Cgi Lesson Plan
How did my teaching/learning activities help students reach the goals for today?
My goal for my CGI lesson was to have students solve a word problem using anyone of their math
strategies that they have been working on with the master teacher. However, I also wanted them to add
an equation sentence to their strategy because that is what they will be doing in 1st grade rather than
just drawing pictures. When I was grading their work, I can say 81% of the class met the objective for
the day, which means only 5 students got the problem wrong and 22 students showed a strategy with
the correct answer. Out of the 22 students who used a math strategy and got the right answer, only 3
didn t show an equation sentence. Grading students work made me ... Show more content on

Each student has a magnet with their number on it and they can either move it up for good behavior or
down for bad behavior. When I am trying to get everyone to look at the TV for instruction and
students are not engaged, that is when I call on a few students to move their magnet up, which gets the
other students attention because they want their magnet moved up. I feel this is the best strategy that I
learned, however, when the master teacher does it, it works a lot better than when I do it. Once
students start to get comfortable with me, I feel that the classroom management strategies that I use,
just like the master teacher, will work a lot better.
To try and get my students under control, especially when they re talking, I have been using chants to
get them focused on the task at hand. This is something that the master teacher does often, so I want to
continue the routine. However, when she does the chants, I feel like the class responds better, but I am
hoping that students will feel comfortable with me soon. Some chants include: I say macaroni and
they say cheese or When I say voices you say? and the students say, shhh and we continue that until

Enzyme Case Study
Once the Cas enzyme is selected (in this case Cas9), the gRNA and healing fragment built, these
elements will be cloned into the basal viral vector to produce the HPV CRISPR CAS9 mediated repair
plasmid (HCCMRP). It is the hope that this vector once introduced into the epithelial cells with the
aforementioned mutation will revert the Stk11 mutation as seen in the (figures 3 4 in appendix). The
HCCMRP will be multiplied by PCR and sequenced to confirm the presence of all required
components.
To administer this plasmid in the body we will use the HPVs natural mechanism for targeting
epithelial cells by placing the HCCMRP in the HPVs protein capsid. This will be done by once again
transforming the HeLa cells, however, this time with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The clinicians nor the patients will know if they have received the treatment, the control, or the
treatment with immunosuppressants. For safety patience will be kept in isolation for the duration of
the trial to prevent the spread of the HPV if it is shown to have unforeseen negative effects in humans
In the first phase 4 colon epithelial cell cultures will be grown. One will be designated as a control
whereas the remaining cultures will be infected with the viral healing serum. The cultures will be
grown for three weeks allowing the CRISPR repair to take place and the spread of more HPV healing
viruses to uninfected cells. Once this incubation period is over a miniprep protocol will be used to
extract the genome of the colon epithelial culture and the HCCMRP. The genome of the colon
epithelial cells will be examined by microarray high throughput analysis to examine the ratio of
reverted wild type STK11 cells and those who are still mutant. The ratio is expected to be low around
.25 however since this is a long term treatment this is significant enough for our means. The extracted
HCCMRP and its predecessor used to make the viral healing serum will be compared to analyse
mutation rate (if any) to determine the risk of this treatment.
The second phase will involve the testing with 150 mice with the mutation in the STK11 gene which
this treatment was designed to revert. The mice will be

maxillary fracture that occurred from a fight with another stallion on June 9, 2015. Summary of the
patient s physical status on presentation Emmit presented with lacerations on both the right and left
side of his maxilla, deep, labored respirations, excessive swelling of his nose, mouth, and face.
Because of the excessive swelling of Emmit s face as well as the lacerations that communicated with

These parameters would not only help to maintain the patient at a surgical plane of anesthesia but also
help the anesthetist maintain the patient at a steady state physiologically and metabolically. In
addition, the patient s potassium levels were specially monitored throughout the anesthesia due to his

Synthesis Of Iron Research Paper
Iron is a chemical element with the symbol Fe and atomic number 26. It has a melting point of 1,538
Ā°C and a boiling point of 2,862 Ā°C. The term ferric refers to any compound or material containing
iron. The oxidation numbers 2+ and 3+ denote the chemical structure of the ferric compound. [11]
By its mass, iron is the most common element on earth forming much of the inner and outer core of
the planet. Iron is the most abundant transition metal in the body. It is involved in many bodily
functions such as the transport of oxygen and electrons, the production of energy and the synthesis of
DNA. As iron is a transition metal it has loosely bound electrons in its outer shell, these loosely bound
electrons can catalyse the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the body. This catalysing
reaction can lead to mutations in the cell, DNA strand breaking and oncogene activation. ROS or free
radicals are compounds within the cell which contain an unpaired electron and are therefore unstable
and react within the cell. It is thought that the DNA damage within the cell caused by the ROS is a
substantial factor in the carcinogenic process. [11]
As iron can cause toxicity in the body many mechanisms have developed to regulate the free iron in
our systems. All cells within our bodies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
[12] Extracellular di ferric transferrin is bound by the membrane bound Tf receptor and internalized
via receptor mediated endocytosis into an endosome. Iron is released from Tf, most likely by a
decrease in pH, and is then transported through the membrane by an uncharacterized transporter. Once
the iron passes through the membrane, it enters a compartment known as the intracellular labile Fe
pool. ApoTf remains bound to the TfR and is then released by exocytosis. Iron that enters the cell can
be used for metabolic functioning or can be stored in ferritin.

Summary Of Appiah s Death Of The Duel
In the first half of Death of the Duel, Appiah begins by providing the details of a duel between two
prominent British government officials, using the specific example as a jumping point to discuss the
general idea of dueling. The form of honor being represented in this case is that of reputation and the
maintenance of regard from the general public. This concept of honor as a form of social standing is
interesting because it subverts Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs and many other psychological theories
that try to map out human instinct which places safety and security in higher regard than it does
esteem or ego. In the case of the duel, honor is considered the highest human need, even above life
itself if one considers the death toll, although that mainly applies to the aristocratic class, who had
most of their basic needs taken care of already. In the case of dueling, the society at the time seemed
to conflate the ideas of respect and honor, assuming that the characteristic of honorability
automatically entitled one to respect from peers and lower classes. Appiah, however, distinguishes the
two by noting that honor is the individual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While Appiah believes there is only pride in doing things out of the ordinary, I believe that it also
takes courage and honor to follow honor codes in everyday circumstances. Being honorable is difficult
sin a world where honorable behavior, contrary to Appiah s belief, is not actually standard behavior.
For example, a student witnesses two bullies harassing another student and steps in to stop them.
While this might be fairly standard honorable behavior, that does not mean the student shouldn t feel
proud of their actions and the courage they took. The pride doesn t detract from the previously
honorable actions. In his argument, Appiah seems to conflate the idea of pride personal satisfaction
with vanity and the need to boost reputation, which I hold to be two separate

