This document summarizes a virtual learning session on using discovery and action dialogues to address the problem of controlling superbugs. The session covered an introduction to positive deviance, which focuses on identifying uncommon behaviors that enable some individuals to find better solutions to problems than their peers. Discovery and action dialogues were discussed as a hands-on method to uncover existing solutions. They involve multidisciplinary groups answering questions to identify barriers, solutions, and actions to address a specific problem. Example questions and tips for facilitating the dialogues were provided. Participants then practiced leading a sample dialogue in breakout groups. Next steps included continuing to use the dialogue process, collecting data, and joining a community of practice for further support.
