrast
to other brand s campaigns trying to appeal to youth audiences.
Taking both of these photographers work into account and looking

Comparing Dulce Et Decorum Est And Futility
Living through inhospitable experiences conveys the lingering mental deterioration of an individual
s humanity. Wilfred Owen conveys such notions in his poems Dulce et Decorum est and Futility ,
which detail his own perspective upon the Great War by underlining the emotional and physical
exhaustion caused to the soldiers. Dulce et decorum estfocuses on the grotesque horrors of war, as
well the ever declining human nature. Futility however details the uselessness of war and questions
the pointless meaning of life. Through the use of metaphors, and other poetic techniques, both the
poems have conveyed the antiwar themes and as a result, dictates a thorough insight of the
consequences of war.
Owen s 1917 Dulce et decorum est provides insight by a result of personal experience, the physical
distress of a marine through distinct poetic techniques which represents the horrendous ideals of
war through chronicled events. The sight of soldiers coughing like hags portrays the physical

Facebook’s Non-Compliance with Canadian Privacy Laws
The world of privacy has changed, and Canada s laws need to keep up. Personal information has
been called the oil of the digital economy and as companies drill for more data, the risk to
privacy are growing exponentially. After an investigation conducted in 2009 prompted by a
complaint filed from the Canadian Policy and Public Interest Clinic, the Office of the Privacy
Commissioner has concluded that Facebook s current practices of third party applications do not
comply with Canadian Privacy Laws. The Commissioner s concerns include inadequate disclosure
to users about what is being disclosed, lack of consent, and lack of control over personal
information with third party developers. With these findings, the Commissioner has proposed
several recommendations for Facebook to take on, however the company has refused to comply. In
this paper I will argue that the Office of Privacy Commission requires stronger enforcement powers
in ordering Facebook to change its third party application practices in order to effectively protect
consumers personal information. We live in a regulatory state. The idea of the regulatory state is
that a new institutional and policy style has emerged, in which governments role as regulator
advances while its role as a direct employer or property owner may decline through privatization
Consumers are currently protected under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic
Documents Act dealing with the personal information under the private

The Importance Of Rain Forests
A rain forest is an area of thriving forest where the rainfall exceeds 1000 millimetre a year.
Rainforests are commonly found in a tropical climate rainforests can be found in mild climates.
Forests are precious and vital to the Earth s survival (Oxfordreference.com, 2017). Forests are
important as they re providers of food, home to many animal and carbon sinks.
A major carbon sink is the photosynthesis in plants. As photosynthesis is the production of sugar by
using carbon dioxide and sunlight. Photosynthesis takes place in the earth s forests, oceans, lakes
and rivers. When oceans absorb carbon dioxide it stays on the ocean surface. It can then be re
evaporated to the atmosphere. Carbon Dioxide is taken out of circulation for hundreds and
thousands of years. As for example a solubility pump. Which is when carbon dioxide slowly
makes its way to the ocean depths. A similar process is called the biological pump in which
carbon is transferred to the bottom of the oceans after the death of marina life. (Black and Weisel,
2010)
However despite the importance forests are in danger. This is called Deforestation is a loss of
forest area, such as rainforests, due to natural and human means. The former forest area is then
used for growing crops, grazing for animals or human expansion for more buildings. While
deforestation is a danger to animals and plants due to lowering the biodiversity it is also dangerous
for the planet. As by removing the trees, the trees can no longer

For a job of this nature it is pretty logical for a selection committee to go for aptitude or ability as
factors for selection rather than skills or knowledge. It is because aptitude indicates how
competent a person is to perform a particular task whereas achievement test measures the depth
of skills or knowledge a person learned in a particular area. In this particular case where the job
requires a complete new combination of know how, testing the competence of a person on
handling tasks of that particular combination is rational. For a job that does not exist, testing the
depth of skill or knowledge of a new combination of tasks will not bring any result. The depth of
knowledge for this particular job will be developed by on the job or of the job training. That is
why selection committee at Ovania Chemical did not include any skills or knowledge in the