Wilson Vs Macomber Essay
In Ernest Hemingway s short story, The Short, Happy life of Francis Macomber, Hemingway uses the
writer s craft of perspective to develop the characterization of the three protagonists. Wilson,
Margaret, and Macomber s characterization develops through multiple perspectives and techniques
that help to create a consistently negative tone. Through reading this story, readers can better
understand how to view other people s actions and their own.
In Hemingway s short story, it is evident to readers that Wilson, despite being a professional hunter, is
self centered, refuses to take responsibility for his actions, and is unethical. Wilson s self centered,
apathetic regard for the Macombers marital issues is shown through how willing he is to ... Show

In Wilson s internal dialogue, readers can also see that though he tends to judge others, he rarely
criticizes his own actions. Near the ending of the book, readers can see the way Wilson views his
behaviors, and just how skewed his morals really are. Wilson s unethical nature is exemplified through
his acceptance and normalization of sleeping with married women. On page nineteen, the text states
that, He, Robert Wilson, carried a double size cot on safari to accommodate any windfalls he might
receive. This description of Wilson allows the reader to understand just how selfish and immoral
Wilson is. Not only does he commit shameful acts and justify himself, but he does it on a regular basis
and with a lot of people.Though he admits to despising many of these people, as long as they will pay
him well enough, he is willing to do anything. Truly, Wilson, despite lowering himself to such pitiful
standards, still views himself as superior to everyone else. Despite Wilson s professionalism as a
hunter, through analyzing Hemingway s description of Wilson and Wilson s internal dialogue, readers
can see that his ethics are very unprofessional. Readers can then better understand Wilson s

The Hunger Games Dystopian Society
A Dystopian society can be defined as an imperfect world, a place marked by class distinction,
poverty, turmoil, and dehumanization. There are two modern works that represent these ideas to
society , Divergent and The Hunger Games. Both novels portray a cataclysmic decline in society in
the way that these dystopian elements are present. The novels referenced above feature an omnipotent
authority in the form of Snow from The Hunger Games and Jeanine and Eric from Divergent. The
factions, Divergent, and capital, The Hunger Games, represent totalitarian government, and oppression
and cruelty elicited through the large wage gap cause mistrust among its people. With this type of
government, there are always the figureheads, a benevolent leader type of public persona, which are
almost always radically different from what actually happens outside the eye of the public. President

adverse effects on the person that stem from contrasts between the capital s demands for
deindividuation, obedience, a chain of command, and dissociation. Similarly, totalitarian regiments
have been known to violate its people through torture, slave labor, and repression of citizens. Torture

Server Clustering Technology And Cloud Computing Essay
Introduction The current report focuses on Server Clustering Technology and Cloud Computing.
Server clustering and cloud computing are the latest technology used in the world widely. A cluster a
parallel or distributed system that consists of a collection of interconnected computer systems or
servers that is used as a single unified computing unit. Members of a cluster are referred to as nodes or
systems. The invention of Cloud computing has helped in ever faster and ever cheaper computaĀ¬tion.
Analysis ļ® Cluster A Cluster is defined as a group of independent server (nodes) in a computer
system, which are accessed and presented as a single system and in turn enables high availability and,
in few cases, cluster also plays important role in load balancing and parallel processing. Since it is
hard to predict the number of requests that will be allocated to a networked server, clustering also
plays vital role for load balancing to distribute processing and communications activity consistently
across a network system so that no particular server is overloaded. Server clusters can be used to make
sure that users have constant access to important server based resources. Types: Server clusters are of
three types, depending on how the nodes are connected to the devices that store the cluster
configuration and state data. It should be stored in a way that allows each active node to obtain the
data even if single or more nodes are down. The data that is stored on a resource, it is

Athens, The Polis And The High Classical Period
Athens, the Polis and the High Classical Period, Athenians Acropolis.
The Acropolis (Athens, Greek) is a city on the hills with four magnificent buildings around. The city

means highest point and the polis means city. Persians in 490 BCE and again in 480 479BCE
destroyed the city in the early Classical period and Athens becomes the dominant political power in
that time and a great see and trading power. The Acropolis is a proof of human and Greek ancient who

Stress In Dogs And Owners
Stress in Dogs and their Owners
As a dog lover, owner and trainer, it is important to be able to know and identify the signs of stress in
dogs to make sure they are living their best lives. Similarly, understanding and recognising stress in
owners is also important in case it arises in classes. This will help in making sure both dog and owner
are enjoying and learning during the class and to avoid conflict in class.
Stress is caused when an individual is unable to cope with pressure, usually emotional or mental.
Symptoms of stress in dogs can manifest themselves in many physical forms, such as the following
(Burch and Bailey, 2008; Miller, 2012; Rugaas, 2006):
Anorexia: decrease or loss of appetite
Appeasement behaviours: lip licking, grinning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Conversely, too overexercise and overstimulation can also cause stress in dogs. Balance is key in
regards to the amount of exercise and mental stimulation a dog needs.
All these reasons for stress are caused by the dog feeling threatened, in pain or discomfort (Rugaas,
2006). Knowing this, it is best to try and make the environment as comfortable for the dog as is
reasonable for a puppy class. This is not to say you should cater to their every need, it is important for
puppies to be socialised, experiencing new things in a positive way. However, it is worth keeping an
eye on what it is that stresses the dog out and if the stress continues or intensifies as classes continue,
to try and remove that source of stress from the pup s

