5. To start off with the image, I used Polygonal Lasso Tool which helped me cut
out the flower placed within the skull. After going all the way around that
particular part of the image, I copied and pasted it so there was two layers
within the Photoshop image.
6. I then went on to the Rectangular Marquee Tool after creating the new
layer, and selected a certain area on the main background layer and used
Crop in the image tab and then cropped it. This means that the small extra
little bit of space which wasn’t necessarily needed has been taken away
leaving me with a main focus within the image.
7. Again here, I still have the original background image layer selected and I
have changed the coloured image to Black and White. I have only moved
the Yellow arrow up slightly to make the skull a little bit more lighter.
8. To finish off my image, I used the Lens Corrector effect on filter to create a
dark shadowy type effect within the corners of the image. I made the
effect myself by going to custom and than changing the Vignette Amount
and Midpoint.
9. FINAL EDIT
For the final bit to my final edited image, I put the second layer back on
top of the first layer which shows the bright pink flower clear on the black
and white background.
11. To start off with in this image, I went to Image, Adjustments and then
Vibrance which make the image look more pale than its bright original
image. This has gave it a slight vintage look.
12. On this image, again I have used the effect Lens Corrector because this
effect is one I like to use as it makes the image stand out a little bit more.
It makes whatever is in the middle of the image, stand out more.
13. Then after applying the Lens Corrector effect, I then when to
Image, Adjustments one more time and then went on to Colour Balance
and slightly moved the Magenta colour to give off the vintage look.
14. FINAL EDIT
This is the final image of what the original image looks like after a little
bit of editing has been added to it.
16. To start off with the editing of the Dot Martins, I have gone to
Image, Adjustments and then Brightness/Contrast. By using this, I have
enabled to make the shoes, go a more vibrant red which is more catching
to the eye and makes them stand out a little bit more.
17. Then I went to Image, Adjustments and then Hue/Saturation several times.
I have used this technique to change the colour of the shoes in many
different ways and colours. I have done different colours to make each
image different from the first which will create a wider range of an outcome.
18. For each individual image of the shoes, I went to Filter, Distort and then
Lens Corrector because this effect is great to use for an image like this as it
darkens the edges around the shoes and makes the actual colour of the
shoes stand out even more. This will enable who ever is looking at it to
focus more on what's in the middle of the image.
19. FINAL EDITS
Here are the final edits of the
Dot Martins I had photographed.
Each of their own colour will the
same technique and style added
to them. There is a wide range of
colour or what you could say
‘rainbow’ type and have all been
a sorted to how the colours go
together. Each colour is set to a
vibrant look and is bold.
