Our solar system contains 8 planets that orbit our star, the Sun. The planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The Sun is over 4.6 billion years old and much larger than Earth. The Moon orbits Earth and has varying surface temperatures. Our solar system also contains asteroids, comets, and over 200 billion stars in our Milky Way Galaxy.