World Beer Consumption

Written Assignment: The World Beer Industry
Beer Around the World Approximately, 100 billion liters of beer are consumed around the world every
year (Olfir, 2007). The worldwide growth rate of beer consumption has been recorded for the past 19
years (Kirin Holdings, 2005). This, however, is not to say that the beer consumption around the world
is alike. The alcoholic beverage consumption levels around the world and the rates at which these
increase vary from one country to another. For example, in India the annual consumption of beer is .5
litters per capita (Gupta, 2007), where as in Czech Republic, the consumption of beer is 156.9 liters
per capita per year ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the industry could possibly help the economic stability of a country, I believe it does a
greater harm to the different nations. I believe that one possibly solution that would allow the beer
industry to prosper without causing much harm, is if as they enter a nation to introduce their product,
they help create programs that educate people on the consumption of alcohol. I believe that if people
are educated on the subject matter and know the consequences of drinking this product, they will
continue to consume the beverage but being more responsible. This, in my opinion, will not have a
negative affect on the beer industry. Another way that a nation can prevent the consequences of
alcohol consumption caused by worldwide brewers is by creating greater taxation or other barriers that
would hinder the production and selling of beer in their nation. This scenario, however, might be one
that the beer industry might one to avoid. Unlike my first suggestion, this would have a greater
negative impact on the industry. Such situation would lower sales in the given country affecting the
revenue of the company. I also believe that although the rate of alcohol consumption in many
developing countries is increasing, these rates will begin to slow down. Although, as mentioned
earlier, economy prosperity may help increase the levels of

Difficulties And Challenges Of Learning
One of the greatest skills that we have developed as a people is our capacity and ability for language.
Creating a way for us to communicate spread ideas and further enriches our lives, language both
verbally and written, has been a great benefit to our lives. Unfortunately not everyone is as quick to
understand language in its forms, for example when a person may have difficulties in reading.
Obviously this would create a great hindrance to a person s life, and there have been a few identified
factors that have correlated with difficulties in learning to read. One of the main connections that has
been found is that a person who has difficulty in processing sounds of words, that they may also have
lessened reading abilities. In discussing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For one, even though there has been shown to be a link between auditory and verbal abilities and
reading, they are only parts of what make up the entire whole process of reading (Bishop and
Snowling 2004, Cain et al. 2004). Secondly is because there are a few important distinctions to make
between the two group sets. First would be the types of skills that fall in each group. Examples of
skills that fall within the phonological side are letter sound knowledge and phoneme awareness
(Hulme et al. 2012). In discussing phonemes, they can be defined as a unit of sound to distinguish
units of meaning or put more simply, the different noises that when put together create words (Fox and
Routh 1980). Non phonological skills on the other hand would relate to semantics along with dealing
with the definitions and comprehension of words (Bowyer Crane et al. 2008). The second is the
problems associated within each skill set. When dealing with problems associated with reading, on the
phonological side concerns with word decoding may arise if these skills slack (Bowyer Crane et al.
2008). With non phonological skills issues, problems with reading comprehension can occur (Bowyer
Crane et al. 2008). In discussing problems that arise within the phonological group set, along with
more in depth skill insights, a number of researchers have found vital breakthroughs. In dealing with
the learning of reading, phonological awareness has

Dive Mask Research Paper
SCUBA DIVING GEAR 101: The Basics As much as we, humans, would like to swim and dive in
open waters without any form of protection and aid, our anatomy just isn t perfectly designed to
handle underwater conditions for long amounts of time. This is where SCUBA Diving gear comes in.
SCUBA Diving gear allows us to see, breathe, swim and stay warm underwater. To beginners, this
stuff might look like it came from a sci fi alien invasion movie, so we ll discuss each one to help you
understand. The Dive Mask. This piece of equipment protects your eyes from sea salt and other nasty
sea stuff. But more importantly, the dive mask lets you ogle at the beauty of the underwater world!
The dive mask separates your eyes (and sometimes nose) from water and creates an air pocket to let
you see clearly underwater. The mask is fastened on the diver s face because of something called
elastomer skirt , but we don t have to worry about that yet! All it means is that the water can t get
through and your mask won t suddenly come off. The Snorkel. It s like a straw, but instead of sucking
water or beverage, we actually use this to breathe through our mouths. The snorkel allows us to
breathe while facing down when underwater. Some models are even designed to allow us to expel the
water that somehow gets in there. It is usually used for short and ... Show more content on

called as such because it regulates the amount of air you receive from the SCUBA tank every time you

mouthpiece. However, the regulator is connected to the SCUBA tank and will allow you to stay
underwater for much longer. The octopus, on the other hand, is not a pet you can take with you when

Life in Las Vegas
Hell is expensive. This is my first thought as my plane lands in Las Vegas. The

Luxor are mountains kissed by dust the hue of bone; to its left lies the Strip, where color is so bright it
looks like it has died, rotted, and come back as a poisonous flower.
I have been forewarned. First, I am told flying in at noon is not the way to enter Vegas. Correct entry

There s a small but steady amount of suicides we call jumpers, states Sgt.
Bill Keeton of Metro Police. They re generally tourists. Some jump off an overpass, even Hoover
Dam, but casinos are first choice. Balconies. The hotels wised up. Roofs stay locked.
Las Vegas has other names for its fatalities. Snowbirds are retirees from the
Northwest who settle here or come to gamble their pension funds. Downwinders are former Utah
residents fighting cancer who lived downwind of radioactive breezes in the fifties and sixties. Nuclear
testing was only one desert valley away; like the airport now, it was so close hotel rooms shook.
It s not necessarily gamblers, Keeton goes on. Just people who ve planned one last fling. We used to
get a lot from Los Angeles. Now it s people from all over the world. We had a young man fly in from
Ireland. On his immigration card, it said he seemed either on drugs or depressed. He came here and
went to a pistol range, shot targets for a while, then took his gun into a bathroom and killed himself.
His family in Ireland kept asking, why Las Vegas? At that same pistol range, a man from Japan shot
himself in his shooting stall. It s strange.
I hear other stories. Of a wealthy man from Malibu, in the computer business, who committed suicide
with sleeping pills and a plastic bag, in a luxury suite at the Mirage. His body was found next to the
room s baby grand piano. He had bad relations with his ex wife.

