- 3. Song choice My song choice is My Moment- DJ Drama ft 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Jeremih. My reasoning for this song; • Lyrics are easy to lip sink • It has a strong beat which will be beneficial for on-beat editing. • The message which the song promotes (working hard and waiting for your time to shine) is something which I believe I can replicate in my music video. • It is a Hip-Hop/Rap song. These often appeal to a younger audience which is something I think I will be good at doing.
- 4. Video Ideas The genre of my music video will be performance. I chose to do this as my artists are new names so therefore need to have as much exposure to the audience as possible. There are certain feature from the songs actual music video which I aim to incorporate. Features such as the ones in these print screens. In these images you can see the artist interacting with friends. This although small gives the whole music video a casual tone. I intend on shooting my music video in a real recording studio whilst the artists are ‘recording’ the song. This will add to the working hard message which the song promotes.
- 5. Lighting The lighting which I will use in my music video will be low-key. Ideally I am to use effects when editing the video to construct it into Black and White. I want to do this because I think it improves the authenticity of the video and makes it look more professional. Often when shooting outside the lighting can be very damaging in the final product as it can make the video look “amateurish”.
