This study evaluates the effectiveness of the strain counterstrain (SCS) technique on quadratus lumborum trigger points in patients with low back pain (LBP). The experimental group receiving SCS along with moist heat showed significant reductions in pain intensity and improved functional outcomes compared to the control group receiving only moist heat, with a statistically significant mean difference of 3.75 in pain scores. The findings suggest that SCS is an effective treatment modality for this specific subgroup of LBP patients.
