The research focuses on enhancing the solubility and dissolution properties of the poorly soluble drug carvedilol using solid dispersion techniques with skimmed milk powder as a carrier. Various ratios of carvedilol and skimmed milk powder were prepared using rota-evaporation and lyophilization methods, demonstrating significant improvements in solubility and dissolution rates compared to the pure drug. The study concluded that the solid dispersions, particularly with a 1:7 ratio, yielded higher dissolution efficiency and stability, paving the way for improved bioavailability of carvedilol in pharmaceutical applications.
