Prezi
         “The Zooming Presentation Editor”
Web-based presentation soft ware

Non-linear; uses a large, zoomable canvas instead of
slides

Great for showing fine details as well as the big picture

Import all types of media: images, video, PDF, etc.

Student example: http://bit.ly/Aolifs
Animoto
“Cinematic Artificial Intelligence”
Easy-to-use video creation site using photos, video clips
   and music

Great for vocabulary or book reports

Educators can apply for a free “Plus” account

   Student example: http://bit.ly/wwFT8J
YouTube/KeepVid/iMovie
      “Our Voiceover Machine”

KeepVid allows downloading of almost any YouTube
movie; useful to avoid streaming issues during
classtime

Used in conjunction, allowed Senior AP English
students to create awesome “voice-overs”

Student example: http://bit.ly/ysZJpT
Shutterfly
          “Creative Connection to Parents”
Way more than just a photo-sharing site! Upload
photos and videos to site; parents can download
copies and/or purchase print-outs, books, etc.

Great for keeping up class calendars, agendas,
spelling lists, volunteer schedules, reminders to
parents, journal entries, handouts, links to study
sites, blogs, etc.

Example: http://bit.ly/y0eOtZ
DropBox &
       DropItTo.Me
“Digital Homework Tray & More”
DropBox is secure, cloud-based storage; perfect if you
work on documents on more than one device

DropItToMe works in conjunction with DropBox; kids
submit their homework on the website and files are
automatically stored in a specific folder in your DropBox

Students need only the website address and a secure
“codeword” provided by you to send; no access by them
   EVER to your DropBox
Quizlet
   “Digital Flash Cards and More”
Fun, free way to study languages, vocab, etc. in 18
languages

Kids can play educational games, study on mobile
devices, create their own flashcards and even share
them with friends

Example: http://quizlet.com/
Zondle
              “Games to Support Learning”
Awesome study site with games based on the reward
system; kids have to answer questions correctly to play
one of the numerous games

Teachers create the topic and the questions; the kids get
to pick which game they want to play.

Even allows teachers to monitor progress

Teacher example: http://bit.ly/xb4bgp
Weebly
“Easy Website Creation”

Drag-and-drop website creator; no HTML coding
necessary!

Choose from over 100 pre-built themes; this may very
well be the most difficult part of the entire website
creation!