Symptoms And Treatment Of A Miracle Drug
TUESDAY This Tuesday is entirely different from the time I was born. Rather than passing by
without much happening, this Tuesday starts the beginning stages of recovery. This Tuesday is
the hangover as the result of Monday s poor decisions. As the day passes, you begin to feel
better, but it s a long, bumpy road ahead of you. On a Tuesday there is a long wait until the much
desired Friday and Saturday, but it s an inevitable step in the right direction. I am twenty one and
it is Tuesday. The depression pills did not work as I had hoped they would. There is no such thing
as a miracle drug. After a month I refused to take them any longer. I felt like my pills were
controlling my life so I was also weaned off the bloodpressure medicine treating my migraines. I
only remained on the two medications I absolutely needed: Synthroid for my Hashimoto s
disease and omeprazole for my acid reflux. I felt like I was beginning to take back control of my
life. For some, this probably seems like a minute, irrelevant change in a world of chaos. But for
those who are forced to live by their medications, especially at such a young age, this is a very
large step in regaining freedom. I no longer feel as though my doctors, doctor s appointments,
medications, and medical testing control my life. Another step toward full recovery has been
finding new meaning in my life since many of the old ones disappeared after high school. Without
sports, I had to find something else to consume my time. Both

Informative Speech On Pumpkin Baking
Baking is an art that may seem simple, but is actually fairly complex. I m not talking about
buying a box of Betty Crocker cake mix, adding some eggs, water, and vegetable oil, and sticking
it in the oven. I m talking about real, from scratch, tastes like your grandmother made it baking.
Baking is a very precise form of cooking. It is important to measure every ingredient carefully and
pay close attention to the steps in the recipe. That being said, bakingdoes not have to be boring.
Once you grasp the basics of baking, you will be able to make any recipe your own. It actually
becomes a quite addicting hobby. It may be messier and more difficult than just buying that cake

too large with just the dry ingredients in it, but this bowl will eventually hold the finished batter,

Sub Prime Mortgage Crisis What Caused It ? How Can US Recover From It?
The recent financial crisis in the U.S. that spread to other countries and caused massive turndown in
the global economy had its roots in the recent waves of globalisation. Since the developed countries
production had shifted dramatically towards services, specially to financial services, and this in turn
led to financial liberalizations, developed countries experienced massive capital inflows, lending

Besides, the AAA ratings of most structured securities also lured foreign investors to the security
market, raising the demand for the structured products (E,Benemlelich.J,Dlugosz.2008). The
volume of trade in securities increased, which further strengthened a bubble in housing prices by
creating cheap credit. According to S P/Case Shiller Home Price Indices, in 2005 the price of the
house where gone up about 100 % compare to 2000.
At the same time, the rise in the demand for securitized products changed the function of the banks;
their key activity became to originate loans, package them, and sell them to investors. As a result,
lending standards fell dramatically and banks relaxed regulatory standards, which increased loan
approvals. Also, mortgage brokers began providing discounted mortgages, no documentation
mortgages and NINJA (No income, No job, No assets) loans. The background checking became
unnecessary because the price of the houses were just increasing, and the originating banks were
able to pass the loans to less risk averse investors (E,Benemlelich. J,Dlugosz.2008).
The credit bubble started to create such an environment. This bubble refers to trading an assets

