2. ABSTRACT
The project is designed to control a circuit
breaker with help of a password .
This proposed system provides a solution,
which can ensure the safety of the
maintenance staff.
EXAMPLE:
Line man
The control to turn ON/OFF the line lies with
the line man only
3. This system has an arrangement such that a
password is required to operate the circuit
breaker (ON/OFF).
Line man can turn off the supply and comfortably
repair it, and return to the substation, then turn on
the line by entering the correct password.
The system is fully controlled by a PIC16F877A
IC.
If the password entered is correct, then only the
line can be turned ON/OFF. Activation /
deactivation of the circuit breaker is indicated by
a lamp (ON/OFF).
7. DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS:
PIC16F877A
PIC16F877A is the flash technology, so that data
is retained even when the power is switched off.
Easy programming and Erasing are other features
of PIC 16F877A.
The A/D convertor module in PIC 16877A
has eight inputs .The conversion of analog input
results in a corresponding 10 bit digital output.
The A/D module has four registers.
8. LCD Display (16x2)
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen is an
electronic display module.
A 16x2 LCD display is very basic module and
is very commonly used in various devices and
circuits
A 16x2 LCD means it can display 16
characters per line and there are 2 such lines.
In this LCD each character is displayed in 5x7
pixel matrix. This LCD has two registers,
namely, Command and Data.
9. CONCLUSION
Thus the mini project ,’’PASSWORD BASED
CIRCUIT BREAKER CONTROL TO
ENSURE ELECTRIC LINE MAN’S SAFETY
THE PIC MICROCONTROLLER’’.
This proposed system provides a solution,
which can ensure the safety of the maintenance.
