contains 54 premier rooms, 13 luxury tents, 2 luxury villa , 1 royal tent and 1 royal villa.
Job role:
• Room attendant
I have handled all types of room categories and I am usually chosen by the
management to handle the Royal villa or Royal tent to take care of any VIP
movement..
Apart from learning a room attendants role I have also learnt about –
• Lost and found handling
Proper storing and record keeping of all lost and found items
Timely disposal of lost and found alcohol and other items
• Equipments maintenance and repair
Routine rounds of all equipment pantries
Suggesting repair and maintenance as and when required
Calling the service technicians from outside routinely for the equipment checks
• Butler :
I have handled butler operations in the hotel which comprises of
o Daily replenishment and stock/inventory management of mini-bars/private
bars in all guest rooms,
o Handling guests and guests requests like packing /unpacking assistance,
o Laundry service for guests
o Suggesting different types of tea/coffee to guests
o Suggesting local sight seeing itineraries to guests
• Store handling
I have handled housekeeping store requirements namely
o Guest supplies store,
o Cleaning supplies store,
o Printing and stationary store and
o Food and beverage store
My task was to requisite stores on the appropriate store days and distributes it
according to requirements. This helped me is knowing the basics about budgeting
and in understanding to keep my departments costs within budgets.
• Night shift
I have handled the entire night shift of housekeeping in this hotel. In the night
shift the entire responsibility of housekeeping operations is on me. Six contractual
staff report to me and I have to assign them work and monitor their work.
• Housekeeping desk
I have handled housekeeping desk operations in the hotel which comprises of-
o Handling guest calls/requests
o Maintaining all registers and records
o Maintaining managerial reports
o Checking discrepancy
o Key handling and control
o Opera/PMS operations
o Checking and maintaining attendance and leave records
• Laundry

o Operating all machinery in laundry and dry cleaning area

 Maintaining guest history to keep record of guest needs to serve them exceeding
their expectation.