Theme Of Prejudice In 12 Angry Men
Back in 1957 MGM released a film directed by Sidney Lumet that is considered a masterpiece
today same as it was back then. There is a very good reason for that, this film has aged very well.
It deals with the same topics we have to deal with in today s society. Today it seems people are
just as divided as they were in the 50 s. That is what 12 Angry Men does so well, it handles the
topic of prejudice. How does it show this? 12 Angry Men shows us different jurors with different
prejudices that are revealed through their attitudes, beliefs, and words.
It is easy to spot prejudice through attitude because of the way they act around or talking about
the person or a community they have a prejudice about. Prejudice is an unjustified or incorrect
attitude (usually negative) towards an individual based solely on the individual s membership of a
social group (McLeod 1). In the film almost, everyone is ready to sentence an eighteen year old
boy to death for murder. Most do this just because of the evidence, but jurors three and ten have
different attitudes about the situation. Juror three has a different attitude because of his son and the
relationship he created there. He abused his son and now he has left him, the guilt he has is more
than apparent through his anger. Juror ten also shows anger and it is not apparent as to why until
later when he starts speaking.
The beliefs of the individual characters can say a lot about them because it reinforces their
prejudices. Juror ten

Why Germany Lost the First World War
Why Germany lost the First World War
The First World War ended with the triple entente as victorious (with help from the Americans).
Some reasons to why the allies won the war were because of; Germany had to fight a war on two
fronts, the unstable political situation in Germany, the allied naval blockade, German economy,
failure of the schlieffen plan, interception of the Zimmerman telegram, the German naval blockade
on Britain (sinking of American ships), development of the tank and anti submarine weapons, the
advancement of new technology that required new tactics.

This led to trench warfare. The Germans were not prepared to do this type of war, they did not
have the resources to do this due to the british naval blockade. Concerning the Schleiffen plan there
were a few severe miscalculations that led to gargantuan problems, the Germans had miscalculated
the amount of soldiers, supplies and communication that required to be transported across the
country from east to west and back. This miscalculation was not expected due to Germany thinking
that Russia would be slow to mobilize and thereby give Germany time to first beat the French then
later turn all their forces towards the east to face Russia.
Weak Allies
Germany had chosen her allies badly, they had allied themselves to the decaying Austrian Empire,
Ottoman Empire and Italy. Germany had chosen badly when relying on Italy to help out in the war
since as soon as war was declared Italy pulled out of the alliance. Also Germany had to constantly
assist the Austrian Empire in protecting their own territory. This led to problems as this exhausted
troops that would and should have been sent to fight the war in the trenches. Germany also sent
supplies that should have been sent to the soldiers fighting on the front line. If Germany had
stronger and more reliable allies then the outcome of the war would have been different.

Hamadryas Baboons Essay
The complex world of primates revolves around a spectrum of different behaviors and physical
features that can be intertwined with their evolutionary history and current ecosystem. Two species
of baboons that share a common ancestor dating back twenty million years ago are Papio
hamadryas and Theropithecus gelada (Falk, 173). More commonly called as hamadryas baboons
and geladas, they are known to share many characteristics because of this common lineage. In fact,
they are categorized under the same order of classification, down to the same subfamily of
primates, known as cercopithecidae. Despite sharing a common subfamily, these two speciesof
baboons manage to encompass divergent qualities in response to their environment.
Evolution has played a monumental role in regards to the similarities and differences between

The Great Wave Off Kanagawa Japanese Masterpiece
The Great Wave off Kanagawa; a Japanese Masterpiece
Almost instantaneously recognizable, The Great Wave off Kanagawa (woodblock, 10 1/8 x 14
15/16 in, c. 1830 32), created by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai in 1830, beautifully captures
the graceful, swelling movement of a crashing tsunami. Because of the way in which line and
proportion are utilized, this woodblock print gracefully portrays the sheer power of the ocean.
Derived from the Edo period in nineteenth century Japan, this classic was the first of a series of
works from Hokusai titled Thirty six views of Mount Fuji, all of which effortlessly depict the
mountain in a wide array of angles and scenery. Arguably, The Great Wave off Kanagawais the
most iconic and cherished piece of Japanese artwork in the world. Even more importantly,
Hokusai is considered prominent father figure for both Japanese art, as well as Western
modernization as a whole. The Great Wave truly displays how tiny and weak man is compared to
the force of nature. Not only is The Great Wave a quintessential piece of art, but it established a
piece in the comprehensive networks of art, trade, and politics, that has instilled a tremendous
positive impact on the twenty first century. Created solely from the vivid imagination of Hokusai,
the primary compositional focus of this simple, but deceptively dynamic print, is the massive deep

