7. Profiles – Payment type Added
The Payment Method field may be screen painted on the Profile screen More Fields tab for company,
contact, agent, and source profiles. (The Reservations>Payment Types Per Window application parameter
must be set to Y in order to use this functionality.) Select the down arrow to define the payment method
that should be applied when default routing instructions are associated with a reservation.

8. Profiles – Courtesy Card
The courtesy card parameter allows the user to link payment types to the
membership rule set for Revenue linked to the membership type. When
checking out a guest which has a membership type based on revenue
attached, the user will be prompted if they wish to calculate the points.

9. Profiles – Add On
Individual profiles have the new feature called Add On. This enables for
faster creation of profiles which have similar attributes but different
names.

10. Profiles – Search within profile search
This new parameter gives more flexibility how one
can search within the Profile screen. When
Parameter is set to ‘N’, the large grey single
button Select Another Guest will display
over the existing search field and grid. Once
selected it will take you the regular profile
search screen.

11. Reservations – Rate Query Enhancement
A new alternates buttons is available from the ANALYZE form, which
now displays a calendar showing availability and restrictions for the
entire month

12. Reservations – Default Payment for Sharers
This parameter allows you to specify a default
reservation payment type for a sharer that can
be changed at the time the share is set up.

13. Reservations –DNM for Sharers

When the feature Profile Privacy is turned on, we can have the privacy screen appear upon the
guest Check in.

The Rate Amount field may be directly edited on the Daily Details grid.

18. Reservations – Component Suites
Component rooms are now function driven.
Rooms that belong to a component room will appear yellow on Room search, Rate query and room plan screens.
A warning message will pop up ‘Component Room Warning’ when the room being assigned is part of a
component room.

19. Reservations – Deposit / Cxl Screen
When a deposit payment has been made by a Credit card, the last 4 digits will appear in the
payment method field
Once a reservation has been cancelled with a deposit, you now have the ability to transfer
the deposit from a cancelled reservation to another reservation

20. Reservations – Deposit / Cxl Screen
You can now sort the cancelled reservations on the main Deposit / Cancellation screen depending
whether a cancellation penalty applies or not.

21. Reservations – PM & Shares
The reservation option Share is available for PM rooms. This is user right driven.

22. Reservations – Share Rate Splitting
A parameter allows users to access the rate amount split (Entire, Split, Full) even if the reservations have
a fixed rate.

23. Reservations – General Comment
A new comment type has been introduced to prevent from duplication of comments.

24. Reservations – Guest Pay Only
This parameter is used to display only
room revenue, packages, and generates
for which the guest is the payer. Rate

Party has been separated from Group so that the party functionality can be used, even when the
reservation is part of a group.

27. Reservations – Profile Search
When this parameter is active, users are not prompted to go to the profile search screen but are
taken directly to the profile search screen if a partial match exists for a particular profile.

28. Reservations – Connecting Rooms
Opera has always had the connecting room feature. Now we provide the possibility to turn this feature
on or off within Opera. When this parameter is active, we can configure connecting rooms in Opera and
use them throughout the system.

29. Reservations – Reservation Discounts
Reservation Discounts can now be turned off if a hotel would not like to use that functionality.
If this function is not activated the discount fields across the application will be hidden.

30. Reservations – Item Inventory Pool

This function activates the ability to configure rates according to cycles and
invoice the guest in advance based on the cycle selected.

When configuring packages, there is now the possibility to forecast packages when the POS Next Day
Allowance is not selected.

This new setting enables automatic assignment of a selected housekeeping room status to pre‐assigned rooms
when the reservation is no show or when the reservation is cancelled on the arrival date.

59. Housekeeping – Delete repairs over 90 days
When this parameter is active, it will automatically delete repairs that are greater than 90 days.

60. Housekeeping – Show task sheet menu item
This new feature can only be used when a property has a PBX. When this feature is active,
properties have the ability to calculate the speed of a room being cleaned and the whereabouts of
housekeeping attendant.

61. Housekeeping – Customize Facility Schedule
You can now customize the housekeeping task schedule prior to reservation check in.
This can be done by going to reservation options and facility scheduler.

62. Quick Keys – House Status Breakout
The Arrivals Expected field, Alt+E, or Arrivals Actual, Alt+A, displays a breakout that allows the
Arrivals Expected and Arrivals Actual to be viewed by Market Group, Market Code, or Reservation
Type.
A new field for Day of Arrival Cancels is now displayed on the House Status screen when the date
entered is the current business date. This field will be populated with the number of Rooms,
Persons and VIP's that are canceled on the arrival date.

This new functionality, allows the property to control whether selected pop‐up messages and
prompts are displayed or not throughout Opera.
A default value can be assigned whether or whether the pop‐up message should appear at all.

75. General – Stream Printing
Opera Stream printing has been introduced which enables the background streaming of the report
PDF file to a web browser window, which is then printed. The user is able to continue using Opera
as the report generation and printing process occurs.
Requires Acrobat Reader V8.1.1 or V9.

76. General – Multiple EOD
This new feature is excellent for running e.g.:30 night audits in a row. Ideal for seasonal hotels.

When a property is using address cleaning system.

first being part of that user group.
