Mastering azure devOps - Dot Net TricksGaurav Singh
DevOps is the combination of "development and operations" where the Collaboration of software development (Dev) and information-technology operations (Ops) aims to to deliver applications and software services at high speed and high velocity using combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools.
[Mustafa Toroman, Saša Kranjac] More and more services we use every day are moving to cloud. This creates many challenges, especially if we look at things from security point of view. Taking services out of our datacenter, opens our data and services to new kind of threats but fortunately new tools are available to protect us. See from both perspectives how attackers can try to exploit our journey to cloud and how can we detect threats and stop attacks before they occur. We will show examples how Red Team attacks our Cloud and how Blue Team can detect and stop Red Team.

Microsoft 365 Copilot: How to boost your productivity with AI – Part two: Dat...Nikki Chapple
Microsoft 365 Copilot is a revolutionary productivity assistant that leverages large language models (LLMs) and your organisational data to help you create, communicate, and collaborate more effectively across Microsoft 365 apps.
Copilot can assist you with various tasks, such as drafting emails, making presentations, processing data, and finding insights. But to make the most of this game-changing technology, you must master three key aspects: adoption, data security, and governance.
In this two-part session, a Microsoft 365 expert, Nikki will guide you through these aspects and show you how to use Copilot to boost your productivity, creativity, and confidence.
In the second part of the session, Nikki will concentrate on data security and governance. She will explain that implementing Microsoft 365 Copilot requires a strategic approach beyond just adopting the technology. To truly unlock its potential, you must prioritise governance and data security. Without these crucial components, you risk oversharing and surfacing outdated information.
Key takeaways:
– The risks of not addressing data security and governance as part of your Microsoft 365 Copilot transformation
– How to configure Microsoft 365 for “just enough access” to safeguard your sensitive data
– How to improve data governance to deliver more accurate and relevant recommendations
It's always been a dilemma -- do you invest in servers, licenses and people to set up and maintain a fully controllable SharePoint infrastructure in-house, or is it time to explore hosting SharePoint off-premise? Legal IT professionals have been struggling with this decision for years.
The on-premise option offers peace of mind from a security and controllability standpoint, but comes saddled with high costs, a demand for resources and limited scalability. SharePoint Online, on the other hand, alleviates the burden associated with SharePoint on-premise by removing the need for servers, software licenses and personnel, and can be rolled out to a large pool of people virtually overnight. However, you'll still need support for integration projects. Join us as we discuss the pros and cons of each option and give you recommendations based on our experiences, deployments and feedback.

Microsoft Information Protection: Your Security and Compliance FrameworkAlistair Pugin
Its one thing encrypting and protecting your data from prying eyes but what use is it, if it is not retained or protected against loss. With Microsoft Information Protection, Microsoft provides organisations the ability to:
• Protection content from deletion
• Adhere to compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc)
• Discover content for litigation
• Manage access to content based on rules
By implementing the correct rules, organisations are able to mitigate risk and remain compliant and at the same time ensure that content is identified, classified, retained and disposed of accordingly.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. A tale of scale & speed: How the US Navy is enabling software delivery from l...sonjaschweigert1
Rapid and secure feature delivery is a goal across every application team and every branch of the DoD. The Navy’s DevSecOps platform, Party Barge, has achieved:
- Reduction in onboarding time from 5 weeks to 1 day
- Improved developer experience and productivity through actionable findings and reduction of false positives
- Maintenance of superior security standards and inherent policy enforcement with Authorization to Operate (ATO)
Development teams can ship efficiently and ensure applications are cyber ready for Navy Authorizing Officials (AOs). In this webinar, Sigma Defense and Anchore will give attendees a look behind the scenes and demo secure pipeline automation and security artifacts that speed up application ATO and time to production.
We will cover:
- How to remove silos in DevSecOps
- How to build efficient development pipeline roles and component templates
- How to deliver security artifacts that matter for ATO’s (SBOMs, vulnerability reports, and policy evidence)
- How to streamline operations with automated policy checks on container images

• The GDPR is the European Union’s new data protection law. It
replaces the Data Protection Directive, which has been in
effect since 1995.
• While the GDPR preserves many of the principles established
in the Directive, it is a much more ambitious law. Among its
most notable changes, the GDPR gives individuals greater
control over their personal data and imposes many new
obligations on organizations that collect, handle, or analyze
personal data. The GDPR also gives national regulators new
powers to impose significant fines on organizations that
breach the law. Learn about Microsoft's commitment to GDPR
compliance

New in SharePoint 2016 and online, is the ability to
create compliance policies. The Compliance Center
site template can be a useful way to centralize
policies related to city, state, federal, or other
business rules and regulations.
Unlike other site templates, a Compliance Center
template must be created from SharePoint Central
Administration before it can be used by a site
collection administrator or site owner.
45. Records Center
The Records Center is a site template which provides tools
for records management. A record can be any document
that needs to be routed and retained for a certain amount
of time. The Records Center uses a Drop Off Library that can
be accessed from the front page by using the Submit a
Record button
The Records Center site has built-in tools that allow
documents to be automatically routed based on specific
metadata. Library folders are the primary repository for
these documents. Documents are routed to the correct
library folder using the Content Organizer.
48. In Place Records Management
Records Management can be done through a Records
Center, or at a specific library within
the site collection. The feature can be activated at the site coll
ection level and then can be implemented within a library.