Shakespeare Was A Playwright That Emphasized Tragedy, Love
Shakespeare was a playwright that emphasized tragedy, love and deceit. Similarities between
Shakespeare and Sigmund Freud s theories are profoundly similar. Much of Freud s theories are
based upon repressed memories, the unconscious mind and psycho sexual stages of development.
These theories remain controversial from first introduction of his ideologies to current time,
(Mitchell, Black, 2016). Freud, much like Shakespeare, was not afraid to shy away from taboo
subjects and tragic endings. Shakespeare demonstrates several examples ranging from Freud s
various defense mechanisms such as the unconscious transference of certain feelings, attitudes or
impulses from their subconscious onto another individual, or the projection of their... Show more

(Mitchell, 2016) The id level of basic human personality holds forbidden and hedonistic thoughts
and desires. The superego is a level within our personality, according to Freud that is present
within us from within the first five years of life. The superego is on the absolute opposite end of
the spectrum from the id. The superego holds the personality s morals and conscience, keeping
the individual from conducting any immoral act. It provides us with feelings of guilt and pride,
keeping us continually wanting to maintain a high level of morality. However, the superego is
unrealistic without balance. It is highly critical and ethical and is derived from parental morals
during the informative years of learning between right and wrong. (Mitchell, 2016) During Act

Brutus, I do observe you now of late, I have not from your eyes that gentleness and show of love

that instinctual drives will force human behavior, (Held, Lisa,2009). Cassius s desire to get rid of
Caesar had been the driving force in his manipulative intentions towards Brutus. Brutus self reflects

Teenagers and Antidepressants In recent discussions of antidepressant pills a controversial issue
has been whether doctors should prescribe antidepressants to teenagers. Antidepressant pills are
prescribed to
individuals who suffer from a condition called Major Depression Disorder, labeled MDD for
abbreviation. Major Depressive Disorder is a mental disorder characterized by a pervasive and
persistent low mood that is accompanied by low self esteem and by loss of interest or pleasure in
normally enjoyable activities. The objectives of antidepressant pills are to stabilize, and
normalize the abnormal low levels of brain chemicals for those who suffer from MDD. On the
other hand, some argue that antidepressants are harmful and do a disadvantage to teenagers,
therefore should not be prescribed to them. However, others argue that the pills are not harmful
and in some cases the strong need of antidepressants outweigh the risks the pills might provide.
Antidepressants prevent teenagers from recuperating on their own and prevents them from
learning how to cope with conflicts thus, they should not be prescribed.
Depression results in symptoms such as sadness, it affects a person s emotions and leads
to both emotional and physical problems. The antidepressant pills are meant to help the brain
recuperate and adjust to normality. The reason why people reconsider taking the pills in the first
place is

Cultural Issues In Salt Lake
Living in Salt Lake we are culturally diverse. There is a lot of people from many different parts
of the world and with those backgrounds we as people do things different and have a different
set of standards we live by. With this in mind people tend to do things that in their mind they don

compliance. Living in a city with as much cultural diversity as Salt Lake does, there is bound to be
restaurants that pop up with those influences. In one article it stated that a Middle Eastern
establishment was shut down due to 47 violations creating an imminent health hazard . With these

The Biased Media and Its Effects on American Interest...
The Biased Media and Its Effects on American Interest Towards Politics In America we value the
freedom of the press. The press is the one place where most Americans go to get educated on
issues facing their community, state, and most of all nation. Everyone knows that the media
plays a major role in Americans lives; however their role of gatekeeper is not completely
understood. The press decides which issues to report and how to report them. In order to improve
the nation and world, the media should present their unbiased findings to allow people to make up
their own minds. However, this is not the case. The media often shows its bias. Their widespread

