Our health and lives are at stake due to environmental toxins in the air, water, and food from an unbalanced and unsustainable environment polluted by over-consumption and loss of natural resources. The growing threat of climate change means we must reassess our environmental impact and choices, as the earth is the only planet we have and future generations deserve to enjoy its beauty and resources. If humans do not begin caring for the environment by limiting consumption and protecting habitats and species, severe weather events and loss of potential cures will only increase while our resources dwindle.

The relationship between humanity and the environment is a delicate balance. Since the industrial revolution, the world's population has increased exponentially, and with the population growth, the environment has been profoundly affected. Deforestation, pollution and global climate changes are amongst the adverse effects the population and technological expansion has introduced. Included in this category are both subjects dealing with attempts to reduce the negative impact on the environment, and subjects which aim to gain a greater understanding of the environment itself.
By reading this PDF one can understand the concepts and components of sustainability and sustainable development. It also discuss about the visions and ethics of sustainability. Further, it talks about the vision and mission of Bruntland commission and its role in sustainable development goals.

Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.

2. • The more you don’t care
about our environment,
the more it will become
polluted with contaminants
and toxins that have a
harmful impact on our
health. Air pollution can
cause respiratory diseases
and cancer.
• diseases.
3. • Our natural environment becomes unbalanced and
unsustainable when it is polluted and stripped of its natural
resources by over-consumption. Our lives are at stake as we
find our health being affected by environmental toxins in the air,
water, and foods we consume. Our earth is a fragile planet with
limited resources. The growing threat of climatic changes means
everyone from individuals to businesses must reassess their
environmental impact and daily choices.
• Earth is the only planet we have, the only planet that has a life.
This means that when we destroy our mother Earth there will be
no extra planet in the outer space for us to live in.
4. • Imagine your children, or grandchildren, or even great-
grandchildren not being able to enjoy those very things
because the environment has been destroyed. If we don’t
care about the environment in our lifetime, there might be
nothing left for future generations to enjoy in their
lifetimes.
• Our Earth has a finite amount of non-renewable resources
like oil, natural gas, coal, nickel, iron, and copper. It is
okay to take this finite amount of non-renewable
resources but we must take discipline on taking it we must
have a limitation. Imagine when our non-renewable
resources is all gone, we will be poor
5. • Humans are responsible for the largest threat of
destruction for species and ecosystems. When we destroy
natural habitats, we destroy species’ biodiversity. Habitats
are being destroyed by humans to make room for
increasing population, and by pollution and climate change
which reduce biodiversity areas already struggling.
• Each species on Earth serves a special purpose in their
ecosystem and the planet as a whole. Protecting the
environment helps prevent the destruction of habitats and
species.
6. • We know that sometimes we need natural medicines to survive that what
we called herbal medicine. When it comes to destroying the rainforest,
we have started moving backward. If the rainforest is destroyed, we
would forever lose plant species that could potentially cure cancer,
blindness, or other diseases.
• Scientists have found a link between climate change and the increase in
severe weather events around the world. The more our climate changes
because of man-made pollution and destruction of habitats, the more
devastating tornadoes hit countries.
• Record rainfalls cause severe flooding, which destroys houses and
lives. Increases in ocean temperature leads to stronger and more
devastating hurricanes and cyclones. If humans as a species do not
begin to take care of the environment, severe weather events will only
happen more often, and cause more death and destruction.
7. • There is a finite amount of water available on Earth, and only a small
amount of it is fresh water. Man-made pollution from activities such
as mining and farming contaminates drinking water.
• When the environment becomes polluted, so does the world’s limited
supply of clean water.
• Caring for things other than yourself is a great way to build personal
character. Stewardship is the careful and responsible management of
something entrusted to one’s care, like the environment. When you
are a steward of the environment, you are protecting this precious
resource that supports all life, and showing great strength of
character.
