Daniel Whenman proposes creating a music video for the song "swimming pools (drank)" by Kendrick Lamar. The video will have two parts: singers impersonating the artists in front of a green screen, and images from parties spliced throughout. Additional products include a digipak with artist information and a magazine advertisement for the new video. Through research, Whenman has learned techniques for cutting and shot composition to match the rhythm and mood. The target audience is males aged 18-30. Minimal equipment is needed - just a camera, tripod, and editing software. Whenman's goals are to do well in exams, create a professional product, and make others happy.

2. My main product.
A music video will make up my main product.
The song will be “swimming pools (drank)”
preformed by kendrick lamar. The video will be 2
main parts, the first is some singers
impersonating them, and then images from
party's spliced in to the shot. And a couple of
seconds of water and swimming pools. The song
is mainly about troubled teenagers, and how they
drink away there problems.

3. Subsidiary products
In addition to the music video I will be creating a
digipak. This will contain information about the
artist. And photos on set etc. also I will be
righting a magazine add publishing the new
music video.

4. Research
I have done a lot of research into different music
videos. These can be found under the research
tab on my front page on my blog.

5. What have I learnt?
Over the last couple of weeks through research I
have learnt a lot. The types of cuts in the videos
and how to match them with the rhythm. And how
to use mid and long shots. And how I want the
performer to help in the music video.

6. Ideas
As I have said, my idea is have 2 videos spiced
together. The first one is a video in front of a
green screen. Of people pretending to be the
rappers, this gets cuts into a video progressing
through the night, and during the “drank” part I
will have a part of people in swimming pools. Etc.

7. Target audiences
My song is R&B. there for the video will have to
reflect this. My target audience is males aged 18-
30. I know this is a wide age gap but as the song
has many levels, different age groups will have a
different relationship with the song, dependent of
there age.

8. Locations
Locations for my video are so easy as the main
part of the video is going to be in front of a green
screen. Which then I will use different effects.
The next part will just be in my house, with
dimmed lights etc.

9. Equipment and skills.
There is limited equipment I need, just a camera
and a tripod. And then just a editing software. I
wont need any music recording items as im just
going to lay the track on during post production.

I just want to do well in my exams