I think that many Americans do not even know their Senators or House Representatives name.
On the other hand, it would be very difficult to find someone who does not know anything about
the recent presidential election. Everyone knows about the Florida ballot disputes only because
the media has placed so much emphasis on them. There is so much media coverage in politics
today that in order to be elected one must be appealing to the public. Years ago the only way
people could find out about candidates and the issues they stood for was by reading a
newspaper or listening to the radio. Today, anyone can turn on the television or go to a web site
on the Internet and see the candidates themselves talking about their issues. With almost all
American homes having at least one television, a candidate must possess a good personality,
plans and ideas. Now, more than ever Americans place excessive importance on appearance. This
means that a candidate has to appear successfully, competent and inspire confidence. When was
the last time a president was elected based on appearances? It was probably in the 1800 s with
the election of Abe Lincoln. History shows what a great president he was. It sounds very
superficial, but unfortunately this is true of our society. Candidates have to appeal to the public as
much as possible, and appear comfortable on camera. However a candidate s appearance is not the
only thing that plays a major role in getting them elected. In 1984,

Essay On Macbeth s Loyalty To A Green Heart
Illustrated with a green heart, you can see Macbeth s first aspect of his character being loyalty.
In the beginning of the play, Macbeth tells how he feels about king Duncan by stating that the
service and the loyalty I owe in doing it pays itself (Act 1, scene 4). Macbeth most certainly had a
heart and loads of compassion to the ones he was close to. At the start, he may have even been the
only person to express such loyalty to the king. Just like fresh grown trees, Macbethstill had that
clean mindset and that goodness in his heart. Therefore coming into the play, Macbeth is introduced
as a green, healthy heart.
Consequently, Macbeth s ambition for power turned him into a greedy man which is shown as
a yellow crown. Wanting even more, Macbeth says the Prince of Cumberland! That is a step On
which I must fall down, or else o erleap, For in my way it lies (Act 1, scene 4, lines 55 57). After
all that Macbeth has gone through, he only had the crown in mind now. He was made Prince of
Cumberland by the king that he showed his loyalty to. But at this point of the play, the crown was
the only thing for him. The power of a king was more than anything. Greedy Macbeth falls into this
trap, and now the green fades to yellow. This mello unsatisfying color is what Macbeth turns ...

long time friend was just an obstacle to get over, so that he could keep on striving for the power
that was more important than his close ones. Red is that perfect reflection of how crazy and just
evil Macbeth has become. Macbeth is that red dagger that kills those in his

Arranged Marriages And Love Marriages

Arranged Marriage:
In the broadest sense, marriages have been divided into two general categories; arranged
marriages and love marriages. As the name implies, an arranged marriage is defined as a marriage
where the bride and groom are exclusively selected by a third party (usually their parents), while in
a love marriage, people choose their marital partners based on their feelings or attraction for one
another. In America and Western Europe, marriages based on love, have dominated their
cultures for a long time and, as a result, when it comes to arranged marriages, most American s
first reaction would be: Oh! This kind of marriage is so relentless and incredible, because we
have no voice. However, times are changing, and so is the attitude toward marriage. America is a
melting pot, which means it is a multicultural society, and there are so many immigrants from other
countries in America. Due to international migration, both arranged marriages and love marriages
have co existed in peace and affected each other. Although some argue that arranged couples don t
have a choice in choosing their life partner, we can t deny the benefits of arranged marriages, as it
can help them obtain full and complete support from their families, better understand each other
and provide a high possibility for a successful and happy marriage.
First of all, an arranged marriage can help the bride and the groom gain the acceptance and support

