This document presents a generic 12-bus power system model for wind integration studies. The model aims to capture key power system dynamics like voltage control, frequency control, and electromechanical oscillations. It includes conventional power plants with controls, transmission lines, loads, and can represent different wind penetration scenarios up to 50%. A small-signal stability analysis was performed to select excitation system parameters that achieve a desired oscillation mode profile for the base case system. The model provides a test bed for studying various wind integration scenarios in a realistic yet computationally manageable power system model.