Consequentialism, By John Stuart Mill Essay
Consequentialism is a broad ethical theory that describes one s actions to be good or bad depending
solely upon the consequences of those actions. The distinguishing element of this theory from others
is that the action itself has no value without analyzing the expected consequences, as explained by
William H. Shaw in Consequentialism , ...when it comes to rightness or wrongness, nothing matters
but the results of our actions (Shaw 28). Then the question is, what exactly does it mean for a
consequence to be deemed good ? Utilitarianism, a more specific form of consequentialism, answers
this by describing a good action to be one that brings about the most happiness or well being for
everyone. John Stuart Mill states, The creed which accepts as the foundation of morals utility or the
greatest happiness principle holds that actions are right in proportion as they tend to promote
happiness: wrong as they tend to produce the reverse of happiness (Mill 7). This theory seems simple
when applied to everyday situations. However, it can become tricky when applied to more complex,
multi faceted, situations. Obviously there are differentiating levels of happiness. For example, in a
situation where it seems there may be no such thing as a happy outcome, the anticipated consequence
that is deemed to be the lesser of two evils would be perceived to bring about the most well being
compared to the other choice. This theory may also seem difficult because it is based on

movie, I Am Sam. I loved how it portrayed someone who has developmental disabilities and what
some issues they run into in their life. I liked how dramatic and emotional the movie was. When a
movie is emotional like this one, it makes the audience pay attention more and wonder what happens
in the end so it makes them finish the movie or book. I liked how it showed the problems or issues
Sam had trying to take care of Lucy. It broke my heart when she said, she did not want to read the

anyone else that is important to them. People never know what other stories other people have and are

Biomedical and health informatics have been in increased demand. Bloomrosen (2010) indicated the
barriers to universal access to quality and cost effective care have contributed to such demand;
consequently, many healthcare agencies have conducted research to provide up to date, and unbiased
evidence on healthcare interventions. A wealth of available data is now available for meaningfully
knowledge exploitation that can strengthen building and evidence creation, and ultimately improve

The development of Evidence Based Practice (EBP) has become an interest for Federal health reform
as well as public and private sectors, consumers, and providers; subsequently, when research is
adequately funded and evidence based treatment options become available and ready to be introduced
into practice, this is achieved through translational research. In the early 1990 s, translational research
appeared in mainly cancer related studies. More recently, the National Institute of Health (NIH)
definition of translational research has been cited as the process of applying discoveries generated
during research in the laboratory, and in preclinical studies, to the development of trials and studies in

Most new businesses show that they fail to work out in less than five years. There is a four out of five
chance that the business will survive. Causes for this include poor planning, not being able to compete
in a challenging market, or a lot of debt. Opening a business takes a lot of planning and patience. If
you rush to open up a business without any financial planning, you could possibly fail. Studying
microeconomics can help you in this situation.
Before your studying and planning, you need to be aware that starting a business is not easy and there
are going to be many things that come along with it. This can include writing out a business plan,
strategy, and advertising. You should also figure out if you are going to have employees in your
business, how many you will need, and the insurance that will be included. If you are opening a
business that falls in the retail category, you may want to consider looking for vendors and suppliers
which will really help in starting your retail business.
Looking at where you are going to open your business is very important. Always inspect where your
location to assure that is where you will want to open your business. Taking out a loan is the best route
to take, but you also need to make sure you will be able to pay it back. This is a main reason why
financial and business planning is really important. An important question to ask yourself is, Will there
be enough demand for what you are trying to sell and will you be able to

1 Day Food Intake Paper Marisa Martinez SCI/220 7 10 2012 Dr. Angela Branch 1 Day Food Intake
Paper Food intake is something that everyone should take very seriously in their daily lives. Food
intake is regulated by the complex interaction of psychological and physiological events associated
with ingestion. While the energy content of foods has an important role in determining the amount
eaten, a number of other properties of foods also may be important. These include palatability,
macronutrient composition, and form of the food for example solid vs. liquid, how it is prepared, and
its energy density. After reviewing my iProfile Journal it has come to my senses that my dietary intake

servings that any healthy meal should. In the future I think that I will begin to eat better foods that
contain vitamins, minerals, nutrients, DRI s and unsaturated fats so that my body can consume the
right amount of recommended number of servings for each meal group. My diet did not provide an
adequate variety of foods because I could have chosen to eat healthier instead of eating fast food.
According to the food pyramid in the iProfile I did not fulfill all of my goals that the food pyramid
suggested me to do. I believe that in the future to fulfill pyramid goals I will increase vegetable and
fruit intake, eat a variety of vegetables, especially more green, red, orange vegetables. I will also try to
increase my intake of fat free milk or low fat milk products, such as yogurts, cheese and beans. After
comparing my diet to Kelley Watson s diet I believe that even though my diet was not healthy Kelly
Watson s diet was a lot worse than mine. The reason I state this is because she hardly consumed any of
the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that a person s diet should consume. In my opinion, I think that
my diet would have to be the healthier one because in my diet there were vegetables, minerals and a
small amount of nutrients that the body must have in a daily live. Even though both diets were not
healthy like they should have been, my diet is the one that provides the

Reality Television Has A Negative Effect On Teenage Girls
Reality Television is a relatively new phenomenon that has exploded over the last several years.
Whether it has to do with an extreme makeover or finding the supposed love of your life, reality
television has given us the opportunity to become voyeurs in others lives. Approximately, 50% of
television audiences are watching reality shows (Webster University). Long gone are the days of
whole television programs. Today, most reality shows depict women as an object, only defined and
valued by their sexuality. What kind of message is this sending to young girls? The purpose of this
study is to show that reality television can have a negative effect on teenage girls. This matters
because it can lead to the sexualization of young girls. The greater the exposure to reality television,
the higher the sexualization of young girls. These findings can be of interest to TV programming
executives, who may change their business strategy as a result of our findings. This research differs
from the past in that it focuses solely on girls and not the differences that arise between girls and boys
in reality television viewing.
Problem of Practice: The sexualization of women in many of today s reality shows leads to a negative
effect on young girls. How girls learn about their value and worth can be greatly impacted by the
degrading roles many of these reality stars portray. It sets high unrealistic expectations of the way
young girls are supposed to act. Women are

Records are kept to promote, provide and improve the care provided for patients. They are also used
for audits and quality assurance carried out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Records contain very sensitive personal information; they are regarded as legal documents and are a
legal requirement to be kept. All information written in files should always be clear, useful and
relevant. Do not include anything irrelevant or opinions that are not backed up by facts. Only the
patient whose notes you are writing in should be written about and all entries should be clear, factual
and true.
MANUAL INFORMATION STORAGE SYSTEMS These are systems which do not use any
computerised device. All data would usually be kept on paper in a manual filing system. The most
common type of file used is a brown manila folder which would contain all documents fastened
inside. Other types would be ring binders, lever arc files and computer printouts which have been
bound.
All files in a manual storage system have to be organised and stored to make them easily accessible. If
there are not too many files that need to be organised an alphabetical system may be used. All files
would be stored in a lockable filing cabinet or cupboard. Files

of turning new ideas and putting these into widely used practices. (Joe TIdd) Government digital
service is a collection of government s cabinet office with the responsibility of transforming the
government digital service.
This essay aims to examine the innovation challenges faced by Government digital service along with
the opportunities, which arise with the invention of government digital service. The Essay focuses on
what is innovate about the government digital service, how sustainable is the operating model, if GSD
was disruptive, strategies GSD can use to establish platform thinking and how GSD can influence the
public s use of government s digital platform.
Inventions such as Government digital services are faced with challenges that incur as a result of the

major challenge it faces is the culture of department silos and their relationships with the IT oligarchs .
Success in innovation appears to depend upon two key ingredients technical resources (people,

