OpenAI Five
OpenAI Five is a computer
program by OpenAI that plays the five-on-
five video game Dota 2. Its first public
appearance occurred in 2017, where it was
demonstrated in a live one-on-one game
against the professional player, Dendi, who
lost to it. The following year, the system
had advanced to the point of performing as
a full team of five, and began playing
against and showing the capability to
defeat professional teams.
23. Gym Retro
Gym Retro is a library, also created
by OpenAI, that allows usage of
retro video games as Gym
environments. It uses internally
different emulators for each system,
all of them natively supporting the
Libretro API [23], which allows for
easy addition of new emulators.
24. Debate Game
The single pixel debate game is played between two debaters and a judge. One
debater tells the truth, the other lies. An image is visible to the two debaters, and
they can draw rectangles on the image and talk to the judge. The judge sees only
the rectangles: the image is hidden. Each debater is also allowed to reveal a
single pixel to the judge. The pixel must be chosen carefully, since they can only
reveal one pixel total over the whole debate.
