This document discusses bridging the skills gap in healthcare in India. It notes that India faces a significant skills gap, with only 0.6 doctors and 0.02 lab technicians per 1000 people compared to global averages of 1.23 and 2.56. Max Institute of Health Education and Research (MIHER) aims to address this gap through various education and training programs. MIHER provides courses to develop skills from entry-level to physicians. It focuses on practical, simulation-based learning and partnerships with hospitals, schools, and state governments. The goal is to produce skilled healthcare professionals to meet India's needs.