Last week I received an assignment to go out and try a new cuisine or step out of my comfort zone . I
took up the challenge and on September 7, I went to Gregg s. Gregg s was a family style restaurant
that served American cuisines. As for me this is something different because if I were to go out and eat
it would be a restaurant that was more like a chain restaurants, the restaurants that you see on
commercials. Just to name a few, I would go to Applebee s, Chili s, or Friday s. The day started off
with me waking up and going to Boston for breakfast. Whenever I drive up to Boston I usually eat
dim sum and I get the same thing every time I go. I took it upon myself to try something I wouldn t

Elizabeth Holmes Research Paper
How can you be the youngest American self made billionaire and a college drop out? Thirty year old
Elizabeth Holmes accomplished this with her company Theranos. I think a lot of young people have
incredible ideas and incredible insights, but sometimes they wait before they go to give their life
something, she said, what I did was just to start a little earlier (Holmes). Elizabeth dropped out of
Stanford University at the age of 19 and cashed the funds for her tuition to start her company. Her
company took the $76 billion industry in laboratory diagnostics head on. This industry hasn t changed
since the modern clinical laboratory emerged in the 1960 s. Elizabeth s company wants to use a
pinprick of blood in a container smaller than a dime to do 50 plus blood diagnostics in one. This
means no vials of blood, no tourniquets and less time than the traditional test time. All the things the
company is trying to create are amazing. These advancements will not only help with earlier

with many allegations that their tests are inaccurate. They are being investigated by many agencies. In
many of the interviews she did, she stated that they were actually making these devices that worked.
Theranos was a gigantic fraud; this doesn t mean that they committed fraud. You can lie to the

Animator Vs Illustrator
Animator vs. Illustrator Many people know the general difference between an animator and an
illustrator, however there are many more differences and similarities under the surface. There are
many instances in which people have double majored in both animation and illustration, but they are
vastly different in what they do. In their jobs animators and illustrators work on different platforms
and medias, have different job environments, and have different consumers for their works. Animators
use three dimensional technology to create their pieces. Their technology often varies, but narrows
down to a tablet used for drawing. Illustrators often work using sketch pads, charcoal or graphite
pencils to create their works. Animators have many different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

promote themselves online or outright to customers. Illustrators can create pieces for someone who
just wants to have a piece of art, or someone who wants to promote their business. Animators work in
studios, with a desk to themselves and a tablet and their computers. Illustrators can work in studios,
but most times work at home on their own time. When both animators and illustrators are charging for
commissions, they can either charge on the hour or pre set prices on the type of commissions. Pre set
commissions can range from line art, rough sketches, busts or full body shots. Animators and
illustrators are completely different jobs, but often overlap with each other. They use different medias
to complete their respective pieces, have different job environments, and different consumers for their
work. Though both sides are very hard to do, people will still choose to train as both to gain more job
opportunities. Being an animator or an illustrator are still tough and

Essay on The Emergence of the Chartist Movement
The People s Charter, drafted in 1838 by William Lovett and Francis Place was at the heart of a radical

When the reform act emerged the working classes where dissatisfied as the act which promised so
much delivered very little.
The act did not enfranchise the working classes and the attitude of the Whig government in power
offered little hope to the working classes of them achieving the right to vote, this split the working
class and set the working class against the government.
Hostility between the working classes and the government intensified further with the implementation
of the poor law in 1832. The aim of the poor law was to reduce the burden of costs to the ratepayers,
remove inefficiency and end the giving of relief to those
in their own homes and insist that they enter the workhouse if in need of help or support. This new act
led to fear and suspicion as the workingman was being punished by the upper class as well as a
distinction between the `deserving and `undeserving poor. They saw this as being punished for being
poor.
The Poor Law Amendment act Passed Stated That:
No able bodied person was to receive money or other help from the Poor Law authorities except in a
workhouse;
Conditions in workhouses were to be made very harsh to discourage people from wanting to receive
help;
Workhouses were to be built in every parish or, if parishes were too small, in unions of parishes;
Ratepayers in each parish or union had to elect a Board of Guardians to supervise the workhouse, to
collect the Poor Rate and to send reports to the Central

The Impact that Physical Education Can Have on Encouraging...
One of the definitions of Physical Education is; regular instruction in physical exercise and games in
schools and other institutions (Oxford English Dictionary). It is compulsory in the UK for every child
up to the age of 16. Physical Education has been adapted immensely to fit the needs of young people
and is still continuing to change. There are an increasing number of young people leading sedentary
lifestyles by watching television instead of doing physical activity (British Heart Foundation, 2012).
In this essay, ideas have been challenged and there is a distinct argument about the impact that PE can
have on encouraging young people to engage in physical activity.

From 1992 until 2008, the different forms of the National Curriculum for Physical Education have
been focused around the notion of Sport and Performance. There was a strong emphasis on
competition and finding elite performers which may not be an ideal approach. Many children dislike
the competitive element of sport and would rather take part for personal or social reasons. This
wouldn t encourage young people to sustain physical activity levels as they may not want to compete
and have only seen physical activity in a competitive light. In 2008, the new National Curriculum was
launched and its priority was given to health and physical activity rather than sport. This reduced the
amount of competitive elements and made it more about taking part. Some would say that the 4th
NCPE was seen as successful as in 2007, 17% of boys and 16% of girls aged 2 15 were classified as
obese and this decreased as in 2009, 16% of boys and 15% of girls aged 2 15 were seen as obese
(Statistics on Obesity, Physical Activity and Diet England, 2009 and 2011). This slight decrease could
be down to the change in the type of activities offered in school although it may not be the only factor.
Giving young people the opportunity to set personal goals rather than basing everything around
competition would promote life long participation in physical activity as they will get a sense of
achievement from completing that specific goal. However, this focus on health and

