This is a well laid out double page spread as it has a big image which separates the two pages which shows that the person who makes the magazine is confident and believes they can use a whole page for a picture with no major information. The image is a low angle shot which shows that the people on the image are important and that the people in the crowd are captivated by the group. The lighting that is coming from the back right reflecting on the audience and the group, this is providing readers with the fact that it is a live performance and clearly an image captured during the performance. The lighting and the colours reflect the arctic (blue, cold) and this links to there name as well. The two images reflect the live performance and the two images on the page are connected with the columns which brings the whole double age spread together.

2. The medium close up of the singer on the left is an effective image as the reader has the main singer in focus and is enlarged. In the right hand corner there is a smaller, blurred image that is less clear than the drummer. This shows that the focus is on the main singer of the group rather than the rest of the group. The images at the bottom right hand side of the page don’t suggest who or what they are of, it might suggest that they are band members or that they are past images of the main singer on the left hand side of the page. The red text and white text is good as it contrasts with the black background and makes it stand out more. But on the other hand the red may represent danger on the page as that is what you associate the colour red with.

3. This is a great image to use as it shows all the band members in there own way. They all have different facial expressions some of which appear to be aggressive, serious or just evil. This may be a reflection of their individual personalities. Also the of there clothes may also reflect aspects of their personalities. Two of the characters are dressed in dark clothes which may be connected to their facial expressions, the other two are in lighter clothing. The title is dynamic as it stands out and is bold on the white background, this is good is at allows the reader to know who the page is talking about straight away. Having the blue stripes on the page splits it up and gives the spread more colour which makes the magazine pages more appealing and less dull. As this is a light colour and eye catching it makes the dull grey background have more of a cold feeling to it, it also makes it look more of an old fashioned image which may represent the style of music the band does. And also the image helps to split up the page how it is crossed over onto the right hand side of the double page spread.
