4. Open Educational Resources:
Open Educational Resources (OER) are:
 Teaching, learning and research materials in any
medium – digital or otherwise – that
 Reside in the public domain or have been released
under an open license that
 Permits no-cost access, use, adaptation and
redistribution by others with no or limited restrictions.
 OER form part of ‘Open Solutions’, alongside Free and
Open Source software (FOSS), Open Access (OA),
Open Data (OD) and crowdsourcing platforms.

5. e-Books :
 e-Books or an electronic book is
 a book publication made available
in digital form, consisting of text, images,
pictures.
 It can be read on e-reader devices ( e.g. Kindle )
, but also on Desktop, Computers, Laptops,
Tablets and Smart phones etc

6. E-journals : electronic journals are scholarly journals or intellectual
magazines which is published periodically in electronic format & available
either free or on subscription basis.

7. e - Databases :
It is a searchable electronic collection of
resources.
There are two basic types of Databases:

• Full-text Databases

reusable & refreshable version of a traditional
newspaper that acquires and holds information
electronically.

• An institutional repository is an archive for collecting,
preserving, and disseminating digital copies of the
intellectual output of an institution, particularly a
research institution.
• In present Covid-19 situation many institutions have
come up with their own content. A few have been noted

A digital library, digital repository, or digital
collection, is an online database of digital
objects that can include text, still images, audio,
video, digital documents, or other digital media
formats