The Alabama State Of Alabama Essay
In 1817, Congress divided the Mississippi Territory into two parts. The eastern part was set up as the
Alabama Territory. President James Monroe appointed Dr. William Wyatt Bibb, of Georgia, Governor
of the Alabama Territory. The first Alabama territorial legislature met at St. Stephen s, located in
Washington County, Alabama. As it s first official act, a petition was sent to the National Congress
asking that the Federal Government give financial aid to internal improvements. The Alabama
Territory had a short life, for it was organized merely as a step towards statehood. On March 2, 1819,
Congress authorized the territorial legislature to make arrangements for a constitutional convention to
draw up a constitution for a proposed state of Alabama. By 1819, the population of the Alabama
country was almost 128,000. About one third of this number were slaves. The slaveholders were
located mostly in the valleys of the greater rivers, the Tennessee, Tombigbee, Alabama, Black Warrior,
Canada, Coosa and Tallapoosa. Among them were a number of planters who owned large plantations
and many slaves. As more settlers came into Alabama from Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia,
towns sprang up in north Alabama. Huntsville was the largest town in the Alabama territory and it
served as the temporary capital. During the summer of 1819, 44 elected representatives met in
Huntsville to write Alabama s constitution. The people of Alabama disagreed over where the capital of

La Descente Dans La Folie Chapter 10 Analysis
La Descente D un Aigle Dans La Folie The Battle of Bautzen Chapter One The wind whispers
something lethal. Clouds, hailing not from the heavens but a more sinister source, man s ingenuity,
engulf the battlefield with gunpowder and soot. Behind this curtain of smoke an orchestra of death
awaits its conductor s directions. The conductor, however, is silent, busy probing the enemy s lines for
weaknesses, but to his dismay the enemy s center remains formidable. Frustration builds as he realizes
that his marshals attacks on the Russian s left flank the previous day had failed to divert manpower
from the enemy s center. A young hussar rides up to him with a message. Ney is ready. The messenger
says. He turns to his gunners and orders them to concentrate their fire on the enemy s center. All of a
sudden the curtain retreats and from it flames reach out for the nearest victims. The effect is
devastating. The Russian s first line nearly collapses, and yet he refrains from committing his reserves.
His marshals implore him to act but their protests are fruitless. Little do they know that their emperor
has already won this battle. Napoleon returns to the role of spectator, ... Show more content on

Relationship Between A Manufacturer And A Distributor
Writing Assignment #2
The relationship between a manufacturer and a distributor is a crucial part in the success of a business
alliance or partnership. It is necessary to pay close attention to the relationship between manufacturers
and distributors in terms of trust, alliances and conflict. Manufacturers and distributors should select
each other appropriately and wisely because each member of the supply chain has different
expectations for the other. The most common two paths for a manufacturer to enter the market through
distribution are exclusively and non exclusively. Information on relations and channel paths is
significant because it will be easier be able to include them in my other projects and classes
throughout the rest of academic and professional careers.
The most vital concepts I learned in IDIS 340 is how important it is for manufacturers and distributors
to choose the right business partners. Market share is the main driver for manufacturers, so they must
turn their attention to distributors that have a wide range of access to the market. Profitability is the
primary focus of distributors so they should choose manufacturers that have a strong market brand,
supply the appropriate products to meet the market s demands, and offers a technical sales team.
Sharing common goals and visions is perhaps the most significant element in choosing how to align a
manufacturer and distributor.
After aligning with proper distributors, manufacturers have expectations that they

