 Collect and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the
supply chain.
 Responsible for the Evaluation of New & existing suppliers & supplier performance improvement.
 Ensuring the full tool development (Appropriate tools, Jigs, Fixtures, Gauges & master samples) before
mass production.
 Follow-up with the suppliers for the PPAP documents for New product development
 Frequently auditing carried out at supplier to ensure quality of input / semi-finished / finished
components and also raw material confirmation & quality status.
 Collect and maintain supplier performance metrics, raw material and frequently evaluating
the supplier in terms of quality, delivery & performance.
 Reduce supplier rejection PPM through Problem solving techniques, Like...Poka- yoke ,KAIZEN
 Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and
value enhancement opportunities.
 Working with the supplier directly, create corrective action plans to address process Failures
(II). INCOMING INSPECTION AND SUPPLIER IMPROVEMENT:
 Preparing the lot inspection plan/report for press, Molding & casting as per the inspection standard for
developed parts and incoming materials.
 Carried out sample inspection report (SIR & PSIR ) for new developed components and ensured to
meet all parameters and dimensions.
 Participate in QMS meetings and present purchased part or product quality issues.
 Investigate reported external quality issues that are believed to be purchased part or product driven
and present findings at QMS meetings.
 Perform or lead root cause analysis on purchased part or product quality issues and work issue
through containment phase of corrective action process.
 Communicate and instruct suppliers on the use of a corrective action process and quality tools &
techniques.
 Identify repeat quality issues by supplier and maintain supplier quality scorecard.
 Recommend suppliers for qualification and / or disqualification based upon quality performance
2.IN-PROCESS CONTROL (LINE QUALITY / NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT).
 Initializing and developing the new product with APQP team and study the PFMEA, process control
tryouts & process capability.
 Design change request and design change note raised for the appropriate changes in the process &
improvements for updating the drawings ( PLM software )
 Conducting the process audit for every processes and product audit, final inspection and layout
inspection for the all products as per the TS requirement
 Ensuring that the critical dimensions are under control charts and SPC tools
3.QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM .
 Development, review and improvement of an overall Quality Management to ensure conformance to
processes, procedures, specifications and regulatory requirements, to be extended to EHS & Quality.
 Keep the organization updated the latest technologies in the market the changes in industry standard
and specifications
 Implementation and certification of the Quality Management System according ISO/TS 16949 /ISO
9001/ISO 14001 etc.
 Control of product documentation and production floor paperwork Co-operation with cross functional
team in terms of all quality related issues like audits, complaints, etc.; internal audits etc.
 Performing as a internal auditors reduce the variation , waste & improve the overall efficiency in
production levels.
4.CUSTOMER / WARRANTY RETURN HANDELING.
 Periodically monitoring the customer complaint and customer return ,Warranty return field failures
and find out the root causes through QC tools
 Implementing the countermeasure actions and horizontal deployment for the same and monitoring
the effectiveness.
 Updating the PDCA / 8D report for customer return failures / complaints.
 Perform gauges calibration.
 Cost estimating the gauges , instruments and testing equipment’s and maintain the calibration report /
