Office 365 integrates Microsoft applications and services, allowing users to access work documents, emails, and files from any internet-connected device without having to store them locally. It gained popularity after a successful public beta test in 2010 led to its full launch in 2011. Updates to Office 365 are implemented through "the cloud" which stores and syncs all application data so that users always have access to the most current files and information from any device when connected online.