My Interest In Soccer
My interest in soccer as a child began when I was knocked down by a soccer ball at the age of
eleven. Ever since that day I started following my dad to watch him play soccer with his friends.
He was the talk of many of his friends, because of his talent and skills behind the ball. I began to
develop the interest for soccer without realizing it, some few months after, I decided to join the
school soccer team. I remember working very hard every evening after school, just to prepare
myself for the school teams try out. Eventually my hard work paid off. I was selected as part of
the starting eleven for the first soccer game. I remember vividly, seeing my number one fan my
dad, cheering me on from the sideline. My dad gave so much of his time to see my dream come
true and I was so appreciative to have such a caring parent. Playing soccer was one of the best
moment in my life. So, I decided to put my all in the game of soccer, practice after practice made
me perfect in the field of soccer, I developed my own skills and it helped since I was working
very hard on the pitch. I always had that feeling that when it came to soccer I was the best no
matter what. This feeling started when I realized that no matter how hard my team mates trained,
they still could not match up with me. All was well with my soccer career until my seventh year in
school when we had to playagainst a neighboring school. Being the best the player on my team, it
came with a lot of responsibilities,

I Am the Master of my Fate
The world is full of obstacles and pressures. For a college student like me though, these pressures
can seem impossible to survive, the trick lies in the ability to overcome them. I cannot make
college pressures disappear, but what I can do is make financially savvy decisions, prioritizing
what I invest my time in, and keep myself motivated ultimately taking charge of my life. William
Zinsser, in the article CollegePressures (1979), explains that college students face four major
pressures in college, but suffer the most from the shackles they place themselves in limiting their
ability to make mistakes or explore new ideas. Zinsser supports his explanation by illustrating the

Especially after my 21st birthday I have found it is easier to get off task and invest my time in
non productive things than even. What I have had to train myself to do is not necessarily go
over everything for my class, but spend time on what matters, homework. Darshanand Ramdass,
and Barry J. Zimmerman wrote Developing Self Regulation Skills: The Important Role of
Homework in which they conduct a study to see if homework really benefits a student, they
found that college levels showed a positive relationship between homework and a range of self
regulation skills, implying that homework facilities the development of self regulation skills
and enhances learning (215). My teachers were right homework does help. With or without my
organized schedule a quick drink with friends will always be tempting, but the discipline to stick
to my color coded planner will help me get my work done. If everything in my life as a college
student were perfect my last pressure, my motivation, or lack there of, could ruin it all. Staying
motivated to complete my degree and maintaining a positive outlook in life is my greatest pressure
yet, and to overcome this I given myself little tasks starting big and ending small. To stay on track I
actively set goals for myself, envisioning what the future can hold when I transfer, and ultimately

Mate Selection
Mate selection is an evolutionary process in which selection is dependent on the attractiveness of
an individual s phenotypic trait, such as age and sex. For example, women feel that reliability,
dominance, wealth and generosity are important in a mate, while men believe attractiveness and
creativity are important. Women investment more time in searching for a mate because women
are, typically, responsible for birthing and raising a child and need a mate that would protect her
and their offspring and provide for them. Men, on the other hand, do not invest much in mate
selection. When resources are scarce, women seek resources in their mate and man look for
attractiveness. However, the goal is to locate the best possible mate. Age differences

