- 1. Using NetLogo: An Introduction
- 5. Basic Interface Components Here are the basic “pieces” of the NetLogo interface.
- 6. The Information Tab A handy area to see the purpose of a given model. This info is also listed in the models library.
- 7. Setup Button Instructs the model to run a list of commands. Must be pressed before pressing “Go”.
- 8. Go Button Instructs the model to begin running it’s script of commands.
- 9. Graphics Window Shows interaction of turtles and patches.
- 10. The Speed Slider The speed slider is located in the top left corner of the graphics window.
- 11. Turtles Turtles are the “participants” within the model.
- 12. Patches The green grass in this model is composed of patches, a (x,y) coordinate grid used to direct turtle behavior.
- 13. Inspecting Patches & Turtles Stop the model by pressing “GO”. Right click (apple users control-click).
- 14. Inspecting Patches & Turtles Next, select either the patch or turtle that you clicked on in the graphics window.
- 15. The Switch Switches a variable either “on” or “off”.
- 16. The Slider Manipulates a variable within a model.
