PebblePad Literature Review

  1. I’m doing a quick introduction to a piece of work commissioned by PebbleLearning that identified all peer reviewed articles that involved PebblePad.

There is an assumption that employers will be keen to view an e-portfolio, but very little evidence in the literature that this is successful in practice and the impact an e-portfolio has on a potential employer. There is also a lack of literature that claims PebblePad can help students compile applications for jobs.
  6. NSS – although we seek student feedback, so far there is no evidence of Pebblepad being used to address some of the issues raised e.g. feedback/assessment
  7. Some minor surprises like the use of PebblePad to collect quantitative data for the accounting study. But also I wonder if the time for surveying student perceptions and reactions to the software is over. Has PebblePad moved beyond the stage where student perceptions need to be researched (of course student feedback will always need to be gathered and responded to) to a place where it is it naturally underpins learner centred approaches be they feminist pedagogy or social constructivism. So it’s over to you and can you help me add to the list either by sending me a link to any articles missing. Or finishing an article
