It also introduces the presenter, Dhananjay Kumar, and provides overviews of Node.js as an asynchronous event-driven JavaScript runtime and how Node works using a single thread and non-blocking I/O. Code demos are included for core Node.js concepts.
Intro To React Native
with Varun Vachhar
OVERVIEW
React Native introduces a new way to write native mobile apps. You can take everything that you know and love about React and apply it to native apps. Unlike hybrid apps, it gives you access to both native APIs and UI components. The application logic uses JavaScript whereas, the UI is fully native! It also brings the best of the web to native, things like – flexbox layout model, XMLHttpRequest, requestAnimationFrame, etc.
OBJECTIVE
To introduce the audience to React Native. Show how they can leverage their knowledge of web development to build native apps.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Developers familiar with React who are interested in building native mobile apps.
ASSUMED AUDIENCE KNOWLEDGE
Basic knowledge of React, ES6 and CSS.
FIVE THINGS AUDIENCE MEMBERS WILL LEARN
What is React Native
How it is an extension of hybrid
How to use polyfills to leverage the best of the web while getting native performance
How to debug React Native apps
How to use Flexbox and CSS for styling a React Native app
Presentation used for my session on Facebook Developer Circle Chennai - React Native for beginners meetup.

The evolution of Angular 2
Angular 1 was born in 2009. Since that a lot of web standards are born and supported by most of the browsers natively. So it's time to use the new possibilities. That's how Angular 2 started. It's not just a major update. It's a whole rewrite!
The key theme of this talk it to get an overview of Angular 2. I’ll walk you through what you need to know to stay up to date, explain the main concepts behind A2 and the current state.
It is rounded off with some practical suggestions on how to proceed today - to make the transition from Angular 1.x to Angular 2.x easier.

Bringing Interactivity to Your Drupal Site with Node.js IntegrationAcquia
Drupal is a powerful, flexible platform for building applications, but not something that handles realtime notifications easily. Node.js is a breath of fresh air in the Open Source web server landscape. It makes writing applications that handle thousands of open connections at the same time easily.
The Nodejs module integrates Drupal with Node.js, allowing for the best of both worlds. Realtime chat, push notifications and help desk functionality can all be easily added to your Drupal site via the Nodejs module, without the usual scalability and performance issues associated with these technologies on the LAMP stack.

Kushal tries to demystify Node.js, a server side javascripting tool through this set of slides.
The tutorial includes an introduction, Node prompt/Hello World program, first HTTP server, benchmarking, node package manager . Begining with an introduction section. The section includes an introduction to Node.JS as a framework and also includes steps to install Node.JS. Followed by is a Node prompt/Hello world program section which includes a brief about Node prompt and also includes a brief on “hello world” program.
The next section is about first HTTP server which includes HTTP module being used to create first basic server. It also includes analyzing the HTTP server by a method called listen. Furthermore, it also includes server handling the requests and two parameters are passed into it: request and response, there are frameworks which does that for us. A section about Benchmarking is after the HTTP server. It includes benchmarking Node.JS where apache HTTP server benchmarking tool is used for benchmarking. It also involves in the unblocking asynchronous model of Javascript and javascript adoptability.
The last section of the tutorial is about Node package manager which includes steps to install the Node package manager, the frameworks like express, geddy, connect, railwaysJS where express is one of the popular ones.
Node.js uses JavaScript - a language known to millions of developers worldwide - thus giving it a much lower learning curve even for complete beginners. Using Node.js you can build simple Command Line programs or complex enterprise level web applications with equal ease. Node.js is an event-driven, server-side, asynchronous development platform with lightning speed execution. Node.js helps you to code the most complex functionalities in just a few lines of code.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

function
It takes a callback as parameter . It
takes HTTP request and response
as paramtere
Callback got two input parameter .
Both input parameters are
readable and writeable stream
•
Writing response header
It takes a JSON object as optional
second parameter
second parameter contains
informations like
•

createServer() method
is finished with chained
http.Server.listen()
method
It specifies port number
on which request will be
listen
Optional host name
8. How Node works ?
• It works on single thread
• It handles all request asynchronously
on same thread
• It does not create new thread for each
request which is very unlikely like
other web servers
• It does not wait to complete a request
Keep poling for event in
EventLoop
When gets event process
asynchronously and
assign a CallBack
CallBack get executed
once event execution is
complete
10. Events in Node
• Each objects in Node emit an asynchronous
event.
• event is handled by an object EventEmitter.
• EventEmitter is underneath every object.