  • 2. Cgi Lesson Plan How did my teaching/learning activities help students reach the goals for today? My goal for my CGI lesson was to have students solve a word problem using anyone of their math strategies that they have been working on with the master teacher. However, I also wanted them to add an equation sentence to their strategy because that is what they will be doing in 1st grade rather than just drawing pictures. When I was grading their work, I can say 81% of the class met the objective for the day, which means only 5 students got the problem wrong and 22 students showed a strategy with the correct answer. Out of the 22 students who used a math strategy and got the right answer, only 3 didn t show an equation sentence. Grading students work made me ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Each student has a magnet with their number on it and they can either move it up for good behavior or down for bad behavior. When I am trying to get everyone to look at the TV for instruction and students are not engaged, that is when I call on a few students to move their magnet up, which gets the other students attention because they want their magnet moved up. I feel this is the best strategy that I learned, however, when the master teacher does it, it works a lot better than when I do it. Once students start to get comfortable with me, I feel that the classroom management strategies that I use, just like the master teacher, will work a lot better. To try and get my students under control, especially when they re talking, I have been using chants to get them focused on the task at hand. This is something that the master teacher does often, so I want to continue the routine. However, when she does the chants, I feel like the class responds better, but I am hoping that students will feel comfortable with me soon. Some chants include: I say macaroni and they say cheese or When I say voices you say? and the students say, shhh and we continue that until everyone is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Enzyme Case Study Once the Cas enzyme is selected (in this case Cas9), the gRNA and healing fragment built, these elements will be cloned into the basal viral vector to produce the HPV CRISPR CAS9 mediated repair plasmid (HCCMRP). It is the hope that this vector once introduced into the epithelial cells with the aforementioned mutation will revert the Stk11 mutation as seen in the (figures 3 4 in appendix). The HCCMRP will be multiplied by PCR and sequenced to confirm the presence of all required components. To administer this plasmid in the body we will use the HPVs natural mechanism for targeting epithelial cells by placing the HCCMRP in the HPVs protein capsid. This will be done by once again transforming the HeLa cells, however, this time with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The clinicians nor the patients will know if they have received the treatment, the control, or the treatment with immunosuppressants. For safety patience will be kept in isolation for the duration of the trial to prevent the spread of the HPV if it is shown to have unforeseen negative effects in humans In the first phase 4 colon epithelial cell cultures will be grown. One will be designated as a control whereas the remaining cultures will be infected with the viral healing serum. The cultures will be grown for three weeks allowing the CRISPR repair to take place and the spread of more HPV healing viruses to uninfected cells. Once this incubation period is over a miniprep protocol will be used to extract the genome of the colon epithelial culture and the HCCMRP. The genome of the colon epithelial cells will be examined by microarray high throughput analysis to examine the ratio of reverted wild type STK11 cells and those who are still mutant. The ratio is expected to be low around .25 however since this is a long term treatment this is significant enough for our means. The extracted HCCMRP and its predecessor used to make the viral healing serum will be compared to analyse mutation rate (if any) to determine the risk of this treatment. The second phase will involve the testing with 150 mice with the mutation in the STK11 gene which this treatment was designed to revert. The mice will be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Synthesis Of Iron Research Paper Iron is a chemical element with the symbol Fe and atomic number 26. It has a melting point of 1,538 Ā°C and a boiling point of 2,862 Ā°C. The term ferric refers to any compound or material containing iron. The oxidation numbers 2+ and 3+ denote the chemical structure of the ferric compound. [11] By its mass, iron is the most common element on earth forming much of the inner and outer core of the planet. Iron is the most abundant transition metal in the body. It is involved in many bodily functions such as the transport of oxygen and electrons, the production of energy and the synthesis of DNA. As iron is a transition metal it has loosely bound electrons in its outer shell, these loosely bound electrons can catalyse the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the body. This catalysing reaction can lead to mutations in the cell, DNA strand breaking and oncogene activation. ROS or free radicals are compounds within the cell which contain an unpaired electron and are therefore unstable and react within the cell. It is thought that the DNA damage within the cell caused by the ROS is a substantial factor in the carcinogenic process. [11] As iron can cause toxicity in the body many mechanisms have developed to regulate the free iron in our systems. All cells within our bodies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once the iron passes through the membrane, it enters a compartment known as the intracellular labile Fe pool. ApoTf remains bound to the TfR and is then released by exocytosis. • 6. Summary Of Appiah s Death Of The Duel In the first half of Death of the Duel, Appiah begins by providing the details of a duel between two prominent British government officials, using the specific example as a jumping point to discuss the general idea of dueling. The form of honor being represented in this case is that of reputation and the maintenance of regard from the general public. This concept of honor as a form of social standing is interesting because it subverts Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs and many other psychological theories that try to map out human instinct which places safety and security in higher regard than it does esteem or ego. In the case of the duel, honor is considered the highest human need, even above life itself if one considers the death toll, although that mainly applies to the aristocratic class, who had most of their basic needs taken care of already. In the case of dueling, the society at the time seemed to conflate the ideas of respect and honor, assuming that the characteristic of honorability automatically entitled one to respect from peers and lower classes. Appiah, however, distinguishes the two by noting that honor is the individual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While Appiah believes there is only pride in doing things out of the ordinary, I believe that it also takes courage and honor to follow honor codes in everyday circumstances. Being honorable is difficult sin a world where honorable behavior, contrary to Appiah s belief, is not actually standard behavior. For example, a student witnesses two bullies harassing another student and steps in to stop them. While this might be fairly standard honorable behavior, that does not mean the student shouldn t feel proud of their actions and the courage they took. The pride doesn t detract from the previously honorable actions. In his argument, Appiah seems to conflate the idea of pride personal satisfaction with vanity and the need to boost reputation, which I hold to be two separate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Wilson Vs Macomber Essay In Ernest Hemingway s short story, The Short, Happy life of Francis Macomber, Hemingway uses the writer s craft of perspective to develop the characterization of the three protagonists. Wilson, Margaret, and Macomber s characterization develops through multiple perspectives and techniques that help to create a consistently negative tone. Through reading this story, readers can better understand how to view other people s actions and their own. In Hemingway s short story, it is evident to readers that Wilson, despite being a professional hunter, is self centered, refuses to take responsibility for his actions, and is unethical. Wilson s self centered, apathetic regard for the Macombers marital issues is shown through how willing he is to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Wilson s internal dialogue, readers can also see that though he tends to judge others, he rarely criticizes his own actions. Near the ending of the book, readers can see the way Wilson views his behaviors, and just how skewed his morals really are. Wilson s unethical nature is exemplified through his acceptance and normalization of sleeping with married women. On page nineteen, the text states that, He, Robert Wilson, carried a double size cot on safari to accommodate any windfalls he might receive. This description of Wilson allows the reader to understand just how selfish and immoral Wilson is. Not only does he commit shameful acts and justify himself, but he does it on a regular basis and with a lot of people.Though he admits to despising many of these people, as long as they will pay him well enough, he is willing to do anything. Truly, Wilson, despite lowering himself to such pitiful standards, still views himself as superior to everyone else. Despite Wilson s professionalism as a hunter, through analyzing Hemingway s description of Wilson and Wilson s internal dialogue, readers can see that his ethics are very unprofessional. There are two modern works that represent these ideas to society , Divergent and The Hunger Games. Both novels portray a cataclysmic decline in society in the way that these dystopian elements are present. The novels referenced above feature an omnipotent authority in the form of Snow from The Hunger Games and Jeanine and Eric from Divergent. The factions, Divergent, and capital, The Hunger Games, represent totalitarian government, and oppression and cruelty elicited through the large wage gap cause mistrust among its people. • 9. Server Clustering Technology And Cloud Computing Essay Introduction The current report focuses on Server Clustering Technology and Cloud Computing. Server clustering and cloud computing are the latest technology used in the world widely. A cluster a parallel or distributed system that consists of a collection of interconnected computer systems or servers that is used as a single unified computing unit. Members of a cluster are referred to as nodes or systems. The invention of Cloud computing has helped in ever faster and ever cheaper computaĀ¬tion. Analysis ļ® Cluster A Cluster is defined as a group of independent server (nodes) in a computer system, which are accessed and presented as a single