The Content Lifecycle This Lifecycle focuses on how to deliver a scalable, flexible, and cost-effective content
management solution using the architecture .
 Document management is the process of organizing, storing, protecting, and sharing
documents. It tracks and stores electronic documents. It is usually also capable of
keeping track of the different versions modified by different users.

secured but highly flexible and customizable, so organizations can create more efficient and

2.Retention Management

 The retention schedule and any required components, such as triggers, periods,
classifications, and custom security or metadata fields are created.
 Items are filed into the retention schedule by users
 Disposition rules are processed in accordance with the defined disposition schedules,
which usually have a retention period
 Whenever a disposition event is due for action (as activated by a trigger), an e-mail
notification is sent to the person responsible for processing the events. The same is true
for review.
 The Records Administrator or privileged user performs the review process. This is a
manual process.
 The Records Administrator processes the disposition actions on the pending
dispositions approval page. This is a manual process. A batch process is run to process
an approval.
