National Peace and Security
Security is everywhere. It is needed for virtually everything that is accessed today. From starting your
car, to logging onto Facebook, to clocking in at work, security is always present. One of the most
noticeable forms of security is the police and the Army. They are the security for the country, both for
internal and external threats. Police are more internal security, dealing with crimes caused by the
general population. Army deals with outside threats, by addressing situations that are overseas that can
cause harm to those within the States. To protect from these threats, the security appears to look
intimidating, due to powerful weapons and armor placed upon the person. However, when this
happens, a side effect occurs, where the civilians may become scared of the force, and begin to distrust
the security, and also began to fear corruption. To be able to stop this side effect from happening, the
security sector reformation must find the corrupt who cause the distrust and fear to occur, and end it.
The way to best reform the security sector within societies within transition is by finding and
removing the corrupt, and by doing that, you will raise faith in the security sector by the people. High
Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay says in an 2011 Human Rights Council I call on all those
in positions of authority to take steps to prevent the commission of crimes or acts of revenge, and for
other concerned parties to strongly refrain from undertaking any acts

British Control Over The Suez Canal
In 1882, Great Britain took over Egypt through military invasions, making it a protectorate in order to
have control over the Suez Canal. The Suez Canal connected the British Empire in the west to India in
the east, making it significant trade route for Britain to control. During the Cold War, Egypt became an
area of great tension, challenging British control over the canal. There was an increase of nationalism,
along with the rise of Gamal Abdel Nasser to power. His rise to power lead to the Suez Canal Crisis
and Egypt s independence from Britain in 1956. The Arab Spring began in Tunisia in December, 2010,
eventually spreading to Egypt in 2011. British control over parts of Africa during the nineteenth
century lead to many crises in the 20th and 21st centuries, including the Suez Canal Crisis and the
Arab Spring in Egypt. The Cold War began soon after the Second World War ended, starting in 1947
and ending in 1991. The United States and the Soviet Union competed for nuclear superiority,
beginning a nuclear arms race. Most other countries were in debt because of the war, so the US and
the USSR became superpowers that other countries became allies with (Kte pi, par. 4). The American
side was called the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, and consisted of Belgium, Canada,
Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and the United

How Does Roald Dahl Use Humor
Roald Dahl uses comedy and humor in many ways throughout many of his books and movies. The
types of humor that he uses ranges from satire to dark humor to low comedy. Roald Dahl adds comedy
and humor to his books and movies to make them more interesting and funny. Humor also emphasizes
certain scenes or lines in a book making them stand out and more memorable. Roald Dahl puts humor
and comedy into his books and movies from experiences in his own life. This makes the funny and
humorous lines or scenes more realistic and relatable. By using types of comedy like physical humor,
satire, and dark humor; Roald Dahl makes it so that the reader is anywhere from chuckling to rolling
on the floor with laughter.
Roald Dahl uses physical humor a lot in books such as Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Some examples of when he uses physical humor are in Matilda The Trunchbull takes a little girl by
her pigtails and spins around in a hammer throw then letting go of the girl. The physical humor in this
is that The Trunchbull is throwing a girl by her pigtails and also when she is landing and she gets up
perfectly happy and ok with a bouquet of flowers. In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the physical
humor is when a chubby overweight boy gets shot up the chocolate tube like a bullet. ... Show more
He uses satire in many ways to make scenes funny. In Matilda he portrayed the mean headmaster The
Trunchbull as a plump mean old lady that had warts. This was an exaggeration of the mean, nasty
headmaster that he had when he went to boarding school. He used his personal experiences and he
used them for ideas in his books and movies. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was based off of his
school where the students tested out newly made chocolates and gave there feedback to the chocolate
company. He used satire by making every candy and chocolate amazing, huge, and punishing if the
