This document presents research on developing a self-emulsifying drug delivery system (SEDDS) to enhance the oral bioavailability of ibuprofen, a drug with poor water solubility. The SEDDS were prepared using oils, surfactants, and co-surfactants like Labrafac PG, Tween 80, and PEG 200. Formulations were evaluated for stability, dispersibility, drug release, and anti-inflammatory effects. The optimized SEDDS formulation showed higher drug solubility, faster release, and better anti-inflammatory activity compared to the marketed product, confirming SEDDS as an effective approach to improve ibuprofen absorption.
