All living things are composed of tiny living cells that carry out three life processes: nutrition, sensitivity, and reproduction. Cells have three main parts - the nucleus which controls the cell, the cytoplasm which is a liquid surrounding the nucleus containing organelles with different functions, and a membrane covering that surrounds the cell. Plant cells also have an additional cell wall covering.