system and in turn enables high availability and, in few cases, cluster also plays important role in load balancing and parallel processing. Since it is hard to predict the number of requests that will be allocated to a networked server, clustering also plays vital role for load balancing to distribute processing and communications activity consistently across a network system so that no particular server is overloaded. Server clusters can be used to make sure that users have constant access to important server based resources. Types: Server clusters are of three types, depending on how the nodes are connected to the devices that store the cluster configuration and state data. It should be stored in a way that allows each active node to obtain the data even if single or more nodes are down. The data that is stored on a resource, it is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Stress In Dogs And Owners Stress in Dogs and their Owners As a dog lover, owner and trainer, it is important to be able to know and identify the signs of stress in dogs to make sure they are living their best lives. Similarly, understanding and recognising stress in owners is also important in case it arises in classes. This will help in making sure both dog and owner are enjoying and learning during the class and to avoid conflict in class. Stress is caused when an individual is unable to cope with pressure, usually emotional or mental. Symptoms of stress in dogs can manifest themselves in many physical forms, such as the following (Burch and Bailey, 2008; Miller, 2012; Rugaas, 2006): Anorexia: decrease or loss of appetite Appeasement behaviours: lip licking, grinning ... Knowing this, it is best to try and make the environment as comfortable for the dog as is reasonable for a puppy class. This is not to say you should cater to their every need, it is important for puppies to be socialised, experiencing new things in a positive way. However, it is worth keeping an eye on what it is that stresses the dog out and if the stress continues or intensifies as classes continue, to try and remove that source of stress from the pup s ... Now, we can t control lighting and that has been a huge cause of wildfires in Utah, but we still have things we can do to keep us safe, and animals safe. I personally live in a beautiful valley that s already had two fires in the last six months. These fires have miraculously been controlled, making it so I don t have to evacuate my home. World Beer Consumption Claudia Ruiz October 3, 2011 MGMT 80 International Business Written Assignment: The World Beer Industry Beer Around the World Approximately, 100 billion liters of beer are consumed around the world every year (Olfir, 2007). The worldwide growth rate of beer consumption has been recorded for the past 19 years (Kirin Holdings, 2005). This, however, is not to say that the beer consumption around the world is alike. The alcoholic beverage consumption levels around the world and the rates at which these increase vary from one country to another. For example, in India the annual consumption of beer is .5 litters per capita (Gupta, 2007), where as in Czech Republic, the consumption of beer is 156.9 liters per capita per year ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the industry could possibly help the economic stability of a country, I believe it does a greater harm to the different nations. I believe that one possibly solution that would allow the beer industry to prosper without causing much harm, is if as they enter a nation to introduce their product, they help create programs that educate people on the consumption of alcohol. I believe that if people are educated on the subject matter and know the consequences of drinking this product, they will continue to consume the beverage but being more responsible. This, in my opinion, will not have a negative affect on the beer industry. Another way that a nation can prevent the consequences of alcohol consumption caused by worldwide brewers is by creating greater taxation or other barriers that would hinder the production and selling of beer in their nation. This scenario, however, might be one that the beer industry might one to avoid. Unlike my first suggestion, this would have a greater negative impact on the industry. Such situation would lower sales in the given country affecting the revenue of the company. I also believe that although the rate of alcohol consumption in many developing countries is increasing, these rates will begin to slow down. Creating a way for us to communicate spread ideas and further enriches our lives, language both verbally and written, has been a great benefit to our lives. Unfortunately not everyone is as quick to understand language in its forms, for example when a person may have difficulties in reading. Obviously this would create a great hindrance to a person s life, and there have been a few identified factors that have correlated with difficulties in learning to read. One of the main connections that has been found is that a person who has difficulty in processing sounds of words, that they may also have lessened reading abilities. In discussing ... For one, even though there has been shown to be a link between auditory and verbal abilities and reading, they are only parts of what make up the entire whole process of reading (Bishop and Snowling 2004, Cain et al. 2004). Secondly is because there are a few important distinctions to make between the two group sets. First would be the types of skills that fall in each group. Examples of skills that fall within the phonological side are letter sound knowledge and phoneme awareness (Hulme et al. 2012). In discussing phonemes, they can be defined as a unit of sound to distinguish units of meaning or put more simply, the different noises that when put together create words (Fox and Routh 1980). Non phonological skills on the other hand would relate to semantics along with dealing with the definitions and comprehension of words (Bowyer Crane et al. 2008). The second is the problems associated within each skill set. When dealing with problems associated with reading, on the phonological side concerns with word decoding may arise if these skills slack (Bowyer Crane et al. 2008). With non phonological skills issues, problems with reading comprehension can occur (Bowyer Crane et al. 2008). In discussing problems that arise within the phonological group set, along with more in depth skill insights, a number of researchers have found vital breakthroughs. Dive Mask Research Paper SCUBA DIVING GEAR 101: The Basics As much as we, humans, would like to swim and dive in open waters without any form of protection and aid, our anatomy just isn t perfectly designed to handle underwater conditions for long amounts of time. This is where SCUBA Diving gear comes in. SCUBA Diving gear allows us to see, breathe, swim and stay warm underwater. To beginners, this stuff might look like it came from a sci fi alien invasion movie, so we ll discuss each one to help you understand. The Dive Mask. This piece of equipment protects your eyes from sea salt and other nasty sea stuff. But more importantly, the dive mask lets you ogle at the beauty of the underwater world! The dive mask separates your eyes (and sometimes nose) from water and creates an air pocket to let you see clearly underwater. The mask is fastened on the diver s face because of something called elastomer skirt , but we don t have to worry about that yet! All it means is that the water can t get through and your mask won t suddenly come off. The Snorkel. It s like a straw, but instead of sucking water or beverage, we actually use this to breathe through our mouths. The snorkel allows us to breathe while facing down when underwater. • 17. Consequentialism, By John Stuart Mill Essay Consequentialism is a broad ethical theory that describes one s actions to be good or bad depending solely upon the consequences of those actions. The distinguishing element of this theory from others is that the action itself has no value without analyzing the expected consequences, as explained by William H. Shaw in Consequentialism , ...when it comes to rightness or wrongness, nothing matters but the results of our actions (Shaw 28). Then the question is, what exactly does it mean for a consequence to be deemed good ? Utilitarianism, a more specific form of consequentialism, answers this by describing a good action to be one that brings about the most happiness or well being for everyone. John Stuart Mill states, The creed which accepts as the foundation of morals utility or the greatest happiness principle holds that actions are right in proportion as they tend to promote happiness: wrong as they tend to produce the reverse of happiness (Mill 7). This theory seems simple when applied to everyday situations. However, it can become tricky when applied to more complex, multi faceted, situations. Obviously there are differentiating levels of happiness. For example, in a situation where it seems there may be no such thing as a happy outcome, the anticipated consequence that is deemed to be the lesser of two evils would be perceived to bring about the most well being compared to the other choice. This theory may also seem difficult because it is based on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Causes for this include poor planning, not being able to compete in a challenging market, or a lot of debt. Opening a business takes a lot of planning and patience. If you rush to open up a business without any financial planning, you could possibly fail. Studying microeconomics can help you in this situation. Before your studying and planning, you need to be aware that starting a business is not easy and there are going to be many things that come along with it. This can include writing out a business plan, strategy, and advertising. You should also figure out if you are going to have employees in your business, how many you will need, and the insurance that will be included. If you are opening a business that falls in the retail category, you may want to consider looking for vendors and suppliers which will really help in starting your retail business. Looking at where you are going to open your business is very important. Always inspect where your location to assure that is where you will want to open your business. Taking out a loan is the best route to take, but you also need to make sure you will be able to pay it back. This is a main reason why financial and business planning is really important. There was a strong emphasis on competition and finding elite performers which may not be an ideal approach. Many children dislike the competitive element of sport and would rather take part for personal or social reasons. This wouldn t encourage young people to sustain physical activity levels as they may not want to compete and have only seen physical activity in a competitive light. In 2008, the new National Curriculum was launched and its priority was given to health and physical activity rather than sport. This reduced the amount of competitive elements and made it more about taking part.
