National History Day is introducing changes to its website category for the 2009-2010 competition. Students must now create their websites using Weebly tools accessed through the NHD portal, rather than using third-party tools directly. The Weebly system allows students to access and work on their sites at any time except during judging periods. Students are still required to submit four hard copies of their homepage, process paper, and annotated bibliography. Websites will be judged on clear navigation, historical quality, relation to theme, innovation, impact and change, citations, use of multimedia elements, and analysis of included multimedia.
