This document summarizes an automatic gate opener project built using an Arduino microcontroller. It consists of a 4x3 keypad for input, ATMega324P microcontroller, L293D motor driver IC, relay timer, limit switches, DC motor, power supply, and 16x2 LCD display. The microcontroller interprets the keypad input and sends signals to the motor driver IC to control the DC motor's direction of rotation to open and close the gate. Limit switches provide feedback to the microcontroller to reverse motor rotation after a preset time period. The project is useful for residential and small office applications and keeps costs low using readily available components.