  • 4. Lawrence Vs Texas Essay In United States Landmark decision, Lawrence v. Texas, what was the syllogism used by the majority that is the major premise, the minor premise, and the conclusion of the Court? The Supreme Court Justices agreed on the major premise that, Liberty presumes an autonomy of self that includes freedom of thought, belief, expression, and certain intimate conduct. The instant case involves liberty of the person both in its spatial and more transcendent dimensions. Liberty as defined by the court is taken or supposed to be true because it consists of the First Amendment rights of freedom of thought, belief, expression ,but the court also included certain intimate conduct as a liberty. The court is correct that certain intimate conduct is a liberty. Because of the courts major premise the court came to the minor premise that, It suffices for us to acknowledge that adults may choose to enter upon this relationship in the confines of their homes and their own private lives and still retain their dignity as free persons. However, certain intimate conduct is a liberty for one to do when it is legal according to the Laws of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Atoms And Covalent Bonds Covalent bonding starts when atoms are sharing pairs of electrons. Atoms will covalently bond with other atoms to get more stability, which they get by forming a full electron shell. By sharing their outer most valence electrons, atoms fill up their outer electron shell and get stability. Nonmetals will form covalent bonds with other nonmetals in order to gain stability. They also can form anywhere between one to three covalent bonds with other nonmetals depending on how many valence electrons they have. Covalent bonds are the strongest type of chemical bond. When two or more atoms have similar electronegativity, conditions are suitable for covalent bonding. Covalent bonds are the strongest type of chemical bond. Electronegativity increases toward the right of the periodic table and decreases down the table. Electronegativity is not an atomic property, but is there when atoms interact with each other.... In a molten metal, the metallic bond is still there, but the ordered structure has been broken. The metallic bond isn t all the broken until the metal boils. The boiling point is actually a better guide to the strength of the metallic bond than melting point is. When melting, the bond is loose, not broken. Ionic bonding is a type of chemical bond formed between two ions with opposite charges. Ionic bonds are formed between a metal and a non metal. Non metals are stronger than metal and can get electrons easily from the metal. These ions attract each other and create an ionic bond. Ionic bonds are also known as electrovalent bonds. Ionic bonds form their bond when opposite charged ions in a chemical compound have an electrostatic attraction. Here is a case study followed by a series of questions to help you do just that (justify program, root cause analysis, identify community values/policy, financial/funding implications, personal leadership style). Dr. Davidson in Seattle encounters more and more parents who are hesitant about vaccinating their infant children. Rather than dismissing them from her practice, she uses counseling techniques /steps provided by AAP. She is sometimes successful with this approach, but it does no always work. There was a recent pertussis outbreak in WA state, but # of parents refusing vaccines keeps growing. Dr. Davidson plans to bring up this issue at the next WA State AAP chapter meeting. She thinks that it is imperative that pediatricians, schools and the public health community work together to develop a comprehensive strategy to address vaccine hesitancy. On August 6th 1945, the United States, led by Harry Truman, decided to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, forever changing warfare. This paper will be dedicated to why Harry Truman decided to use the atomic bomb on Japan and the effects that this decision had on humanity afterward. The creation of the atomic bomb, and subsequently the Manhattan Project, was created in response to the belief that the German Government was in the process of creating atomic weapons. This attitude was only compounded when United States Government were informed of the treatment of American prisoners of war after the Battle of Bataan in the Philippines, which resulted in the Bataan Death March in April 1942. The Bataan Death March was a 65 mile march in which American and Filipino prisoners of war were gathered into groups of 100 and forced to march North towards Camp O Donnell. The prisoners were given little food or water during the march, which led to starvation and extreme fatigue for many of the soldiers. On occasion, soldiers would break formation to try and drink stagnant water of the sides of the road, after having their canteens emptied by the Japanese. These actions resulted in being bayoneted or shot. Other actions by the Japanese were dragging prisoners behind trucks, making the prisoners sit in the sun for hours without shade, and random executions . This brutal treatment of these prisoners resulted in over 5,000 deaths and has been labeled as one of the worst atrocities in modern wartime history. These events led the United States to have an attitude of revenge for the rest of the war, which played a factor in the decision to use the atomic bomb on Japan, which Truman made evident by stating, The Japanese began the war from the air at Pearl Harbor. They have been repaid many fold. Revenge was only part of the equation for the decision to use atomic weapons in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Exercise Can Reduce Stress And Improve Someone s Over All... Exercise helps to reduce stress and improve someone s over all moods. According to Otto and Smits (2011) exercise