- 4. apparel impact institute Fashion Climate Fund 4 Aii’s $250M Fashion Climate Fund is designed to unlock up to $2B of capital towards reducing fashion carbon emissions by at least 50% by 2030. Aii accepts solutions into the Climate Solutions Portfolio either as Grantees or Registrants. When needed, Aii provides grants to solutions from the Fashion Climate Fund. Aii connects Grantees & Registrants with financial partners for debt and equity financing to scale.

Stakeholders struggle to locate science- backed initiatives and programs with the potential to support their GHG reduction goals. Which solutions are credible and verifiable? A limited amount of unstandardized data on the effectiveness of many of these solutions creates uncertainty and confusion about their efficacy. Which solutions do we prioritize? Fragmented coordination across the industry around priorities and timelines slows down the scaling of proven programs. - 11. apparel impact institute We Want Solutions That Can Scale by 2030 We will fund projects with different stages of commercialisation, we want to help you get to scale by 2030 11 Pre-Seed We will be selecting pre-seed solutions that have a clearly defined, feasible and rapid plan to scale. We will not support projects seeking to prove concepts. Model Funding should be used to iron out any remaining barriers, risks or lack of knowledge preventing widespread deployment of the solution. Pilot Solutions looking to move from pilot to model are our sweet spot. The purpose of funding at this stage is to evaluate opportunities for and barriers to scale, allowing for customized deployment of the solution. We have limited funds; they should be additional and help climate solutions scale to achieve the sector’s 2030 goals 12 What will be the CO2e reductions as a direct result of the grant funding? How will this project continue post grant and deploy through the Climate Solutions Portfolio? Why is this funding needed, what is preventing this project from otherwise taking place? What barriers does your solution still have that this grant funding could alleviate? How will this grant project help your solution scale post grant project?
