This document discusses a company's services to help other companies achieve net zero emissions. It offers to measure a company's full carbon footprint, including supply chain emissions. It then develops a net zero plan with emission reduction targets and recommendations specific to each client. The company helps execute the plan by reducing direct emissions and engaging suppliers to cut indirect emissions. It finds carbon removal investments for remaining emissions that cannot be reduced. Finally, it assists with reporting progress to stakeholders to demonstrate commitment to reaching net zero goals. The company presents itself as a trusted partner that can accurately measure emissions using high-end technology to guide clients along a path to achieving their net zero targets.
Science Based Targets: Scope and Goals of the Transport Refinement ProjectScience Based Targets
The Science Based Targets initiative champions science-based target setting as a powerful way of boosting companies’ competitive advantage in the transition to the low-carbon economy.
Since officially launching in June, 2015, up to 23 June 2017:
279 Companies Part of SBTi Call to Action
157 Committed companies have submitted targets
51 Approved and listed targets
2.6 Companies joining the initiative on average every week
The goals of the Transport Refinement Project are to:
Produce an SDA Transport Tool that a broader range of companies can use to model transport GHG reduction targets, consistent with the long-term temperature goals adopted in the Paris Agreement.
2) Produce a Technical Paper explaining main projections and assumptions embedded in the decarbonization models useful for companies to inform their carbon strategies. This document will also explain the methodological choices adopted after consultation.
3) Produce Target-setting Guidance, for different end- users (i.e. passenger transport companies, logistic companies, vehicle & autopart manufactures, other transport emissions in the value chain) on how to use the SDA transport tool to set GHG reduction targets.

Carbon Offsetting
There are many articles on the sustainability of the watchmaking, jewelery, lifestyle and luxury industry. Very often, they target large publicly traded groups and well-established iconic brands. Unfortunately, they forget that our industry is mainly made up of small and medium-sized businesses. And these SMEs face the same problems, but with clearly different means.
Today, H. Sturzenegger & Sons has created a specialized team of consultants and offers professional services in assessment, measurement, implementation and monitoring of sustainability policies to SMEs of all sizes and for each budget. Indeed, the protection of our planet is not the monopoly of large groups, nor of iconic brands, but it is the responsibility of all, including SMEs, employees, shareholders and everyone, in our daily life. Fewer speeches, but simple, precise and most effective actions.
Below you will find our own approach, in total compliance with the UN’s “17 ESG criteria” and the OECD’s “Sustainable Manufacturing Green Toolkit”.
Continued investment in a linear economy results in long-term, system-wide impacts and risks. Moving to a circular economy is increasingly recognized as an opportunity to reduce risk and uncover new growth opportunities. However, while a variety of tools exist for measuring and quantifying sustainability topics and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, no tool currently exists that provides a comprehensive framework for circularity and specifically quantify how circular organisations are.
To address this, Circle Economy developed the Circle Assessment to establish a global standard to help investors and companies assess where organizations can create value by following the principles of a circular economy. Via an online survey, the Circle Assessment measures organisations against circular objectives and provides recommendations for how to capitalise on opportunities to adopt circular focused business practices.

The E P&L is a pioneering tool to help businesses manage their relationship with the natural environment. All businesses rely on natural capital to deliver their products and services. However, as a result of their activities, businesses also impact the environment through their use of land and natural resources and their emissions to air, discharges to water and waste.
Kering developed the E P&L to help measure and understand its impact on natural capital across its supply chain, from raw materials to the delivery of products to customers.

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.