can be as powerful as antidepressant medications in treating depression, and, more broadly, regular exercise is linked with decreased anxiety, stress, and hostility (p. 7). There are several reasons how exercisereduces stress. By exercising daily we allow our bodies to adapt to different demands and stressors, because exercise is a stressor. A good way to understand this is to think of exercise as the preparation time before a big test, the more you study the better the result will be when you finish that test. Therefore, the more you exercise the better prepared your body will be to handle an added stressor such as a big project that is due for work. Another way exercise reduces stress is due to neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that all for communication between brain cells. Exercise reduces levels of the body s stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol. It also stimulates the production of endorphins, chemicals in the brain that are the body s natural painkillers and mood elevators. Endorphins are responsible for the feelings of relaxation and optimism (Exercise to Relax, 2011). There are situational ironies in both. In The Interlopers, they are fighting with each other and you expect one to die, then the story twists, and they become friends. Then the story twists again, and the ending makes it seem like they both die. No, said Ulrich with a laugh, the idiotic chattering laugh of a man unstrung with hideous fear. Seinfeld was a television sitcom that ran for about nine seasons hosted by NBC. It was unique in a couple of ways. One of, if not, the best way it was unique was its entire premise. This was tested by producing an afterimage in people of various ages to find when they became fatigued to the color green. This result showed that people that were older often had their photoreceptors fatigue faster and have their afterimage last longer. This may be connected to the fact that the amount of cells atrophy with age. Further test may be needed to tell what causes the sudden increase in fatigue at an older age. Introduction The eye is a very important organ because it allows us to not just see something, but to also see them in colors. Vision is created when light passes through the cornea, and reflected by lens until it hits the retina in the back of the eye. On the retina are two types of light absorbing cells. These two types are rods and cones cells. Cone cells are used for color vision while rods are used to see in black and white. The cone cells can pick up 3 basic colors; red, green, and blue. When they pick up light, photosensitive chemicals in the outer part of a cell release a electrical charge, allowing the brain to precieve the light as color. They use different groupings of these colors ... The first motivation is to refine the skyline with the introduction of a sequence of points to find the best skyline points. The second is to make the skyline more flexible. Rainforests are commonly found in a tropical climate rainforests can be found in mild climates. Forests are precious and vital to the Earth s survival (Oxfordreference.com, 2017). Forests are important as they re providers of food, home to many animal and carbon sinks. A major carbon sink is the photosynthesis in plants. As photosynthesis is the production of sugar by using carbon dioxide and sunlight. Photosynthesis takes place in the earth s forests, oceans, lakes and rivers. When oceans absorb carbon dioxide it stays on the ocean surface. It can then be re evaporated to the atmosphere. Carbon Dioxide is taken out of circulation for hundreds and thousands of years. For a job of this nature it is pretty logical for a selection committee to go for aptitude or ability as factors for selection rather than skills or knowledge. It is because aptitude indicates how competent a person is to perform a particular task whereas achievement test measures the depth of skills or knowledge a person learned in a particular area. In this particular case where the job requires a complete new combination of know how, testing the competence of a person on handling tasks of that particular combination is rational. According to S P/Case Shiller Home Price Indices, in 2005 the price of the house where gone up about 100 % compare to 2000. At the same time, the rise in the demand for securitized products changed the function of the banks; their key activity became to originate loans, package them, and sell them to investors. There is a very good reason for that, this film has aged very well. It deals with the same topics we have to deal with in today s society. Today it seems people are just as divided as they were in the 50 s. That is what 12 Angry Men does so well, it handles the topic of prejudice. How does it show this? 12 Angry Men shows us different jurors with different prejudices that are revealed through their attitudes, beliefs, and words. It is easy to spot prejudice through attitude because of the way they act around or talking about the person or a community they have a prejudice about. Prejudice is an unjustified or incorrect attitude (usually negative) towards an individual based solely on the individual s membership of a social group (McLeod 1). In the film almost, everyone is ready to sentence an eighteen year old boy to death for murder. Juror three has a different attitude because of his son and the relationship he created there. He abused his son and now he has left him, the guilt he has is more than apparent through his anger. Even more importantly, Hokusai is considered prominent father figure for both Japanese art, as well as Western modernization as a whole. Not only is The Great Wave a quintessential piece of art, but it established a piece in the comprehensive networks of art, trade, and politics, that has instilled a tremendous positive impact on the twenty first century.
