INTRODUCTION

understand human emotions and have an urge to treat patients and their families in proper
manner. Being a care taker in one of the HSC organization, it is my utmost duty to provide best
of the health services to the patients in order to give them more of the satisfaction. Further, my
personal values and principles will influence the work contribution significantly in HSC
organization. Moreover, there exists different types of values namely personal, political, social,
economic, religious values, etc. It has been observed that with the help of positive response from
health care staff, the patients and their belongings are able to feel better while availing medical
services. My personal values means the dignity, courage, attitude of care, independence and
friendliness with patients for curing them in best and possible manner. With having excellent
creative skills, I can serve my patients in best of the possible manner. Further, cultural values
comprises ethnicity of people, tradition, regional and linguistic ties which generally helps HSC
in binding with sound hospital culture and patients will be treated in the best possible manner.

Trustworthiness and reliability are other two main sources of work effectiveness as if individuls
who are working HSC start trusting one another then they can significantly work with free of

duties I will not discriminate any patient in HSC according to his/her cast, creed, religion, gender
,etc.
Moreover, considering the proper comparison of personal and professional values on the
basis of principles and standards of health care and safety firms, it can be analysed that there
need to be proper balance between them in the firm. With the adequate use of human resources
in organizations, the management is able to build suitable business plan. Along with the proper
management of staff, it is possible to make the business operations smoother than before
regarding serving patients and industrial customers in health care centre. All the personal and
professional traits are assessed in proper manner so that the management is able to select a
candidate in HSC.
1.3 New developments in health and social care and also changes in personal value
This will help the management of HSC to provide patients better quality services and at
the same time can meet their organizational goals and objectives. The major personal values are
the decision making ability and also the team cooperation which constitutes doctors, nurses and
care takers. Moreover, as per the actual changes in management policies and advancement of

2.1 SWOT analysis required for seeking career in health and social care
The SWOT analysis is helpful for assessing current skills and ability set of medical
practitioner (Manley and McCormack, 2003). Lifelong learning is considered as a way of
learning personally from varied sources and techniques. I have conducted SWOT analysis of my
own and for developing it I have taken the help of my mentor, friends and family members.
SWOT analyses are as follows:
 My strengths are that I am dedicated towards my work and have keenness to learn new
and skillful things. Moreover, I have good and healthy familiar behavior with individuals.
 My weakness is that, I get tensed very easily and even I am quite short tempered.
 I have opportunities of learning new skills and also have a good job and healthy office
environment. In context to it, I am further focusing on extending my knowledge and
talent by continuing my further studies as a Human Resource student.

Further, acting as a HSC practitioner in this organization, there are some roles,

2.2 Holistic development plan for personal and professional development
Being a care taker in HSC, I have to acquire all the necessary skills, learning new things,
need to develop career, etc. further, these all skills are considered as a main part of personal and
professional development. Moreover, PDP plan is necessary for all the individuals no matter
whether, they are superior, employee or a student. Therefore, this plan plays a crucial role for me
also and this PDP plan can be of short term or long term.

computing, planning and organizing and decision making are included in my personal
development plan. Moreover, as a care worker in mentioned organization, IT knowledge helped
me to keep all the medical records in a digital format. I can easily find out information from
computer or any electronic devices in no time. Further, decision making is another important
aspect. For instance, if any weak client tell that he is not able to move and breathe properly and
also he doesn't even know what happened to him last night. Moreover, he only knows that he did
not take any food last night. In the mentioned situation I have to take quick, effective and
appropriate decision otherwise something can happen seriously anytime to that patient. In this

3.1 Different professional relationship in health and social care context
It has been observed that there are multiple issues which are related to the management of
the H&S during making of professional relationship among employees as well as with
management. Professional relationship is considered as a process where staff within
organization develops relationship with the individuals, users of service, workers and also with

promote the interest of service users. This states that I will treat each and every person as an
individual and will respect their privacy and promote their individual views and wishes for both
service users and carers. In addition to this, I will also focus on promoting the equal
opportunities, respect diversity and different cultures and values for service users and other
career who are working in the hospital organization. Further, I will attempt to establish and
maintain trust and confidence of service users and carers. It means that I will be honest,
trustworthy, communicate in an appropriate, open and accurate way with the colleagues and
clients. In addition, I will be reliable and dependent, honoring to service users and carers. Also, I
will be adhering to policies and procedures about accepting gifts and money from service users
and carers.
It has been the HR department in my H&S care home which reacts so that it can monitor
in better manner and can evaluate staff performance. This kind of action helps them to bring
suitable appreciation for each of the employees that are associated to the organization. In

various roles and responsibilities have influenced my performance in team and being in team I
tried to understand them deeply. There is a complete mixture of both emotional and professional

The major among them is working experience and knowledge of medical issues, staffing
conflicts and leadership has enhanced my potential for working in an efficient way. I have been
offered the roles and responsibilities of manager of medical teams, so during this I have
supported by assessing the staff issues and disputes that they have with the management. With
the help of the effective team work, there has been proper coordination, cooperation, leadership
and communications.
Furthermore, during the working partnership in health care home, it has been analyzed by
me that I have been involved in suggesting many team mates to be grouped and act as a team. It
has been understood that with the help of effective planning and control over medical health and
safety care, it is required for the most of the team members to perform efficiently. As per the
previous research, it has been noticed that with the help of better planning of working
partnership, there can be resolutions provided related to the staffing issues and disputes. With the
help of my communication practices, I have been involved in motivating staff and management
to act upon technological advancement.

could be doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapist's laboratory technicians and
pharmacists and many others. Employees are from different cultures and they have different
values too. Leadership has a great impact of team working because almost everything flows from
here. It is leader's fault if a team can not perform in proper way. Team members are not aware of
their roles and can not perform well which reduce the productivity of team work.
4.4 Limits in work role and its impact on work with others
Every individual has limitations of their roles and responsibility and these are generally
influenced by others. As a care management trainee in HSC organization, I have faced some
limitations too. For instance, I am not allowed to give any new medication to patient at any
condition. Further, in addition I work in a management position, I should not involve in care
work and I am not allowed to gather any kind of personal information from both colleagues and
clients (Bates, 2013). Failing in functioning any of the role then Colleagues may not trust and
respect. Also, employees may not listen to me and I can be frustrated. As a result, work outcome
can be reduced sharply in the health care organization.
