4. PAROTID DUCTS
Emerges from Anterior Border of Gland
Passes forward over lateral surface of masseter
The duct then pierces the buccinator, moving medially
It opens out into the oral cavity near the second upper molar

5. FIBROUS CAPSULE
• Parotid gland is enclosed in capsule (sheath) dense fibrous capsule.
• A portion of fascia extending from styloid process to angle of mandible is called
stylomastoid ligament; separates parotid gland from submandibular gland
