A student from Pamekasan Junior High School in East Java won a gold medal at the International Mathematics Contest held in Romania from March 22 to 29. The student, Alyssa Diva Mustika, said she was glad to win the tight competition and would work harder in her studies. Indonesia sent 10 students to the competition, and students from Pamekasan have won awards at other international science competitions in the past as well. The regent of Pamekasan praised Diva for bringing honor to Indonesia and her hometown on the international stage.
