experience was the importance of team dynamics and communication in collaborative projects, and

weeks, I have become much more knowledgeable on the topic of slavery. People on both sides of the

resistance to the end of slavery was likely out of fear, but some of the proslavery arguments were
completely ridiculous. John C. Calhoun once noted that slavery was necessary to keep the United
States from having internal conflicts. He believed that it was the free blacks that caused the social

convinced that the South was exempt from these disturbances because many of the African Americans
were slaves and had no means to cause these public disturbances. For these Southerners, slavery was

his state were using their benefits to buy drinks and cigarettes at bars, or even at strip clubs. However
