Homelessness is one of the main problems plaguing the United States today, with low income
earners at a higher risk of becoming homeless than previous years. There have been countless laws
and ordinances put in place throughout the country in hopes of solving this growing problem but
many of them have failed to address one of the main things causing this issue, economic inequality
and the unequal distribution of wealth in the United States. Although there are many non profit
organizations working not only to get people off the streets, but to prevent them from becoming
homeless in the first place, they are facing an uphill battle until the United States government

discussing the strategies multiple non profit organizations, including the one I worked with last
semester, are using in their battle to combat homelessness, the relationship between economic

involved in empowerment and participatory programs is hard to achieve due to their social
exclusion. The gap between the poor in rural areas and those who are more wealthy is large and
widening Because the rural poor are socially excluded, often development organisations such as the
World Bank think of the poor are ignorant and complacent. More often they are not excluded from
participating in projects in a meaningful way, due to pre existing biased views that they are not

False Advertising Of Casey s General Store
Thousands of people everyday go to Casey s General Store things such as gas, food, drinks but
most people just eat the food without thinking. My questions include all of the food and drinks in
Casey s such as cosmic brownies or their homemade pizza. Which I think is false advertising
because the definition of homemade is made at home instead of a store or factory (Dictionary.com)
but, they are a store. Although many doctors and dietitians say you shouldn t eat gas station foodI
think you should because it s relatively cheap, by buying you re saying that you don t care, and
do you really want to know what s in it. Casey s food is cheap in some respects with all of their

J Paul Getty Museum
I visited the J Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, California in April of 2011. I was on a school trip
and at the beginning had no interest in going to this museum. However it being on the itinerary,
I just went along. Arriving at the Getty museum you could see how the building was a work of
art itself. It was like a sculpture jumping from ancient Greece mixed with a modern flare.
Holding over 40,000 pieces I did not know where to begin. Noticing a pamphlet with all the
information about the more famous paintings I saw the name Van Gogh and recognized it from
the art class I was in at the time. Therefore I made my way to this wing of the museum. The title
of the Van Gogh piece I saw and what I m choosing to write about is called Irises . As
