Revenue Management Executive January 2013 – Present
Due to the absence of a Director of Revenue from September 1, 2015, I’ am acting Revenue Manager
and responsible for the following revenue tasks: daily & weekly revenue reports, forecasting, 2016
budget preparations, facilitating actively in weekly revenue meetings, set rate strategies, updating &
managing 3rd
party websites and actively worked with ROS (Revenue Optimization System).
In this role I am assisting the Director of Revenue in preparing the longer term forecast and achieving the
hotel forecast accuracy goals. Provide direction to the hotels revenue generating team and ensure
execution of effective strategies and actions for total revenue management, pricing, yield management,
forecasting and channel delivery to achieve agreed RevPar, RGI, system delivery, Brilliant Basics and
profitability objectives. Conduct revenue management audits in line with Starwood standards and focus
on continuous improvement. Assisting on pricing rate structure of different seasons, assisting in
preparation of 30 – 60-90 day fully updated forecast in Revenue Plan. Participating in property’s weekly
Revmax and contribute to the operations meeting. Act as representative of the Director of Revenue
Management when is he unavailable. Controlling valhalla with regards with rate plans & other actions
needed, creating new rate plans, new seasons, delimiting WIPs rate plans. Accountable in Online Travel
Agency (OTA) changes & enhancements. Accountable for the set up of Direct Connect ( Booking.com &
Expedia.)Do the ROS Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Checklist. Ensuring that rate availability in the
Property Management System (PMS) , property website and OTA’s shopping web. Dealing with the Digital
Field Marketing (DFM) regarding property packages (SOP), ensures that all are visible and selling on the
property LPS .Providing the business on the books, pick up/loss report on daily basis. Receiving contracts
from GRST to update in Lanyon.
Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel
Groups Coordinator May 2011 – December 2012
Ensuring that all groups’ inquiries are entered into and reviewed on Group Optimizer in order to review
suitability of the business. Traces to be set every enquiry after maximum of 24 hours and ensure trace
report is completed on a daily basis. Compile contract for all groups and events associated business for
authorized hotel signatory. Ensure that a copy of the proposal, contract and TLGo analysis are attached
to the business block for future reference. Actively sell the benefits of Stargroups to all clients in order
to meet specific on line revenues. Attends daily events briefing providing accurate updates on details of
bookings and enquiries.
Attend weekly revenue strategy meeting chaired by the Director of Revenue. Ensuring that tentative
blocks information is updated to the Director of Sales to present at the revenue strategy meeting.
Ensure regular updates in Opera on specific bookings with 30/60/90 timeframe are provided provided in
order to assist Director of Revenue & Events /Assistant Manager in accurate forecasting
Must demonstrate an awareness of the importance of body language in communication and interaction
with others. Take part in special projects as directed by the Director of Revenue Management/Director
of Sales.
