2. ORGANS IN PELVIC CAVITY
• Pelcic cavity includes
• Urinary Bladder
• Prostate in male
• Ovaries in female
• Cervix in female
• Testes in male
• Penis in male
• Colon and anus
• Distal end of large intestine
3. URINARY BLADDER
• It is located within the pelvis in back of
symphsis pubi.

Vaginal Artery supplies the Inferior Vesicular Artery
Posterioinferior portion of the Supplies the posterioinferior
Bladder. portion of the bladder.
4. RECTUM
• It begins superior to level of third sacral
vertebrae and extend from sigmoid colon to
puborectalis muscle.
• It consist of coverings of peritoneal and
flexures
5. ANAL CANAL
• It starts from puborectalis.
• Ends at anus.
• There is a transition from simple columnar
epithelium of the gut to stratified squamous
epithileum of the epidermis.
• Two sphincters
• Intenal involuntary
• External voluntary

Testes are primary sex organs. Ovaries are primary sex organs.
Vas deferns and Epididymis are formed Uterine Tubes and Uterus are derived
from the mesonephric ducts. from parmesonephric ducts.
7. OVARIES
• Almond shaped and oval bodies which
produce ova.
• Three ligaments of the ovary.
• Suspensory ligament
• Ligament of ovary
• Mesovarium
8. UTERUS
• They are antervertd (tipped anteriorly), pear
shaped muscular organ between bladder and
rectum.
• Uterus consist of
• Fundus
• Body
• Isthmus
• Cervix
9. UTERINE TUBES
• It consist of oviducts and there is no direct
connection to ovary.
• Oviducts open laterally into the peritoneal
cavity and medially into the uterus.
• It consist of
• Isthmus
• Ampulla
• Infundibulum
10. VAGINA
• It is formed from urogenital sinus
• Extend from cervix of uterus to the vestibule
of the vagina
• This organ passes through the urogenital
diaphragm and the pelvic diaphragm.
11. DUCTUS DEFRENS
• It conduct sperms from epididymis through
inguinal ligament to posterior surface of the
bladder.
• Seminal vesicles are present at posterior
surface of the bladder superior to prostate,
does not store sperm but contribute to
semen.
12. PROSTATE
• Largest accessory gland of the reproductive
system.
• The function of the prostate is to secrete a
slightly alkaline fluid which is milky or white in
appearance, which constitute 50-75 % of
volume of semen along with semen and
seminal vesicle fluid.
