This document discusses the aims and objectives of teaching physical science in secondary school. The main purpose is to enable students to systematically grasp the basic knowledge of physical science needed for further study in modern science and technology.  The main purpose of teaching physical
science in secondary school is to enable
students to grasp systematically the basic
knowledge of physical science needed for
the further study of modern science and
technology.

 Physical science can claim an honorable place
in school curriculum. So the aims and
objectives of teaching physics must be based
on some criterion.

following criteria for selection of aims.

chemistry.

require a sound knowledge of physics.

 Objectives are the specific and precise
behavioral outcomes of teaching a particular
topic or lesson of physical science.

Intellectual ability refer to the situations in
which the indivitual is expected to bring
specific technical information to bear on a new
problem.

10. Objectives actually control other
factors of physics teaching to great extend
therefore more emphasis be laid on writing
the objectives in the behavioral terms for each
unit of class room instructions in physics and
chemistry.
